-Stunning Arctic White with Ebony Silk Napa Leather -One of the last years for the highly sought after 4.2L V8 engine -6 Speed Manual Transmission -Recaro Seats -Only 94K miles I am pleased to offer my 2005 Audi S4 Quattro here on eBay. In my opinion, the B6 S4 (2003-2005) is the best generation S4 due to the 4.2L V8 engine and the beautiful timeless styling. I personally think this body style is more attractive than the current S4 on the market. This is a true driver's car for several reasons. The 4.2L V8 engine produces 339 horsepower, creating an incredible deep exhaust note and plenty of power. Being a true enthusiaist's car, the engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and power is planted to the road through the Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system. Setting the S4 apart from the standard A4 model are the discrete lower door trims, aluminum exterior door mirrors, and S4 badging front and rear. In the interior, front and rear Recaro Seats, fronts fully electric, as well as S4 logos in the instrument panel and door sills complete the detail. This car is completely stock and unmolested, with no aftermarket add-ons, with the exception of the tinted windows, which is extremely common here in Texas. The interior of this car is in very, very good condition. The Ebony Silk Napa Leather seats show only minimal wear as seen in the pictures. The wood inserts on the dash, center console, and doors all shine like new with no cracks. This car has the in-dash 6-disc CD changer with the Bose audio system which sounds excellent. It also has the factory DVD-based navigation system and a power moonroof. This car has obviously been a non-smoker's car for its entire life, as it still retains that rich leather smell. The only issues on the interior are that one of the hinges on the glovebox has cracked, a very common issue with all Audis of this era, and the center console lid doesn't latch properly, however it still functions fine. The exterior of this S4 is in remarkably good condition for the year and miles, and the Arctic White color is quite striking in person. There are a few minor blemishes on the exterior, but nothing major that detracts from the beauty of the car, I've done my best to show them in the photos. One of my favorite parts of the exterior are the 'Avus-III' 18" die-cast aluminium alloy wheels. I've always loved the design of these wheels, all the way back to the B5 S4s. The tires are all matching Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires. I'm a motoring enthusiast and have always done the routine maintenance on this car on my own. Since I've owned it, it has always had Mobil 1 0W-40 fully synthetic oil with a Mann Oil Filter. It appears to have no leaks, as it has been parked in my garage for the past two weeks and the floor is completely dry. Other recent services include new rear brake rotors and pads and a new power steering rack and power steering pump. The car comes with one key, all factory manuals, and the service records since I've owned it. If you're a Texas buyer, the car has a new state inspection sticker good through 8/14. I really love this car and am sad to sell it, but a recent change in my life has left me with two Audis, and I must part with this one since I'm still financing the other. Please feel free to contact me if you'd like to come see and drive the vehicle before bidding. I'm not sure why the AutoCheck shows this car was repossessed 5 times since I've owned it, that is obviously an error on their part. I purchased the car in August of 2011 and paid off the loan entirely within a year. I have the clear title in hand with the lien from the bank released. The car was never repossessed from me. |

Audi + Airbnb: What it's like to live in a car commercial
Fri, Nov 11 2016Miles from civilization, in a lonely stretch of Death Valley, lies an unlikely sight: a sleek contemporary home – all glass, concrete, and metal – and a pair of equally modern 2017 Audi R8 V10 Plus coupes. You might have seen the combo in a TV commercial that ran during the Emmys, a spot that had us asking an obvious question: What are these objects doing together, smack in the middle of nowhere? Audi partnered with Airbnb to offer the home and the cars to seven guests. Somehow, we became lucky number eight. The spot, entitled "Desolation," promotes the carmaker's flagship alongside what ended up being an extreme rental property. The idea to build the three-bedroom, 1,200-square-foot house came from Italian writer and author Fabrizio Rondolino, who was long smitten with American desert. The home was built in 2010 using prefabricated construction by San Francisco-based architecture firm nottoscale. It's a spare elevated structure, with floor-to-ceiling windows cinematically framing the sky. To set the four-wheeled mood, images of the R8 sit where family photos would go, and a laser-cut aluminum sign over the entrance announces it as the "Home of the R8." In acknowledgement of the remoteness, a satellite phone sits charged up with clearly printed dialing instructions. An Easter egg from the ad – two jars of Leadfoot Coffee – hides in plain sight on the kitchen counter. You can rent houses like this elsewhere on Airbnb, but here's where gearheads start paying attention: The two Audi supercars counter the architectural tranquility with a combined 1,220 horsepower and an opportunity to rip through the desert at obscene speeds (not to mention several other extras you don't get with a standard vacation rental; more on that later). Seven three-day/two-night stays were offered through an extremely limited Airbnb listing. The buzz surrounding the campaign was so strong that the place booked up in less than six seconds. For what you get, this was a steal. The per-night price of $610 – a reference to the V10's horsepower figure – wouldn't begin to cover the behind-the-scenes logistics needed to coordinate and execute this marketing exercise. I was the sole member of the media invited to experience the Audi Airbnb and got to spend a weekend in this desert playground to see what it was all about. My weekend began when an Audi rep met me and my family at Las Vegas International Airport following a quick flight from Burbank, California.
Audi rumored to buy Alfa Romeo, officials deny it
Thu, 28 Mar 2013For more than two years, Volkswagen has been making public statements about its willingness to buy Alfa Romeo and quadruple the Italian brand's sales, and for just as long, Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne has replied with some version of "Mr. Piëch, drop it." According to a report in Ward's Auto, all that jousting might be over: it claims that sources close to both Marchionne and Audi CEO Rupert Stadler admit that the two are in talks for Audi to buy not just Alfa Romeo, but a production plant in Italy. In fact, a final deal could possibly include partsmaker Magnetti Marelli.
Against that backdrop, a report by German news weekly Stern quotes a Fiat spokesmen as saying it doesn't comment on rumors and an Audi rep has said flatly that "There is no substance in the news." If a sale is being arranged, the timing would seem to point to how eager Fiat is to raise cash to complete its major initiatives. Even though Alfa Romeo continues to delay its return to the US, it just showed off the production version of the 4C at the Geneva Motor Show (shown above) and said that preferred Fiat dealerships here would get them. Then there's Alfa's recently concluded deal with Mazda to develop a roadster based on the next generation MX-5 Miata - a deal that would seem to help both the Italian and Japanese brands.
The monetary issues are troublesome, though. Fiat is taking a beating in the European market and its weak-kneed balance sheet is delaying gotta-have-it products like the Jeep Cherokee. Fiat has been talking to banks about getting money to buy the rest of Chrysler and those financial institutions have also raised issues about debt and cash reserves, and the nasty game of chess Fiat is playing with the United Auto Workers (and now the court system about the portion of Chrysler it doesn't own) could end up blowing another hole in Marchionne's plans. It is possible that this could finally have convinced Fiat to at least see how serious Audi's parent company, Volkswagen, is about buying Alfa Romeo. Or it could be just another rumor.
Audi A6 gets styling, powertrain tweaks
Thu, 04 Sep 2014The Audi A6 is already a fairly handsome, German luxury sedan, but the whole range is receiving some styling updates in Europe this fall. Audi's US arm would not directly confirm which of these updates will be coming to America, instead just telling us that an updated A6 will be coming next year.
On the outside, the tweaks are fairly minor. The company's single-frame grille, which shows up throughout the model lineup, gets some very subtle styling changes, and the lower bumper and its air intakes are also reshaped. More obviously, the headlights have a new form with the LED running lights cutting through them in roughly the shape of a T, as opposed to outlining them, as before. A similar shape is also used for the updated taillights, and there are now rectangular exhaust outlets around back, as well. In profile, the side sills also get a harder crease toward the rear of the sedan.
Inside, things are kept generally the same, as well. There's a new Flint Gray interior color for the A6 and Salsa Red for the S6. But the biggest change is a power-retracting eight-inch infotainment system using the Nvidia Tegra 30 graphics chip. The optional night vision assist system is also improved with new functions, according to Audi.
