Selling my 2008 Acura TL Type-S 6MT. Last summer I flew to Atlanta to buy this TL from another automotive enthusiast and Acurazine forum member. If you're reading this you probably know how hard 6MT TLS' are to find. This one was super clean and had never seen winter. It's only seen one winter (barely since I don't go anywhere when it snows), always garage kept both at home and work. I realized very quickly after purchasing it that I'm just a BMW guy. I had another TLS previously that I loved, but once I owned an M3, I couldn't drive anything else. This TL is fantastic. Light mods, but choice. Especially the J-Pipe. . .I'm not sure what brand it is, but the exhaust note is incredible. Paint is great, other than some rock chips on the front bumper from my 30 mile highway commute. Some curb rash on the passenger side wheels from previous owner; it didn't bother me enough to fix, and I planned on using the stock wheels as winter wheels anyway. Currently the car is parked in a garage in Northern NJ, where it can be seen. I have a new M3 that is my daily, so the mileage wont go up at all. Maintenance is up-to date. All the services I did were done at Open Road Acura of Wayne, NJ.

Acura TLX sales stopped over rollaway fears

A bad indicator that could convince customers that affected cars are in park, even when they aren't, has pushed Acura to issue a stop-sale for the V6-equipped TLX sedan. The company has already alerted the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the potential safety defect. According to Consumer Reports, the defect is being blamed on unnamed transmission components in the nine-speed-automatic transmissions, which were damaged during assembly. A representative from Acura confirmed to CR that a more complete statement would be coming once the case can be reviewed by NHTSA. At this point, this case isn't a full recall, although it seems quite likely that's the direction it will take. Stay tuned for more.

2015 Acura TLX launch delayed

Last week in New York, Acura pulled the wraps off its all-new TLX sedan - a midsize model that replaces both the TSX and TL in one fell swoop. In a bit of behind-the-scenes full disclosure, we were originally scheduled to get our first drive of the car in early May. But an intrepid reader forwarded us an email to Acura dealers saying that the on-sale date of the TLX will be pushed back, and subsequently, the automaker confirmed to Autoblog that the official media launch has been postponed, as well. Acura spokesperson Chuck Schifsky tells us that the 2015 TLX will now go on sale later this summer.
"We don't view it as a major delay," Schifsky told Autoblog. The TLX is "the most technologically advanced Acura" yet - even more so than the original NSX, Schifsky says - and thus, there are "lots of systems to get sorted out." When asked if there is a specific component to point to regarding this delay, Schifsky told Autoblog that it's "not any one thing."
"We have determined that it is necessary to modify the production schedule for the 2015 TLX, which will move the on-sale date to late summer."
