2009 Cadillac Cts-v ***700hp*** Recaro, 6 Speed, Ultraview, Nav, 46k, Loaded on 2040-cars
Novi, Michigan, United States
Hello, this listing is for a Supercharged 2009 Cadillac CTS-V sedan making a ridiculous 700hp!!! Chances are if you are looking at this auction you don't need me to tell you why this car is so awesome, but in case you do...
The car has the 6-speed manual transmission and is in great overall shape. The color is black on black. The exterior is in good shape and has normal wear and tear. The interior is basically flawless because I'm the only one who ever drives it. Non-smoker / no kids in the car ever. It has every option available from the factory including the heated/cooled Recaro performance seats, Ultraview panoramic sunroof, Navigation, and suede wrapped steering wheel. It had brand new Goodyear Eagle F1 tires installed last fall before the car went into storage for the winter; 90% tread life remaining on those. Regular oil changes every 5k with Mobil 1. The suspension is the stock factory magnetic ride shock setup. The car is modified, but still retains the remainder of the factory 100,000 mile powertrain warranty from GM. It has been tastefully modded and ALL performance work was done by a nationally known shop in southeast Michigan. No accidents, clean title. This car makes great power and is a BLAST to drive while still remaining tame while cruising! IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO GET INTO A V-SERIES, THIS IS BEST DEAL ON EBAY. Power modications:
Cosmetic modifications:
The car had a sticker price of $72k + tax new, and over $8000 has been invested into the modifications made since I purchased it. I'm sad to see it go, but it's time for me to move on to another project and I'd like to free up some cash flow. That is the ONLY reason I'm selling this. The car is currently being daily driven, but I work out of my house and put no more than 10-20 miles on it in a typical day. At the conclusion of the auction, the buyer can make payment through personal check (must wait for it to clear) or cashier's check / money order. No wire payments. No in person cash deals. If you have any questions or would like to see more pics of the car, or if you would like me to arrange a video chat and get a personal tour of the car, I would be happy to answer any serious inquiries. |

Cadillac finds a few more horsepower for ATS-V
Wed, Mar 25 2015We've rarely found cause to complain about a car getting more power, and guess what? That's not going to change here. After initially announcing that the new ATS-V would come to market with a Corvette-matching 455 horsepower, Cadillac has come back with an SAE-certified 464 horsepower. That, as Automobile points out, puts the high-performance ATS in spitting distance of the base Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and its 469 hp. Anyone else feeling bad for owners of the 425-hp BMW M3? While the ATS-V is getting a bit more grunt, somehow, we doubt Cadillac will adjust its previously published performance figures. Expect 60 miles per hour to arrive in 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 185 mph. As of this writing, a lucky Autoblog staffer is lapping the ATS-V around Circuit of the Americas in Austin as part of the sedan's big launch. So while we can't fill you in on its real-world performance just yet, expect a big update soon. Related Video:
GM intends to offer semi-autonomous vehicles by 2020
Fri, 30 Aug 2013Prepare for a few years of technological saber-rattling, as the world's automakers begin pushing to bring self-driving cars to market. Earlier this week, Nissan announced that it aims to offer autonomous vehicles by 2020, while Google, BMW and several other marks are working on similar efforts.
General Motors is doing things differently, though. Rather than push for a fully autonomous car, it's continuing to refine its semi-autonomous Super Cruise, a product that we tested in April 2012 and that will eventually see use on some Cadillacs before trickling down to the rest of the General Motors family. Super Cruise, which is undergoing testing in the Cadillac SRX, doesn't take complete control out of the driver's hands. Rather, under a very specific set of circumstances on the freeway, it will marry the capabilities of things like lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control to allow the driver to take their hands off the wheel. All of which sounds a lot like the system Mercedes-Benz is launching on the 2014 S-Class.
The system is still in development, according to John Capp, GM's director of electrical controls and active safety technology. Now that that the biggest hurdle, steering control, has been cleared, GM's engineers can focus on things like teaching the system to adapt to differing road conditions and visibility levels. As we reported in 2012, Super Cruise is still befuddled in low-visibility situations or when road markings aren't particularly clear.
Our favorite mid-engine Corvette theories and rumors
Tue, Sep 13 2016The mid-engine Corvette! We just saw blurry photos through the foliage, and are hearts are all aflutter because it means that this car is real. And it's the most " never before" Corvette since 1984. Which leads us to all kinds of wacky theories and speculation. Everybody knows something or heard from a guy. None of those guys (or gals) from GM are talking to Autoblog, to be clear. But that won't stop us from stirring the pot. Let's go over a few point-by-point. The pushrod engine will be replaced by an overhead-cam V8 Car and Driver has repeatedly reported that an overhead-cam engine will come after the mid-engine Corvette's debut with an old-school pushrod. We've heard the same thing firsthand, albeit from a source with no connection to the development of the Corvette or powertrain. "At some point two valves can't pass future emissions regulations," said the guy we know. While the pushrod engine is compact, the design makes it difficult - if not impossible - for sophisticated variable valve timing (and lift) systems that control combustion with more precision. Hasty conclusion: The pushrod engine has a finite life in front of it. This one's a lock, it's a just a matter of when. Bowling Green's new paint shop is really the mid-engine assembly line Credit to Reddit for this one. Like we said, everybody knows a guy. But let's look deeper. The new paint facility costs $439 million dollars and adds 450,000 square feet, almost half the size of the existing plant. Plus GM announced another $290 million in upgrades at Bowling Green Assembly. That sure sounds like a lot of money, but you can actually spend that much on a paint booth. Porsche spent 500 million Euros (about $561 million dollars) to add the Macan assembly to its Leipzig, Germany plant in 2014. Chrysler shelled out $850 million for a paint shop in Sterling Heights, Michigan. GM spent $600 million for a new paint shop at the Fairfax (Kansas City) plant. Honda, on the other hand, is working on a thrifty $210 million project in Marysville, Ohio that includes a 300,000 square foot expansion, and the low-volume Acura NSX facility only cost $70 million. Hasty conclusion: The square footage and cost could easily mean a new assembly line instead of (or in addition to) a paint line. And if the NSX plant was really that cheap, GM could have hidden a similar sum in its existing announcements.
