This car is sharp in black with dark window tint. Gets lots of looks. Engine is solid and reliable, a 307 V-8 with recently serviced automatic trans. Registration has been paid through July of 2015. Power Steering, Power Windows, Air Conditioning (which currently needs work), Tinted Glass, Newer Tires, 12-cd changer in trunk. Odometer says 28,274 but real mileage is probably 128,274. Always starts, idles and runs well. Has new shocks (air shocks in rear), so the ride is Smoooth. The headliner is in perfect condition, no sagging. You can use this car to commute every day or make it a hobby car for weekend jaunts. Either way, you won't be disappointed. This car is available for viewing in Santa Ana, California. I do not ship, but will work with shippers that you contract with directly. Once released to shipper, I cannot be responsible for any damage that may occur. I will accept cash, personal check, money order, cashier's check or wire transfer. Possession and title transfer upon bank confirmation of funds. If you have any concern about this, we can use an escrow service. I am on the up-and-up and expect you to be also. The only reason this car is for sale is that I need the money for uncovered medical bills, otherwise I would not be selling it. Of course, being almost 30 years old, the car does not come with a warranty and is being sold as-is, with no returns. You are more than welcome to test drive it and have it inspected by a mechanic before purchase. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thank you for your interest.

KBB 2013 Brand Image Awards has some obvious and oddball winners
Sat, 30 Mar 2013The sixth edition of the Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards have crowned a wide range of winners - in a couple of cases the recipient of the laurels might say more about KBB users than they do about the actual winner. Compiled from the responses of more than 12,000 shoppers on KBB.com over the past year, there are 13 categories broken into non-luxury, luxury and truck segments "representing the combined wisdom of the American car-buying public."
The award categories have been revamped this year, with some dropping off, some new ones appearing and at least one other given a new term. What isn't surprising is that Honda won Most Trusted Brand for the second year running, Best Value Brand for the third year in a row and took Best Overall Brand, which wasn't on last year's list of awards.
On our own shores, in the non-luxury categories Chrysler got Most Refined Brand and Buick took Best Value Luxury Brand. Neither one of those marques won anything in last year's Brand Image Awards, while Cadillac, which won Best Interior Design Brand and Best Comfort Brand last year - those awards disappeared this year - went home without a single accolade.
Opel Cascada close to getting green light for US
Fri, 13 Sep 2013For a company with a long tradition of grand touring convertibles, it's almost unseemly that General Motors doesn't offer a properly relaxed four-seat convertible in North America. There's the Chevrolet Camaro, of course, but it's not big on rear-seat space and it doesn't offer that sort of serene demeanor that many open-air buyers crave. We're thinking of something more refined and, dare we say, elegant. Something a bit closer to the Opel Cascada.
The General's front-wheel drive convertible went on sale in Europe this year, and while it seemed like a natural fit for its Buick brand in America, it's never been sold here. That may be about to change, however. Back in June, CEO Dan Akerson hinted he'd like to see the Cascada available in the US, and now there's word from Edmunds that importation "could happen soon." That's according to an unnamed insider at the company.

Watch this phantom Buick drive itself down the highway in a snow storm
Mon, 16 Dec 2013Years ago, General Motors used Buick cars to test out the idea of a "smart highway" concept. More recently, GM has been talking up its award-winning Super Cruise semi-autonomous technology that will roll out with Cadillac and make its way to Buick. The LeSabre in the video above has nothing to do with any of that.
On Interstate 15 in Utah, a man driving this LeSabre got into an accident that rearranged the front end and set the horn on permanent blare. At the time of writing this, no one is sure what happened next, but the man ended up sitting in the snow in the highway median while his car carried on down the highway without him. Passing traffic stayed well to the right.
The 51-second video below provides a different take on our autonomous future. A local newscast on KUTV covered the story the evening of the incident, but the Utah Highway Patrol didn't have any update on the fate of the LeSabre. We'll take that to mean that Buick's take on Christine could still be out on the prowl... so watch out!
