2004 - Bmw M3 on 2040-cars
Stoneville, North Carolina, United States
I'm offering for sale my incredibly low mileage, completely unmolested 04 E46 M3 Convertible. Documented actual 15,480 miles. Will have a few more miles, but only if the weather holds. SMG Transmission shifts exactly as it should in all levels of adjustment as well as in Manual mode with the paddles. Xenons, Harman Kardon Sound System, Rear parking Assist. Car was purchased as a collectable and used minimally to maintain the low mileage. Owned by one family. The original owner passed, and left the car to his daughter who continued to store the car and take out on weekends occasionally. There are 2 owners, not the calculated owners Autocheck says based on age and registration. All Virginia Beach, purchased locally, stayed local its whole life. Great Car to continue to store away as a collectible, or enjoy the low mileage original M3 as a daily driver. Ready to go anywhere including back into storage. If you are intending to drive, I can meet at the nearest airport (Norfolk) with the M cleaned, gassed, checked and ready to make the drive home. I can also assist if you're intending to ship by bringing the car to Norfolk area for your shipping company. View pictures closely. Not without minor flaws from the few times she went on the town, but shows and looks beautiful. They are: One rub in the paint on the rear Driver's fender lip. Minor crazing in the passenger side upper portion of the rear bumper. 2 door dings (One on each side, minor, but there). Passenger interior door trim has minor bubbling. All pictured. If you need more pictures, please ask. Have a full Autocheck report available if interested. Scored an 85, with zero issues reported.

BMW expands Takata airbag recall nationwide, 140k 3 Series affected
Tue, Dec 23 2014Following the urging of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, BMW has expanded its recall of vehicles equipped with Takata airbag inflators to cover the entirety of the United States, rather than just high-humidity areas. That means there are about 140,000 owners of 2004 to 2006 model year BMW 3 Series coupes, convertibles, sedans and wagons (that means owners of both E46 and E90 3ers should take note). It's unclear if this recall includes the high-performance M3 Coupe and Convertible. With the expansion of its airbag recall, BMW joins Honda, Mazda, Ford and Fiat Chrysler in moving from a regional to a nationwide recall of vehicles equipped with Takata airbags. According to Reuters, BMW claims none of its vehicles have been subject to the potentially harmful airbag deployments.
BMW i8 headed to Frankfurt
Mon, 05 Aug 2013According to Edmunds, BMW will reveal its production i8 hybrid sports car at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. The i8 is the second vehicle to come from the automaker's new "i" initiative, following the debut of the smaller i3 hatchback last month.
The BMW i8 makes its debut nearly four years after the original Vision EfficientDynamics concept bowed at the Frankfurt expo in 2009. The production car is expected to use a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that drives the rear wheels, coupled to an electric motor that drives the front wheels. Combined output is said to be something like 393 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, based on our earlier reports. The i8 is also expected to be very light, with curb weight coming in somewhere around 3,125 pounds. Finally, the i8 is said to have a pure electric range of 20 miles, and should be able to hit 62 miles per hour in just under five seconds.
Other publications had the chance to ride along in the i8 (in prototype form) and came away impressed. We're hoping we'll feel the same when the car officially goes on sale sometime in early 2014. Stay tuned for more at the i8's official unveiling in just a few weeks.
