I am the only owner of this truck.  I have the title which is clear.  The truck has never been in an accident with the exception of the dent in the bumper.  My wife backed into a metal pole.
The power features and engine are in good to great condition.  The outside of the truck is in fair condition.  The inside is in fair condition.  The photos will show the dents and scratched clearly.  I did not try to hide anything at all.

  The Good
  • Brand new off road tires.  The tires are two weeks old and have not been driven off road and very little at all.
  • Tires aligned and balanced
  • New battery
  • All power features work
  • New wiper blades
  • Has never been used for "mud riding."
  • Oil changes every 3,000 miles
The Not So Good
  • Obvious scratches and dents.  The dents on the top of the truck are from me filling a deer feeder that I made too tall.  I didn't realize I was denting in the top as I stood on it.  The dent over the front driver side tire is from a baseball.  The dent on the bumper is from my wife backing into a metal pole.  The scratches are from most anything you could imagine.  Some are from tree limbs and vines while others are from us leaning over in the bed of the truck while working and unloading items.
  • The tail gate latch is not present.  You have to pull the metal attachment to open it.  It does still open and close.  It does not close all the way on the passenger side which is shown in the photos.  It can be fixed but I didn't need too mess with it.
  • The driver's seat and the passenger seat.  The driver's seat is torn in several places.  We simply put seat "wraps" over them and kept going.  I took them off for the purpose of selling the truck.  The power seat features still work fine.
  • The check engine light is on.  This has been the case for over 100,000 miles.  The mechanic, which is not myself, replaced several of them at different times over the years but finally told me to not worry about them because it will not hurt the trucks performance.  I would get them replaced just because the light bothered me but I got over it.
  • The drivers side back window latch is broken.  This can be easily replaced but I chose to use a "zip" tie instead.
Payment:  I have not listed a vehicle before on Ebay but I assume you can pay via Pay Pal.  I will also accept a cashier's check.

Shipping:  You may either pick the truck up at my home or I will deliver it to you as a "drive-away."  The charge will be 40 cents a mile to your location.  I can meet the buyer along the route to save in shipping expense if needed.

You are welcome to put your mind at rest as far as me being a "fly by night" individual by checking out my name on social media outlets.  You should search Glynn J Nooner and you will find my page.  I don't mind you calling and asking any questions you need too as well.  I've been in the same city for over 40 years so I'm not hard to find.  It is a very good truck and we have loved it.  I really don't want to sell it but we are getting too many vehicles.  We really love it during deer season.  Being able to drive to your deer stand and use either the heat or the air condition beats the heck out of a four wheeler.

The pre-race and first in-race report from Le Mans

Sat, 22 Jun 2013

The 2013, 90th anniversary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans has begun, tragedy marking the opening laps with the death of Allan Simonsen. We're at the track now as a guest of Audi and plan to stay through the evening, and even we haven't been able to find out what caused the accident - the only video is from just after the incident, and beyond the statement from ACO there's been no more news. The Aston Martin in the LM GTE Am class and its all-Danish drivers had taken pole in its class and was one of the favorites to win.
The pre-race report will come first, and even thought we can't spoil the race because we're only five hours into it at the time of writing, we'll put all of the news at the end in case you don't even want the updates.
Or you can go straight to the high-res galleries above.

Momkhana goes drifting with a V8 minivan in the 'burbs

Thu, Feb 19 2015

Ken Block probably never expected that he would launch countless imitators when he released Gymkhana years ago, but by now we've seen the concept broadened for everything from toy cars to Crazy Carts. The latest parody is Momkhana, and it moves the setting to the suburbs for a trip to the shoe store. Before you completely write off the idea, though, keep in mind the vehicle making the commute is a drift-happy, rear-wheel drive Toyota Sienna boasting an LS3 V8 with an estimated 550 horsepower. The significant increase in muscle certainly makes a drive to the strip mall a lot more entertaining. In addition to the engine transplant, the minivan gets a massive handbrake to allow for big slides through the neighborhood. The clip replicates many of the classic stunts from Block's Gymkhana videos but in new, rather absurd surroundings. So instead of long, smoky donuts in a warehouse, they happen at the end of a cul-de-sac. If you're curious to see how the video was done, Famous Footwear, which created the clip, also made a featurette showing off some of the van's preparation and filming behind the scenes. 2020 Toyota Highlander vs other 3-row crossovers: There can only be one!

Fri, Dec 20 2019

We've done quite a few spec comparison posts involving three-row family crossovers, and when included, the Toyota Highlander has always been the runt of the group. While the rest increasingly seemed to be benchmarking each other toward greater girth, the Highlander was the outlier.  That changes a bit for the 2020 Toyota Highlander, but only a bit. It's now larger and more competitive, specifically in regards to the amount of cargo space aft of the third-row seat. As you can see below, this aligns the Highlander most closely to its long-time competitor the 2020 Honda Pilot. However, let's see how it stacks up to others in the segment, which is heavily populated now, so for the sake of space, we've selected the newest entries: Kia Telluride, Hyundai Palisade, Subaru Ascent and Ford Explorer. The order in which they are presented is random.  Performance and fuel economy The 2020 Highlander is more than 200 pounds lighter than its predecessor, but has the same 295-horsepower V6 engine that was already one of the strongest in the segment. We'd say that would give it a leg up, but the Pilot and Explorer have proven to be sprinters, delivering 0-60 times in the low-6 range by some publications' stopwatches (or VBoxes, whatever). We don't expect the Highlander to beat them, but it may dip into the 6's. The heavy, less-powerful Subaru Ascent is most likely to take up the rear. It's fuel economy of 23 mpg combined also matches the Highlander and Explorer for segment-best. Remember, however, that the Explorer's turbocharged inline-four engine is likely more susceptible to differences in driving style (read: a heavy foot).  Of course, if you're really interested in fuel economy, the Highlander and Explorer are the only vehicles in the segment to offer hybrid versions. The Ford Explorer Hybrid puts a greater emphasis on performance, however, resulting in lower estimates of 25 mpg combined (AWD) and 28 mpg combined (FWD). By contrast, the new 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid is estimated to return 36 mpg combined.  Passenger and cargo space According to Highlander chief engineer Yoshikazu Saeki, he had a choice of two directions with the new Highlander. He could have indeed made it bigger, matching these very competitors, especially in terms of third-row and cargo space. Or, he could have maintained a smaller-than-average size. He obviously chose the latter. First, it was the size customers had come to expect. Would they be put off by something bigger?
