Re-listing due to non payment or communication from buyer. No Reserve high bidder will take this car home. You are bidding on a beautiful 2004 BMW M3 Convertible with cold weather package with the 19" rims.. Car is bone stock. Has had all major service done recently with receipts included. This car was brought to Michigan from down south, sunny Atlanta Georgia. That means no salt or pot holes. 90 Autocheck which is above average. It shows me as the 3rd owner. This machine drives strong and like a beast. 4 wheel alignment was done about two months ago so it drives straight as an arrow. Newer tires on the rear with about 5k miles on them. Front tires will need to be replaced soon they are at about 20-30%. Has the stock BMW radio with Harmon Kardon speakers. Speakers sound great however the tweeters on the front doors will need to be replaced. I try to be as honest when listing my vehicles on E-Bay so please if there are any questions feel free to contact me before hand. I am willing to do face time or Skype with potential buyers so they can do a walk around. I encourage all potential buyers to come see the vehicle in person. This car is a beauty and must be seen in person to be fully appreciated. Rims have some curb rashes and scratches and could use a reconditioning but in no way affect the drive or performance of this car. Shipping is buyers responsibility. Car has no rattles, squeaks, leaks noises or any issues or indications of issues what so ever. This car has none of those "vanos" or sagging tail end issues. Runs and drives tight as you would expect from a M3. Where ever there was a concern I had it addressed asap. Being a used car I am still selling the car as is with no gaurantees, however with all the service done to it I would consider this to be as clean as they get. Power top works flawlessly. No issues opens and closes with the touch of a button every time. No rips or disfiguration on the soft top either. This car has normal blemishes that you would expect from a car its age, but is in a lot better condition than most. Some of the recent service done include but is not limited to: new gaskets new brakes/rotors/sensors new steering lines synthetic oil change new spark plugs new air filter/cabin filter/fuel filter manual transmission fluid flush (MTF 2) differential fluid flush (redline 75W-140) brake system flush (ATE type 200) power steering fluid (Redline synthetic) valve cover gasket/ gronments/ bushings lower subframe reinforcement plate. 4 wheel alignment All of this service was performed on March 25th 2014 in Atlanta Ga before I picked up the car. I had the car dropped off to a bmw indy shop and told them do whatever they felt the car needed to make it in prime shape. For those collectors, this is it. For any M3 Enthusiast, it doesn't get much better than this. Have the piece of mind of owning a premium car with ALL maintenance up to date. Clutch shifts strong and has no problems. This is one exhilarating car to drive, that begs for more every time. Imperfections: small dent on passenger side door (see pics) front tweeters on the door will need to be replaced soon passenger arm rest is wore out (see pics) rims have curb rash (see pics) some curb rash on the bottom of front bumpers (see pics) Options: Bi Xenon headlights Car has the cold weather package and the seat warmers work great!! 2016 BMW 7 Series First Drive [w/video]
Fri, Aug 28 2015Flagships demonstrate strength. "This is what we can do," these cars say with emphasis. Since 1977, the 7 Series has been a rolling showcase of BMW's capability. Sure, BMW makes racecars, but the mighty 7 is a proud reminder that the Roundel also stands for luxury. Except the 7 Series has been eclipsed by the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, a technological tour de force that Mercedes haughtily calls the industry's flagship. BMW makes a pretty nice car, but no one would dare call it that. Bimmer should probably just lower the flag, right? Not yet. Most of history's famous flagships have been fighting machines. They exude confidence, but also pack a punch. And with the 2016 7 Series, BMW is unleashing a broadside on Mercedes and the rest of the industry. Rather than raw power, the sixth generation of the iconic 7 Series is loaded with sophisticated technology that makes the new sedan more luxurious and comfortable. While it looks familiar from the outside, most of the improvements are in the cabin or under the skin. Things like the carbon fiber used for the passenger cell that help the 7 Series shed 190 pounds compared to its predecessor. Or the touchless gesture control that allows you to accept or decline phone calls with simple hand motions. Even the infotainment system is better, with a pinch-to-zoom feature that makes iDrive less confusing and more like the user-friendly iPad. BMW is unleashing a broadside on Mercedes and the rest of the industry. It's a lot of high tech stuff, but the driving experience is still the top priority for BMW. To test its mettle, we traveled to the Monticello Motor Club in rural New York. After several hot laps on the road course (more on that later) we slip behind the wheel of an Arctic Gray Metallic 750i xDrive for some public road driving. The big sedan immediately masks its size on the twisting rural state routes. With 445 twin-turbo V8 horsepower urging us forward, we barrel ahead as the countryside blurs by. Once we settle into a relaxed, legal pace and get our bearings inside the car, we check out some of the new tech. The gesture control is easy to activate while driving, and with a twirl of a finger we turn up the silky-sounding Bowers & Wilkins system. Gestures actually work as advertised. No one calls us, but during an earlier demonstration we were able to decline a call with a dismissive backhand. It felt good.
BMW 1 Series with B38 three-cylinder engine
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Downsizing For BMW's Front-Wheel-Drive And i Futures
Output is quoted at 175 horsepower and BMW says it will hit 62 mph in 7.0 seconds.
The red five-door BMW 1 Series seen in this photo gallery has little to do with what is actually of importance here. What we've just tested at an airfield not far from Munich, Germany, is a new 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo inline three-cylinder gas engine that we'll be hearing an awful lot about in the coming few years.
Why are all US-bound BMW i3 EVs with range extenders stuck at port?
Tue, May 20 2014The first BMW i3 EVs have been delivered in the US, but in a quirk of the rules, none of them have been the range-extended versions. Long-time BMW electric vehicle driver Tom Moloughney discovered this fact the hard way. His i3 REx has been sitting at a New Jersey port for over a week and he's getting impatient. The problem is something Moloughney calls a "Monroney Hold." So, instead of sitting there fuming, Moloughney did a bit of research and discovered that the problem is something he calls a "Monroney Hold." He says that "the EPA certification has not been completed so BMW doesn't have a Monroney label (window sticker) to post in the window before the car leaves the port, which is required by law. The range extender option changes (shortens) the car's electric range, and also requires an official MPG rating so BMW couldn't use the same Monroney label as they did for the all electric i3." You can read more on his website, but it turns out that the story isn't so simple. For one thing, the EPA testing has been finished. Washington State representative Chad Magendaz told Moloughney that he asked the EPA for an official statement and got the following from Linc Wehrly, Director of the Light-Duty Vehicle Center Compliance Division: "EPA tested the i3 REx and provided the results of that testing to BMW on May 13th. EPA is not aware of anything that would prevent BMW from importing the vehicles since May 13th." Then there's the official word from BMW. Spokesman Dave Buchko told AutoblogGreen that: We are moving as quickly as possible to release the first BMW i3 Range-Extender models to BMW i Centers. Receipt of test data from the EPA is one step, but not the final step, in the process of receiving certification from the EPA. Rules do not permit the release of vehicles for sale until EPA labels are finalized, produced and affixed to any vehicle. Barring any unforeseen delays, we expect that to happen by the end of this week. We have never certified a vehicle like this before. We are taking every precaution to make sure that everything is done in a timely, but more importantly correct manner. In that Monroney labels cannot be produced until the EPA certification process is complete, the characterization [of a "Monroney Hold"] is not technically incorrect, but there is more to it than that, as is often true in life. On a lighter note, BMW donated a loaded i3 to Brad Pitt's Make It Right charity foundation as a fundraiser. Read about that below.
