Here is your chance to own a 1971 VW Bus that i bought off of Ebay and made into a cool pickup.First year for disc brakes!You dont even need to get it inspected if you get antique tags!My intention was to keep it but i lost interest.I have spent lots of money and especially time, but its time for someone else to finish the project.Most sheet metal panels are new,new main harness,exhaust,windshield and a lot of other parts,i have all the receipts.Runs and drives!Headlights,turnsignals,reverse lights,wipers,parking lights all work!The bumper paint was chipped straighting them out,i like how they look but you can paint them when you paint the truck.It is currently in black primer or use it just the way it is.(Fast an Loud style)(Rat Rod)Off the top of my head it needs all the weatherstrips for the doors,heater system was removed.If you are familiar with them they suck anyway.I have a clear New Jersey title but its not in my name so check with your state regs. I bought it like this because in PA you dont need the other party to transfer in your name,most states are similar.If i would need to i can always transfer it in my name and then we can transfer it in your name.Dont miss out out on this one of a kind!Anything i forgot i will ad later.E-mail me with any questions or extra pics,Not sure if mileage in odometer is accurate.Item is being sold as is,no warranties or refunds.Thanx

Volkswagen Golf Variant will make a lovely Jetta SportWagen
Tue, 05 Mar 2013In addition to several other versions of the Golf, Volkswagen is debuting the new Golf Variant (read: wagon) here at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. And if this bigger version of the Golf looks like it might fit right at home in the States, it's because we could possibly see some version of this car as the next-generation Jetta SportWagen here on our shores.
Volkswagen is debuting the Golf Variant with two efficient diesel engines, rated at 110 and 150 horsepower, the smaller of which is good for an impressive 71.3 miles per gallon on the European cycle (when mated to a six-speed manual transmission). The Golf Variant also gets a version of Volkswagen's 4Motion all-wheel-drive system, making it incredibly all-weather capable.
It's a handsome estate, and it wears the new Golf's design language well. We can't say for sure if this car will actually make its way Stateside, but given the fact that the current Jetta SportWagen still rides on the old Golf platform, the odds look to be in our favor.
Volkswagen E-Co-Motion Concept brings electric mobility to the commercial set
Wed, 06 Mar 2013Volkswagen sees a future where the bulk of the world's freight is moved into city centers by train, then offloaded onto a fleet of smaller, light-duty commercial vehicles for final delivery. Those vehicles could wind up looking something like the company's E-Co-Motion Concept that debuted at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The EV features a modular underfloor drive unit comprised of a battery, motor and gearbox that can be paired with any number of cab and body configurations to suit a buyer's needs, from a refrigerated box to a standard flat bed.
The E-Co-Motion Concept features a rear-mounted electric motor with 113 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque. A standard 20 kWh battery pack provides a driving range of up to 62 miles, while 30 kWh and 40 kWh packs could deliver 93 and 124 miles of travel, respectively. Volkswagen looking to acquire Proton, Lotus?
Thu, 26 Jul 2012Let's say you're an automaker bent on world domination looking to grow your sales. That's going to have you looking at Asian markets, because that's where some of the biggest growth has been, and that's exactly what Volkswagen is doing as it considers making another run at Malaysia's Proton.
Reuters reports that Volkswagen is interested in at least a partial stake, if not a controlling interest in Lotus-parent Proton as a way to continue a production presence in the region without having to build its own factory.
Volkswagen already builds the Passat in a DRB-HICOM facility in Pekan, Malaysia, and plans are in place to build the Jetta and Polo there, as well. With both southeast Asia and its relationship with Proton figuring so importantly in Volkswagen's plans for expansion, buying into Proton can help ensure stability. Volkswagen is being tight-lipped about the whole idea, but CEO Martin Winterkorn did recently say, "it's our clear goal to continue the successful (expansion) course of past years with great dynamics and stability," which sounds an awful lot like deals are on the table to smooth the path to further growth.
