I purchased this certified pre-owned BMW X6M at the end of March, 2013. It had just under 15,000 miles at that time, and I've added about 6,000 enjoyable miles myself (it's sitting at just over 21,000 miles). One thing that really attracted me to this vehicle was the peace of mind of the BMW certified pre-owned (CPO) program.
This X6M currently has the balance of the factory warranty until 1-3-2015 (or 50,000 miles).
In addition, BMW's included maintenance is also covered until 1-3-2015.
Once the factory warranty runs out, the CPO warranty kicks in until 1-3-2017 (or 100,000 miles).

A couple of quick notes about the vehicles condition. Overall, this X6M is in terrific shape. The two front wheels have mild road rash. The rear bumper, directly under the lift-gate has a few scratches from loading items into the cargo space. On the passenger door there's a scratch and on the rear hatch there's a scratch. I have tried to capture the afore mentioned issues in the attached pictures. Title is held by Wells Fargo.

Tesla, BMW and Nissan meeting in secret to discuss charging tech
Tue, Jun 17 2014It's interesting what's happening in the electric vehicle field. It used to be that BMW and Tesla were competitors. Then – and of course they're still competing, especially in the public mind – they were working together on ... something. Maybe. And now, the Financial Times reports that the two luxury automakers are meeting with Nissan. Again, maybe. The scuttlebutt is that the three companies are interested in working together on something to do with charging electric vehicles, potentially a global recharging standard. Currently, when it comes to fast charging, BMW uses the SAE Combo standard, Nissan uses CHAdeMO and Tesla uses its own Superchargers. The meeting was prompted by Tesla opening of all of its patents the other day, FT says. Speaking during the recent annual shareholder meeting, Musk said he was "more than happy to have other manufacturers" use Tesla's Superchargers but that, "there is no other electric car that can accept anything close to 135 kilowatts." Let's assume the technical hurdle can be overcome. With any potential patent/licensing problems out of the way, these discussions with BMW and Nissan might be revolving around this other angle that Musk mentioned: "They (other automakers) just have to contribute to the capital cost, so figure out what percentage of the time are their cars using the Supercharger network and then they can make a contribution proportionate to their customer usage of the Supercharger network." That certainly sounds like something that could take some time to figure out. Next BMW X6 to be larger, more aggressive
Tue, 16 Apr 2013If the current BMW X6, introduced in 2008, is looking a bit too bland for your tastes, have no fear as the next-generation model is reportedly going to be larger and more aggressive than its predecessor.
Autocar is reporting that an insider has revealed the all-new second-generation X6 will make its world debut at the 2014 Moscow Motor Show, going on sale just after summer. More aggressive styling will help BMW distinguish its sportier X6 from BMW's more practical models, such as the X3 and X5, said the source.
The next X6 will again share platforms with the X5, but it will be stretched slightly to provide second-row passengers with more legroom. Powerplants will also likely mirror those of its mainstream cousin, including a range of turbocharged six- and eight-cylinder engines and a range-topping M model (the 2013 BMW X6 M is show above).
