This R8 5.2 is finished in the classical Audi “R” color of Daytona Grey Pearl which is beautifully accented by the various optional Carbon Fiber exterior and visible engine components, Titanium finished wheels, and tinted windows for a gorgeous combination. The Pearl Effect paint has a very subtle pearlescent character that really adds to this cars spectacular looks.

Inside, the black hides are similarly accented with carbon fiber inlays and aluminum look details providing a great combination that must be seen in person to be fully appreciated. People everywhere just cannot help but to comment on just how beautiful this car is!

With an MSRP of $161,475 the car is loaded with a highly desirable list of features and options (see photo of Window Sticker).

History:

Sold new at Audi of Beverly Hills in June of 2012, the car has had just one mature, local owner and has never been out of the southern California area.

All services have been performed by Audi of Beverly Hills and are current.

The car remains under the 4 year/50,000 mile factory warranty until June 2016 and includes roadside assistance through the term. The car has performed flawlessly and there has yet to be any warranty actions of any kind.

There have never been any collisions or paint work on the car whatsoever. It is CARFAX Certified (Also See the Experian AutoCheck Report provided below).

Condition:

With mature ownership from new, this non-smoking car has not been treated to kids or dogs. Having been garage kept from new it is in beyond-spectacular condition throughout. It can easily be described to be in "very fresh" condition as the pictures will attest.

It has been in the hands of a concierge detailer, and it shows! The paint, the leather, the carpets, carbon fiber, aluminized and piano black surfaces are all pristine.

You will not find the all too typical beat up trim at the entry or high use driver points. Careful local use and judicious parking mean that there are no door dings or road rash or rock chips in the paint.

There are no flaws in the glass, and all four wheels are un-curbed and as new with deep tire tread all around.

Included are all of the books, tools, keys (4), Nav CD, cargo net, window sticker and other literature and accessories as were originally delivered.

This is a great example of a fantastic civil, yet exotic car in one of the most sought after color combinations that you will find.

The relatively rare 6-speed manual transmission is an absolute joy to drive in everyday use and ensures the great ‘man-machine’ connection that makes driving such a pleasure.

I have clear title in hand and it is registered in California through June 2014.

Volkswagen breaks 40-year-old sales record in 2012

The last time Volkswagen moved this many vehicles in America in one year, Richard Nixon was still a President in good standing, Let It Be was a radio hit and each car wearing the VW badge boasted an air-cooled engine. That's right, with a grand total of 580,286 vehicles sold in the US last year, the VW Group has broken its own four-decades-old sales record by 2,899 vehicles.
Of that 580k total sold, 438k were Volkswagens and 139k were Audi products - increases of 35.1 percent and 18.5 percent, respectively, in year-over-year sales. The ultra-premium members of the VW group also fared well; Bentley delivered 2,315 vehicles for a 23.3-precent increase, and Lamborghini delivered 520 units for a 52.9-percent jump. Bugatti, we're told is "right on track."
Jetta (pictured) sales paced the marque with 170k models sold, and Passat also finished very strong with sales of 117k total. Tiguan also racked up its best year on file, with 31,731 models shifted.

2017 Audi R8 Spyder spotted completely uncamouflaged

We've seen the 2017 Audi R8 Spyder running the 'Ring a while back, and we've also seen a leaked planning document that seems to confirm the R8 Spyder is actually coming (as if seeing a prototype wasn't enough). Here's further unofficial confirmation: a completely uncovered, arrestingly yellow example of the breed. Unless it's been the subject of a clever badge-swap, this is a V10 model (as are all R8s at the moment), although rumors, leaked product roadmaps, and common sense point to a downsized engine offering in the near future. We think it'll be a V6, based on the fact that the R8 technical lead Roland Schala stated that a "V6 is a perfect engine for this car." Don't expect any drastic mechanical differences from the coupe, itself a close cousin of the Lamborghini Huracan. We thought the coupe was "murderously fast and sexy," while still being a tasteful, total driver's package; the Spyder should bring all that and some open air to the table. We should see the R8 Spyder's official reveal in a few months. Related Video:

Chevy Corvette Z06, Ford F-150 Raptor join Lego Speed Champs

Get ready to park some performance machines on your desk: Lego's 2016 line of Speed Champions kits will add seven new vehicles for next year, according to an update to the database Brickset. These include some serious muscle like a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and Ford Mustang GT. There's also a listing called "Chevrolet Camaro Drag Race" and a very cool combo titled "Ford F-150 Raptor Ford/Model A Hot Rod". Fans of European performance don't need to be jealous, though. The database shows a kit called "Porsche 919 Hybrid and 917K Pit-Lane." Plus for fans of the Four Rings, the Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro and R8 LMS Ultra are also getting their own Lego models. Fourtitude appears to have some leaked shots, if you want to see what these kits will look like. Lego has partnered with Porsche, McLaren, and Ferrari and offers Speed Champions kits for vehicles like the Porsche 918 Spyder, McLaren P1, Ferrari 458 Italia GT2, and LaFerrari. The models in the series aren't as heavily detailed as the massive Mini Cooper or Volkswagen Bus sets, but they make up for that in value. The individual cars retail for a fairly affordable $14.99. The Formula One playset tops the current range at $99.99, but it comes with a truck, racecar and team figures.
