2004 Volvo S60 2.4 Sedan 4-door No Reserve Runs Good! Needs Lil Tlc on 2040-cars
Wilson, North Carolina, United States
THIS IS A GREAT CAR THAT I BOUGHT FOR MY WIFE ABOUT TWO YEAR SAGO. IT HAS BEEN A RELIABLE CAR WITH NO BREAKDOWNS OR PROBLEMS. NO CK ENGINE LIGHTS OR PROBLEMS. BRAKES ARE GOOD TIRES OK. IT RUNS GREAT AND IS GOOD ON GAS. AC IS ICE COLD AND IT HAS CRUISE, DUAL POWER SEATS, MOONROOF AND THEY ALL WORK. AS FAR AS WHAT IT NEEDS, THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IS OUT AS SHOWN IN PICS. I BOUGHT IT LIKE THAT AND JUST NEVER GOT AROUND TO FIX IT. THE STRUT MOUNTS IN FRONT NEED REPLACING NOT EXPENSIVE ABOUT 50 A PC. A COMMON VOLVO FIX. ALSO THE TRUNK ONLY OPENS WITH KEY. THE BUTTON ON THE REMOTE TO OPEN STOPPED WORKING IT. THERE IS A LIL DAMAGE ON THE RT REAR 1/4 PANEL NOT SERIOUS. OVERALL THIS IS A GOOD CAR AND JUST NEEDS A LITTLE TLC. ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS FEEL FEE TO EMAIL ME. |

Volvo S80 nip/tuck spotted in China
Sun, 16 Dec 2012An early look at the new face of the Volvo S80 has made its way to the web. The Chinese site Auto Sina spotted a revised version of the country's S80L out in public and in plain view. Not too long ago, Doug Speck, the global head of marketing and sales for Volvo, said designers were working on a mild facelift for the S60 and S80, and while it is possible the Swedish manufacturer will roll out a different front fascia for the US market, the move seems unlikely.
The S80L seen here boats a tweaked grille and a Passat-inspired lower valance. New wheels and side-view mirrors also appear to be part of the update, as does a modified rear bumper and exhaust outlets. Volvo is set to debut the facelifed S80 next year, and while the manufacturer hasn't delivered an exact time frame, good money is on the vehicle showing up at the Detroit Auto Show in January or the Geneva Motor Show in March. Stay tuned for more information.
Volvo S60 Polestar concept plays in the snow with Mercedes C63 AMG
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Chris Harris took to a snowy stretch of tarmac to get a fingertips-on-the-wheel feel of the Volvo S60 Polestar concept. Harris says the turbocharged sedan with 508 horsepower and 424 pound-feet of torque - and a manual transmission - is "a study to see if Volvo can get back into the fast-car market." The Polestar S60 concept, one of which was already purchased for $300,000 by a private buyer, is still making the publicity rounds because even Volvo's Chinese owners realize that, as Harris says, "Volvo sold more cars because it made fast cars" like the old 850 T5 Wagon that stormed the British Touring Car Championship in the 1990s.
For reference, Harris compares the blue wonder to the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and its 487 hp and 442 lb-ft. The question is, were Volvo to get the price of a production version of the S60 Polestar to climb way down from its 200,000-pound sticker, could it be worthy competition to the established giants?
You can watch Harris divine the answer via a lot of drifting through the snow and a drag race in the video below.
Volvo to build range-topping S90 sedan in China
Thu, 13 Nov 2014Volvo is furthering its deep ties in China by announcing a major expansion to its factory in Daqing that will equip the site to build its future S90 sedan. The automaker is promising to make the plant, "one of the most advanced car making facilities in China," according to its press release. Unfortunately, the company isn't specifying the amount being invested or how long the work will take.
Because the northeastern Chinese city of Daqing owns about 37 percent of the automaker, the location for the significant expansion isn't entirely surprising, especially since Geely owns a majority stake in the Swedish brand. The existing factory there employs about 700 people to build the original XC90 for the local market, but the upgrades will allow the plant to handle Volvo's Scalable Product Architecture modular platform.
To be fair, Volvo doesn't specifically call out the S80-replacing S90 by name in its announcement. However, it promises the first vehicle built in Daqing after the expansion will be a new premium sedan, and the upgrades will allow the plant to make "most innovative vehicles in its product range," and the range-topping sedan is widely expected to adopt the S90 moniker.
