1971 TR6 with overdrive. Solid vehicle with many new parts, including: clutch, brakes, stainless steel brake lines, shoes and pads. The motor was rebuilt with a hi-performance street camshaft, stainless steel header and exhaust and finned aluminum valve cover 10 years and less than 1,000 miles on the odometer since. Rebuild was at 89,144 miles. Good tires. This car is in above average condition -- giving it a 3 -3.5 on Hagerty condition scale. The pictures tell the tale. 90,138 original miles -- still being driven daily so mileage will increase. The previous owner contracted numerous health problems and the car sat untouched for the past 9 years. I bought it out of his storage garage and made sure that it is mechanically sound and ready for use. I have been driving it daily. The car has a good boot cover, good top - no rips, tears or leaks, and good glass in windshield and both doors. Chrome and paint are fair. A good buffing will make the car much more presentable. What it needs: Radiator shroud installed (new one included), new carpet, new tan trunk liner kit is included, left and right door outside window scrubbers, overdrive is not connected but the solenoid actuates with external power. Drivers door handle and window crank knob. The car was originally red but is now painted 1972 and later TR6 Pimento orange. If you are looking for a good driver quality TR6, a good restoration candidate or a rolling restoration - hobby car this is the car for you. The minimum bid is also the reserve price of $5,500.00. Buyer must arrange pick-up or drive ti home from Canton Ohio 44704. |

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
