You are looking at a 1975 BMW 2002. This iconic model has become one of the fastest appreciating collector cars on the market today. This particular car has underwent an extensive restoration. Starting out with a rust free body that has been tastefully modified. This vehicle also has a very strong ownership and maintenance history; I have owned this BMW 25 years and have equal amount of maintenance paperwork and receipts covering the build of this 2002. I've outlined the particulars below, but as always give me a call for any questions. Exterior: *Solid -vehicle was an original California car. *Recently refinished in snap orange, vehicle was completely disassembled to a shell prior to paint. Base coat/clear coat finish. * OEM BMW parts were used for restoration * 2002 rides on correct 15x 6.5/7 BBS RM Classic wheels with silver centers by Ardvarc racing and Bridgestone Potenza Re-11 195/50/15 tires* Interior:* nicely detailed engine compartment, trunk area completely finished, along with trunk mounted Optimum battery and shock tower brace by T.E.P. * All new rubber door, trunk and window weather stripping.* New OEM front and rear glass. * New custom Italian Auto part seats interior. * Finished in black vinyl with corduroy inserts on seats, New NOS door panels, sun visors all from Maximillian. * Custom console with VDO gauges and nicely installed Alpine CD player with front and rear mounted speakers. * New headliner done in original factory white vinyl fabric* New Momo prototipo silver -leather wrapped steering wheel * * Rear seat delete- have rear seat if need be. carpet is good -but not perfect. Mechanical: * Correct drivetrain, * Complete motor rebuild -Bought a factory BMW rebuilt .*NLA New Factory tii close ratio steering box. * New 228mm clutch, pilot bearing, slave cylinder * Dual S&K 40 MM side drafts- Weber style carbs* New starter, new heater motor, new up -graded radiator * Complete brake rebuild -front cross drilled rotors with fresh calipers and Stainless Steel brake lines * New Bilstein HD shocks with H&R lowering springs at all 4 corners.*New factory drive shaft with new flex disc. .*New factory BMW rebuilt 4 speed Tranny * New tii exhaust manifold and new Italian Monza exhaust with center rear exit. * New Hella Supertone horns-not hook up yet. * Actual miles are guessed to be just at 64000, however it has New NOS instrument cluster showing 2200 miles since restoration. Which was started in 2003 and completed in 2009. Everything works on this vehicle as it should. This car handles like a slot car on rails and has the true feel of a German sports car. 1959 Ferrari 250 GT California sells for nearly $18M, exceeding expectations

RM Sotheby's just wrapped up its auction in New York, where it sold off a pair of gorgeous silver roadsters, with one of them selling for the incredible price of $17.99 million. That car was a 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California that we covered previously, and Sotheby's was only expecting it to go for between $14 million and $17 million. Apparently someone felt the car's rare aluminum construction and racing history was worth the extra cash. View 11 Photos The other roadster went for considerably less money but was notable because of its previous owner, late Apple CEO Steve Jobs. The car is a 2000 BMW Z8 that the tech mogul had for around three years. The final sale price only met expectations, though, at $329,500. The original auction estimate was between $300,000 and $400,000. Let's say you just got a big promotion at work or the kids are moving out of the house, and you finally have some extra money. You decide to blow it all at once and treat yourself by upgrading your ride. Naturally, you look to a luxury automaker. What do you choose?
Models like the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class may be tailor-made to introduce buyers to the premium segment, but a new study finds that they don't garner the highest rates of non-luxury customer conquests. It turns out that a Volvo leads among folks moving up to a premium brand, and it isn't even one that's made anymore, at that.
A recent study by Polk and IHS Automotive looked at what models had the highest rates of buyers upgrading from a non-luxury segment. The information comes from its new vehicle registration data through April 2014. All ten top models boasted conquest rates of over 50 percent, but the Volvo C70 led the field with 68.01 percent of its customers coming from non-premium brands.

You know who you are. There's probably a few of you reading; the ones that say, "Why would I spend $27,000 on a new Mazda MX-5 when I could get a used Chevrolet Corvette with more power." Yes, we're talking to you, used car proponents. While it is a fair argument, it's not like used cars don't come with drawbacks of their own, though.
In an attempt to put this new-versus-used argument to bed once and for all, Matt Farah of the The Smoking Tire has picked up a pair of $25,000 cars - a used, but lightly modified, 2003 BMW M3 and a 2013 Ford Fiesta ST. Naturally, there's a comparison.
Farah, as he's wont to do, does get into the nitty gritty of what each car is like to drive, and discusses the merits of used and new-car shopping. But as he rightly points out while testing the M3, "So, it is a good car. But like any used car, it really does depend on the individual car."
