2002 Eurovan Multivan-Westfalia. This van is in excellent condition. The VR6 motor runs well, starts right up and does not leak oil, coolant and any other fluids. The Automatic transmission shifts smoothly and does not leak fluids as well. This van is ready for the adventure of your choosing. This 2 owner car ( I am the second owner) has been garaged and spent its time on the west coast. The original red paint is bright and glossy. (no fading). The body is very straight only showing a few blemishes or nicks. The van has been garaged since day one protecting not only the paint but the interior as well. I looked long and hard to find a eurovan in this this condition. The gray interior is very clean and does not show and signs of wear, staining or damage. Factory seating for 7. The canvas top has some minor fading and about 3 pin holes (see pictures). The pop out table is free of damage and works as new. The pop top works well and is easy and practical for set up during a quick lunch camp out or a long road trip. The factory pop top struts raise and safely hold the top in place as if they were new. All curtains are in place and in excellent condition. The floor has has full length Go Westy floor mats in place for protection. The Go Westy 16" Alloy rims and A/T tires make for a safe and smooth drive giving the van more stability and less body roll. The tires have less than 1000 miles. Tinted windows for privacy. The van has a upgraded Stereo with blue tooth and iPod capabilities. I would not hesitate to drive this van across country or South America. The van has all service records and factory books. All necessary service has been completed over the years with receipts. This eurovan is ready to go. You are welcome to come out and look/drive the van prior to bidding by appointment. Van can be viewed in Carlsbad Ca. A $500 deposit is required via Paypal at auctions close (within 12 hours). Balance to be paid in person within 7 days of close. Audi investing $30.3 billion through 2018 for product expansion
Sun, 29 Dec 2013How does Audi plan to reach two million units in annual sales and pay for the 11 new models it's adding to its lineup - an expansion that may include models named SQ2, Q9 and F-Tron? By increasing its investment to 22 billion euros ($30.3 billion US) between now and 2018. That figure represents an increase of about 500 million euros over the previously planned outlay, according to a report by Automotive News, and that could be due to Audi wishing to goad the momentum that pushed it to 1.5 million annual sales two years ahead of schedule.
It's also about staving off the challenges from BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Now that BMW has been able to turn some of its attention away from its "i" series of Megacity cars, it will reportedly spend more than planned in 2014 as it continues the rollout of ten all-new vehicles and 15 new-generation vehicles through the end of next year. Mercedes, having been dropped to third in the sales race, is preparing to add 13 new cars over the next six years.
Audi's money is going into technology, into product like the next-generation TT and the Q1 and production expansions and upgrades all over the world. The expenditure represents just under a fourth of Volkswagen's 84.2 billion-euro ($115.7 US) outlay devoted to taking the number-one global automaker title away from General Motors and Toyota by 2018.
VW Golf Sportsvan succeeds Golf Plus in Frankfurt
Sun, 08 Sep 2013
Just ahead of this week's Frankfurt Motor Show, Volkswagen has announced the world premiere of its Golf Sportsvan, a near-production concept that succeeds its Golf Plus. VW describes this compact family car as "one of the most versatile vehicles of the compact class," noting that it offers a mix of hatchback and minivan features in a sporty package.
That sportiness comes from the Sportsvan's styling (perhaps more sleek wagon than minivan) and performance features it shares with the Golf GTI - including the XDS+ electronic differential lock, which is integrated into the Electronic Stability Control system to improve agility. At the same time, the Sportsvan's six engine options, which include a turbodiesel, are up to 19-percent more fuel-efficient than their predecessors.
VW debuts Get Happy Super Bowl ad
Mon, 28 Jan 2013
Brace yourself for another tidal wave of Super Bowl commercials. Volkswagen has released its spot for this year's big game. Set to air during the second quarter, the Get Happy spot follows one jubilant office worker as he makes his way through the day, spreading joy wherever he goes. The source of his happiness? A Volkswagen Beetle, of course. Now, if you're wondering why a gaggle of white guys are running around on your screen with Jamaican accents, it will help to know the spot is part of a larger Get Happy campaign featuring Jimmy Cliff.
The first ad in the series featured the artist singing his rendition of "C'Mon, Get Happy," complete with a little help from some notorious unhappy YouTube stars. You can take a look at the new ad before it airs below, along with the complete press release for a little more background.
