1969 Triumph Tr 6........restored on 2040-cars
Palm Beach, Florida, United States
Beautifully restored 1969 TR6, professional frame off nut and bolt restoration in 2009. All systems new or rebuilt. In a private collection since 2009, I purchased the car last April and continued to refine and refresh this excellent example,I added all new poly bushings through out, burled walnut "book end" wood dash, new top,new SS luggage rack, moto lita wheel, gear reduction starter, custom stainless steel exhaust and SS header , alu radiator,5 new dayton wires with 2 eared knock offs, crane ignition system, easy off oil filter, TRF magic clutch with the Gunst throw out bearing, lightened flywheel and of course the Chris Cancelli Stage 2 motor with the Keihin carbs "6 pack" that alone was a cost of 12 thousand. This car is tight and rattle free, no squeaks, and sounds fantastic without being annoying with plenty of power, You can see his work at Performance research industries. com. Exquisite. He primarily builds motorcycle engines and only builds 6or7 Triumph motors a year, I waited 8 months to have this motor building guru to do his thing to my motor. The car has not been driven in any weather for over 15 years (pre restoration). The motor has only a few (40)miles on it and still needs to be properly broken in. Motor runs on premium unleaded. If you want the best, have a look. I am selling this at a fraction of what I have in it. Almost 70K , if you want the best and don't want to spend or wait for a restoration, this is a reasonable alternative.Reason for selling, no time to use. Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
