Year:1976 Mileage:69898

I have had this great car for the past ten years or so.  I bought it from a woman in New Jersey whose husband had taken loving care of this great car for years.  Sadly he was killed in the Middle East flying a jet fighter for the US Air Force.

Since the car is entitled to classic or antique license plates annual state inspections are not required, at least in Pennsylvania.  Nevertheless this car has been serviced regularly by my local mechanic in King of Prussia and was recently inspected and found to be solid and sound and not in need of any major repair. The oil is changed yearly and it is lubed and serviced fully every year that I have had it.  Even so, with a car of this age I cannot guarantee any mechanical or other items.

The TR6 comes with an extra set of tires.  I replaced the sport tires with Red Line tires to obtain the authentic appearance. I have installed a brand new AM/FM radio, powerful JBL speakers, new bucket seats, new seat belts, and black carpet.  I have extra carpet in case one wants to redo the rear of the compartment.

The car has been kept covered in my garage all this time and driven only on weekends and during the summer.  It has only 69000 + miles listed on the odometer.  It runs great. All the gauges work.  I put on it a new spin on oil filter. I replaced the dash last year. My only complaint is that after sitting for some time is takes 15 or so cranks to get it started.  Minor upgrades with points or plugs should solve this problem.

No rust, solid clutch and transmission.  The top is fairly new (no rips or tears) and I include two touneau covers, one partial and one full.  This is a small hole in the cover that could be easily repaired.

Also included, in addition to the four extra tires, is an new spare tire, two sets of Triumph floor mats, an extra handle for the side window crank (I think it may need replacement soon), a new antenna, new lug nut wrench and extra set of new chrome lug nuts.  I have an extra, never used, car cover I will also include with this purchase.  Check out the pic for all the extras included.

This car can be seen or inspected in King of Prussia by appointment.  I reserve the right to end this auction early if the car is sold outside eBay.  A $750 PayPal deposit is due immediately and full payment with PayPal, cash, cashiers or certified check is due in seven days.  Local pick-up is required or you can make other arrangements for delivery.  There is a modest reserve on this auction to protect me investment.

Oh that roar and power!  The sound and the fun.  I get lots of complements every time I drive this great roadster. You must treat yourself to a great beach car and a great summer ride.   Contact me with any questions

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
