2010 Audi S4 in absolutely MINT condition.

This car is for sale by owner, my father. It has only had one owner. My dad is only selling this car because he is getting the RS5! I'll get to more about the ownership of the car after the details below.

Features this car has:
- Color: Ibis White with Black Alcantara Leather Seats
- Navigation System (Package $2,500 add on)
- Rear Back-Up Camera / Sensors
- Sirius Radio, Voice Control
- Bang & Olufsen Premium Audio System ($850 add on)
- Carbon atlas interior inlays ($500 add on)

The total price paid for the vehicle was $51,975. I have all of the original window stickers and information on the car.
Clear title in hand. The mileage might be a bit more than listed if he's taken it to the car wash again.

My dad is absolutely OBSESSED with his cars. He is now retired, so they are one of his main hobbies. They barely see the rain, are taken on frequent (often weekly) trips to the car wash (whether they need it or not....which they pretty much always do not, really). He recently decided to upgrade to the new Audi RS5. I was quite surprised that he decided to sell this car! Also, I wish he was selling it to me. Of all of the cars he's had, ranging from BMWs to Porsches, this has been by far my favorite to drive (on the rare occasion that he has let me). It has a low to the ground, solid feeling, and takes curves with an incredibly smooth ease; excellent acceleration, incredibly comfortable interior.
This car legitimately looks like it belong in a showroom/just left the dealership. There is one TINY chip in the paint on the passenger side front of the hood (its pictured, but actually hard to even see) and a very slight indent in the driver's side door, which you can really only see from an awkward angle, like on the ground next to the door. I don't really even think most people would mention either of these, but since they're the ONLY "wear" the car has, I figured I may as well mention them.

Below this is a link to larger versions of the photos above and more on Flickr (73 photos total, I might have taken them all over town as an excuse to go for a drive)

This car is for sale about 45 minutes outside of Philadelphia, PA, in Southern New Jersey. You can feel free to contact me to set up a time to come see it or to test drive it. I do also reserve the right to sell it locally/on other sites. The blue book value for even "good" condition is above the list price, it is priced to sell since the RS5 is on it's way!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Chief designer Walter de Silva out at Volkswagen

Fri, Nov 6 2015

After decades of penning beautiful machines, Volkswagen Group design boss Walter de Silva will retire at the end of November but will still hold an advisory role. He has led the styling for the automotive giant's brands since 2007. The company's statement didn't announce a successor for him. De Silva began his design career at Fiat in 1972 and led styling at Alfa Romeo from 1986 to 1998. He first joined VW Group with Seat but made a big splash at Audi in 2002. His work there included the sixth-generation A6, A5, and the fantastic R8. Later, he created a great take on the classic Leica M9 camera, too. VW praised de Silva's creation of a design culture that spanned its division but still allowed for creativity within each one. "Walter de Silva epitomizes creativity and the Italian sense of beauty and style on the one hand and thoroughness, a systematic approach and discipline on the other," CEO Matthias Muller said in the announcement. De Silva's retirement could bring a major change in the way VW Group organizes its studios, according to Automotive News. The automaker reportedly wants to cut its annual styling budget and might not seek a replacement for him. Walter Maria de Silva takes retirement Head of Group Design established common design culture across all brands while retaining creative autonomy of each individual brand Walter Maria de Silva Walter Maria de Silva Walter Maria de Silva (64), Head of Group Design, is retiring with effect from the end of November. De Silva assumed design responsibility for all passenger car brands within the Volkswagen Group in February 2007. Walter de Silva will continue his links with the Group in an advisory capacity. Walter Maria de Silva was born in Lecco (Italy) on February 27, 1951 and joined the Volkswagen Group 17 years ago when he became Head of the SEAT Design Centre in 1998. He was put in charge of the design of the Audi brand group, including the brands Audi, Lamborghini and SEAT, in 2002. His new design language with Audi was epitomised by the 6th generation of the Audi A6 and Audi A5 Coupe. He was appointed Head of Group Design at Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft in 2007. Walter de Silva saw the main focus of his work as design chief in establishing and nurturing a common design culture across all brands, which nevertheless allows each brand to retain a high degree of creative autonomy.

Audi reveals new TT spec racer

Mon, 20 Oct 2014

We've seen the coupe. We've seen the convertible. We're still waiting on word of the next variant, but before it arrives, Audi has revealed the racing version of the new TT.
Set to form the backbone of the inaugural Audi Sport TT Cup, the competition-spec sports coupe is closely based on the production version packs the same 2.0-liter turbo four and six-speed dual-clutch transmission as the road-going TTS, delivering the same 310 horsepower, but with a push-to-pass boost of an extra 30 hp.
It's also got an active differential, and while the full specifications have not yet been revealed, it's clear that Audi has also outfitted the TT racer with more aggressive aero, track-spec rolling stock and a stripped-out cockpit (complete with the Audi PS1 Safety Seat from the R8 LMS Ultra) to get weight down to from 2,700 pounds in stock production form to 2,480.

24 Hours of Le Mans an on-and-off love affair

Mon, 24 Jun 2013

There was little usual about this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans - intermittent rain in the weeks before the race meant cars didn't get on track as much as they wanted, and intermittent rain during the race meant cars went off track a lot more than they wanted. The race started with a wet track, and one of the records broken because of the random downpours was the number of times the safety car led the field - 11 times this year - although the record of two hours and 53 minutes of lapping behind the safety car, set in 2011, was not eclipsed.
None of that served to dampen the action. With little more than an hour left in the race there were cars still only a few seconds apart fighting for position, leads still changing because of pit stops and everyone drafting anyone they could.
Things didn't go the usual way up front, either - well, not exactly...
