2003 Volvo Xc70 2.5t Awd Excellent Condition 03 04 05 02 01 Like V70 Xc T5 R on 2040-cars
East Meadow, New York, United States
This car has been extremely good to me.. It really shows ZERO signs of its age or miles!! The pics will speak for themselves. Mechanically there is no issues!! I would not even blink todrive it cross country. This car rides very smooth, trans shifts perfect, motor is smooth. NO ISSUES! Driver mirror housing is cracked, but glass & power/heat function are fine. Power HEATED SEATS with memory! Cold A/C and toasty HEAT. All within the last 4-5k miles or so- The car has new brakes, new XC90 18" wheels, Kumho ASX All Season tires that are barely broken in, Pioneer front door speakers, and there was also some bushings replaced recently. I also just replaced the rear shocks with brand new OEM units, along with the rear sway/stabilizer bar from the V70R performance wagon! This made a TREMENDOUS improvement in the handling of the car!! Substantially less body lean, and improved ride quality. The timing belt was dealer-replaced at 105k. So you have at least another 30k+ miles before you need to worry about that!
This is truly a great car. It has all the versatility & space of an SUV, with the ride quality, handling, comfort & fuel efficiency of a sedan. This car has a lot more space than any of the compact SUV's & "crossovers" out there. I get very good mpg, given what this is. I typically average ~23mpg. I have seen as high as 27mpg on an all highway trip from Boston to NY. It is fantastic to drive in ALL weather. The All Wheel Drive system is great in any condition, including rain and SNOW! GET READY FOR WINTER!!
Shipping is buyers responsibility, but I will help as best I can. I would possibly be willing to deliver within an hour or so radius, as long as there is a train near by to take home. Email me, and we can work things out. I will be very accommodating. Please save both our times with low ball offers or trades. I am not interested in either one. |

Volvo Concept Coupe may see limited production
Wed, 25 Sep 2013Despite the impressive production debuts from Porsche and BMW at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show - the 918 Spyder and the i8, respectively - there was one car that captured the attention of the press and the public alike, enough so that we awarded it our overall top pick of the show: the Volvo Concept Coupe. Most concepts never make it to production, but the car's reception has been so positive that Volvo's board of directors is considering to produce it in limited quantities, Auto Bild reports. Italian coachbuilder Bertone could handle the limited production run.
Styled after the classic P1800, the Volvo concept was similar to the new Porsche and BMW in that it was equipped with a high-performance hybrid drivetrain. But Volvo took a different route from there, giving the sleek coupe a turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor at the rear axle. All in, the combo is good for 400 horsepower and 490 pound-feet of torque.
If the Concept Coupe makes it to production, it may not get the trick hybrid drivetrain mentioned above, Motor Athority reports, but a milder plug-in hybrid setup or even just a conventional fuel-burning engine. In any case, it would be a treat if Volvo produced a fully functional, street-legal Concept Coupe, though at that point we're thinking it would be due for a name change.
Volvo offers up more details on 2015 XC90 and its new infotainment system
Tue, 03 Jun 2014We have more details on the 2015 Volvo XC90 and the all-new, touch-heavy infotainment system that will debut with it. An expansion of the Sensus system, as we've shown you before, we now know the new system won't only sport a large, vertically oriented touchscreen, but a head-up display and the ability to manage the systems via wheel-mounted buttons.
Key to the entire experience are the large, portrait-oriented touchscreen, a head-up display and the thumb controls you can see on the face of the steering wheel in the image above. Volvo is claiming that this combination will be easier to use and, fittingly for the Swedish manufacturer, safer.
"Using the screen is so logical that it will become part of your muscle memory very quickly," said Dr. Peter Mertens, Volvo's senior vice president of research and development. "Information, navigation and media are high up and easy to check. The phone controls, application icons and climate controls are located low, comfortable to reach and touch. All of this logic is based on extensive usability and user experience research and the latest technology."
Volvo S60 Polestar Concept finally spotted in the flesh
Wed, 28 Nov 2012The Volvo S60 Polestar Concept has graced the pages of Autoblog numerous times in recent memory, but we've never actually seen it in person. That is, until now.
We caught up with the blazing blue sedan sitting on the floor of the LA Auto Show, and it looks even better up close. As a refresher, the four-door is fitted with a turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine (3.0-liter) generating an impressive 508 horsepower. Its close-ratio six-speed manual gearbox sends power to all four wheels through a fourth-generation Haldex XWD system. With a decent driver behind the steering wheel, the Polestar can crack the 60 mph benchmark in about 3.7 seconds as it rushes towards a top speed in excess of 186 mph.
Volvo has said that this Polestar-modified S60 was built for a specific client who paid upwards of $300,000 for the pleasure of owning it. But as they say, if there is market demand for more...
