7 years ago this past April 14th. I looked for months till I found the nicest, perfect 67 Electra coupe I could find. I located this car from a 77yo collector out by Cleveland Ohio. This is the only car I bought that I was blown away because the pictures the elderly guy mailed me, yes postal mailed me pics, where the car was nicer then the pictures showed and I could ever imagine. She was breath taking with only 30,315 pristine miles on the odometer. Today currently 34,000. This is a base coupe with no ac. Only power options are power steering and brakes. In the last 7 years this car has been garaged and never seen rain or even water from more then a few light rinse offs. I mostly just cleaned her off with quick detail because it only ever got dusty. The paint, top, and interior are original and as nice as you will find from this era. I decided to add some personalization with a few things, all of which can be undone. I added the wheels that are less then a year old. I have the original hub caps and double pinstripe pollyglass tires from 1976. I bought custom 2" dropped springs and shocks for the look along to help the handling. It has complete dual exhaust done from the manifolds back done in 08 still like new. All the windows are tinted. Hid headlights. All new stereo and speakers with two sub's perfectly tucked up in the quarter panels. The radio is a retro radio that resembles the original but has modern internals. The speakers are hidden below deck nothing appears un originall but sounds amazing. I have the original protecto plate in the owners manual.  I have tons of pictures of this car with various wheels on it, I love wheels, but the car looks the same condition the day I bought it except it currently has the 20"wheels on it now.  I do have the skirts as well that are like new.  call for more information John 6093643307   Car is located in South Jersey

Buick picks top 11 highlights from first 11 decades

Sun, 21 Apr 2013

Buick has taken the time to highlight some of the company's personal points of pride from the past 110 years. Those include everything from the automaker's very first vehicle, the 1904 Model B, to what Buick claims is the world's first concept car: The 1938 Y Job (above). That one also walked away with the worst name for a design study.
All told, the automaker has sold 43 million vehicles through the end of last year, and those include the lusty 1963 Riviera. That model celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2013, and remains one of the brand's most iconic designs.
Of course, Buick is rightfully proud of its quickest model, too. The 1987 GNX managed a 4.6-second bolt to 60 mph in tests by Car and Driver, and it also took the honor of being one of the automaker's rarest creations at just 547 units. You can check out all 10 in the gallery above.

Buick Riviera Concept debuts in China

Fri, 19 Apr 2013

It's nighttime in China, and Buick has just concluded an evening event the day before the first - and only - press day of the Shanghai Motor Show. The star of this evening's party was the Buick Riviera concept vehicle, a plug-in electric hybrid coupe that the automaker says gives a glimpse at its future design direction, not to mention resurrecting some nomenclature from the brand's history that includes a similarly named concept from 2007.
The shape of the Riviera is said to be inspired by water. While the traditional Buick "waterfall" grille is present, the front end gains a more aggressive note thanks to what appear to be vertical air inlets below each headlight.
As for the concept's drivetrain, Buick says it uses General Motors' new dual-mode wireless plug-in hybrid electric vehicle propulsion system, or W-PHEV for short. The keyword there is 'wireless,' as the Riviera can charge its onboard battery packs with a traditional cable or wirelessly via a "sensory recharge panel" underneath the car.

Hyundai, Buick dealer apologize in wake of Chinese baby social media incident

Sat, 09 Mar 2013

A very strange story out of China today, as Hyundai and a Chinese Buick dealer were forced to face allegations of using allusions to an infamous child murder on a social media site as a way of promoting the safety features of their respective vehicles.
The original sad tale goes something like this: On March 4, a man reported to police that he had left his infant child in a running Toyota RAV4 while he ran into a supermarket briefly. When he came back out, the vehicle and the child were gone. Later in the week a suspect turned himself in to the police; confessing to them that he had stolen a sport-utility vehicle, strangled the infant that was in it, and then buried the child in the snow.
As you might imagine, the gristly incident was covered massively in the Chinese media. (There was huge public outcry as well, as evidenced by the vigil scene, above.) "Changchun baby abduction" was very quickly amongst the highest ranking search teams of the China's Weibo social media site - an equivalent of Twitter in the English-speaking world.
