I looked for an immaculate low mileage white S4 for about 7 months before I found this car. This is a very rare color combo with these options. I purchased it last October. The car is in great condition. The car was purchased from an Audi dealer as a certified pre owned vehicle which means it was heavily inspected prior to sale. The car has the factory warranty until November 2014, then has another factory warranty until November 2016 or 100kmi (whichever comes first). The 25kmi maintenance was already completed at the dealer. The car smells new inside and needs absolutely nothing but a driver. The car is very fast, was never tracked, raced or abused. The only reason I am selling is my company purchased me a new BMW in December and I have no need for two cars. Car has always been garaged. I have all paperwork with the vehicle, books, two key fobs. The only marks I know of are a small bump in the rear bumper (i posted a picture of it in the photo section) and a couple small marks on the front bumper and a small nick on one of the wheels. I am very OCD about my vehicles and only buy cars in excellent condition. Tires are very good and have another 25,000 - 30,000 miles in them.  Car has never been in any accident, or hit or had any paint work done to it. Drives perfectly straight.

If you have any other questions or want to look at the vehicle feel free to call me. Please do not call me to lowball me, I will not respond. I know what these cars are selling for especially with the CPO warranty in this condition with all the options. I have priced it competitively. My number is 518.466. SEVEN NINE TWO SIX.

(Dealers or brokers please do not call me).

Audi pushing DOT to allow its sequential LED turn signals [w/videos]

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

Still in the process of trying to get its trick LED Matrix Beam headlights legalized in the US, Audi is now trying to get its front and rear sequential LED turn signals approved by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Just like its auto-dimming headlights, the sequentially illuminating turn signals don't meet NHTSA's Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108.
The problem, according to Automotive News, is that the individual lighting elements are too small to meet current US safety regulations. The rule states that each lamp should be 22 square centimeters (8.6 square inches) and the whole lighted combined area must be 50 square centimeters (19.6 square inches). In the individual sequence, Audi's lights are much smaller than that. As for the Ford Mustang, which has had sequential turn signals since 2010, this system is legal since the first lens is large enough to meet the required size, so the other two lights really aren't even necessary.
It sounds like it could be some time before we see these turn signals on Audis in the US, which is a shame because in addition to their styling bebefuts, we think they're more effective at signaling the vehicle's intended direction of travel, and they do a better job of grabbing the eye. Scroll down to watch a pair of videos showing the headlights in action on the redesigned A8/S8 as well as the recently updated R8.

Audi debuts all-new R18 E-Tron Quattro with novel secondary hybrid system

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

This is the new Audi R18. It looks like the Bond villain of race cars (it has red running lamps), and if Audi's past is any indication, it'll prove difficult to beat in the LMP1 class of the 2014 World Endurance Championship.
The car's full name is the Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro, just like last year's car. Also like last year's car, the new R18 draws its power from a V6 turbodiesel, which powers its rear wheels, and Audi's E-Tron hybrid system, which runs its front axle. Unlike last year's car, though, this R18 has a secondary hybrid system. Audi has fitted the V6 with an electric turbocharger and figured out how to capture waste heat generated when the engine reaches its boost limit. That power can then be stored and fed back into either the turbo or the front axle's hybrid system under acceleration.
There are a number of changes to the body on the new car, forced in large part by series regulation changes. The car is narrower, particularly at the front, but it's also taller. The front end is set off by a new wing, as part of a new WEC regulation. Audi seems quite pleased about this, citing an improvement in front-end downforce and a reduction in cost. Like Formula One, the WEC contenders now have to contend with a ban on the so-called blown diffuser, which forced exhaust gases over the diffuser, creating downforce. That's necessitated some changes from Audi, although as we have no rear shots of the car, we can't tell you what it looks like.

Mercedes could make EV batteries with Audi, BMW

Mon, Sep 21 2015

It's not a big leap from digital maps to batteries, it turns out.The head of Mercedes-Benz parent Daimler said recently that he envisions his company working together with German automotive competitors BMW and Volkswagen to further accelerate electric-vehicle battery technology. The three automakers recently worked together to enhance their in-car maps systems. Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche talked about "commonalities" between automakers, not the least of which is the need for all of them to achieve increasingly stringent fuel-economy requirements in the European Union, at the Frankfurt Auto Show last week, according to Reuters. While these companies have made their own inroads as far as plug-in vehicles go, they are all behind the Renault-Nissan Alliance when it comes to public deployment of electric vehicles. This summer, Daimler, Audi and BMW hooked up to acquire the Nokia Here digital-mapping service for about $2.8 billion. The triad of automakers beat out companies such as Apple and Uber to buy the entity, which was founded in 1986 as Navteq. Nokia bought the company in 2007. The acquisition makes sense as the automakers work on improving their products with features like cloud-based data to warn drivers of icy roads and traffic jams. The technology will likely also eventually be used in autonomous vehicles. Automakers working together for a common goal of improved technology is nothing new, of course. General Motors and Honda agreed in 2013 to work together to accelerate hydrogen fuel-cell drivetrain development. Earlier that same year, Daimler said it would work with Ford and Nissan in a separate collaboration to speed up the development of hydrogen fuel-cell technology. Related Video:
