Thanks! On May-09-14 at 09:09:45 PDT, seller added the following information: As promised new pics - note that I did not wait tip "Golden Hour" to take pics, These pics are in broad daylight. I didn't want to wait tip later to take pics that look better than they are. Even though the Bug looks better in person IMO. Trying to honestly represent this car. Also some notes from my drive today, you cannot beat this electronic distributor - the car fires up on the first try and immediately idles perfect, no gas pedal, gas pedal, gas pedal. just fire it up and let her warm up, The motor runs sooooo smooth, the clutch engages so nice and smooth, especially compared to other bugs Ive owned. Anyway this thing is nice and straight and if you email me your email address I can shoot you a quick video of the motor running if you'd like. Any more question just let me know. On May-09-14 at 09:22:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Well Ebay won't let me delete pics, so here is a link for 33 pics at photobucket : Ebay won't allow a link so contact me for the link to photobucket On May-09-14 at 09:31:38 PDT, seller added the following information: Ive tried everything to get link to Photobucket up here - just contact me for it Also I will have a few extra's for the winning bidder, not going to list them here, only winning bidder will know - thanks |

US-spec 2015 Volkswagen Golf and GTI to finally debut in New York
Tue, 12 Mar 2013The seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf is hardly new to us. In fact, we've already driven it. And elsewhere in the world, the new Golf is already winning awards. Even so, we still have yet to see the US-spec version of the car, though that won't be the case much longer. As part of the New York Auto Show festivities later this month, Volkswagen will finally show off the 2015 Golf models destined for our shores.
Three different versions of the Golf will debut under the lights of New York City's Javits Center: the turbocharged TSI, oil-sipping TDI and hotter GTI. The first model in that list uses Volkswagen's new 1.8-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, replacing the outgoing 2.5-liter naturally aspirated inline five-cylinder. The latter two models use familiar engines: the 2.0-liter TDI diesel and 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, respectively.
Even though the new Golf officially debuts later this month, it won't go on sale in the US until the first quarter of 2014. We'll be waiting patiently.
Porsche CEO Oliver Blume will be installed as head of the VW brand
Wed, Jun 3 2020Volkswagen Chief Executive Herbert Diess is planning to promote Porsche CEO Oliver Blume to take over as the head of the VW brand, according to a report from Auto Motor und Sport. Citing company sources, the German site said Bernhard Maier, who currently sits at the head of VW's Skoda brand, will lead Porsche in Blume's place. A shuffle at VW isn't surprising. The last thing Volkswagen needs as it transitions away from its long-running "clean diesel" TDI fiasco and into a clean electric ID future is negative press surrounding its burgeoning electrified lineup. Unfortunately, the ID.3 launch has been marred by software issues, with Manager magazine citing company engineers saying "the basic architecture was developed too hastily." Because of that underlying issue, various modules "often do not understand each other" and suffer dropouts. The brand-new eighth-generation Golf launch was also troubled and pushed back due to software problems. And more recently, Volkswagen was forced to pull an advertisement after admitting it was racist and insulting. That marketing misstep, according to the report, will lead to the firing of Chief Marketing Officer Jochen Sengpiehl. Related Video:
