TacomaHQ is proud to offer another very clean, fuel efficient, and ready to go 2001 Toyota Tacoma Xtracab.  It has only had One Female Owner since brand new in 2001.  It was just traded into a Toyota dealership on a new Tacoma, and we were able to purchase it directly from them.  It runs, looks, and drives great!
I have offered and sold 110+ 1995-2007 Tacomas on eBay in the past two years.

The exterior is in beautiful condition.  The original "Beige Metallic" paint shines absolutely great.  There aren't any real dents, dings, or scratches to mention.  It really is that clean.  There is no rust at all on the truck, with the exception of a very small spot on the passenger front fender.  The undercarriage is very clean.  The frame, control arms, and leaf springs were replaced under Toyotas nationwide recall.  It has a 15 year factory-backed warranty.

The interior is also nice and clean.  The carpets, dashboard, glass, and headliner are all in great shape.  There aren't any rips, tears, or stains.  The drivers seat area has a handful of burns or so.  All of the electronics are functioning properly.

This Toyota Tacoma has a few nice features and options!

- 2.4L 4-Cylinder Engine

- Automatic Transmission

- Ice Cold Air Conditioning

- CD Player w/Cassette

- Tilt Steering

- Sliding Rear Window

- Intermittent Wipers

- Toyota Bedliner

This Tacoma runs and drives perfect as you would expect.  Everything works as it should.  The 2.4L 4-Cylinder engine starts instantly with no smoke.  The transmission shifts super smooth.  The truck goes straight down the road with no shakes, rattles, or pulls.  There are no exhaust leaks.  The brakes stop great with no pulsations as well.  Again, this truck runs and drives 100%!  This truck has well over $1,500 of recent work.  It has a brand new Catalytic Converter, brand new front Brake Pads and Rotors, and 4 brand new Uniroyal Liberator A/T Tires.

I have 4 Keys, the full owners manual set, the full size spare tire, jack, tools, and a clean/clear title.

Shuttle-hauling Tundra finds permanent home in science exhibit

Mon, 03 Jun 2013

The idea of lifting a full-size pickup truck completely off the ground by hand might seem as likely as, say, said pickup truck towing a 150,000-pound space shuttle, but... hurray, physics! The same Toyota Tundra that towed the Space Shuttle Endeavour to its final resting place at the California Science Center is now on permanent display there as an exhibit that shows how a lever works.
Like all levers, this exhibit uses a fulcrum allowing people other than Superman to lift the 5,625-pound pickup (plus an extra 1,000 pounds for the rig). That's almost as impressive as the Tundra pulling 17 times its rated towing capacity back in October. Regardless, Toyota is once again cashing in on the publicity stunt and visitors to the science center get a live demonstration of a simple machine - we call that a win-win.

400-hp Toyota Hybrid-R Concept gets second teaser

Tue, 13 Aug 2013

Toyota has released a second teaser of its Hybrid-R Concept, along with an estimation of the show car's power output. Using technology that's "similar to that used by Toyota Racing's TS030 Hybrid race car," the concept is expected to deliver over 400 horsepower.
The press release also mentions that the new concept is based on a current production model. While it's difficult to tell from the sole teaser image of the car's body, rumors are flying that it's related to the Yaris. If that's the case, though, it's difficult to know what to make of this concept. The teaser image is quite dark, but we played around with the exposure and came up with an image that reveals more details about the new concept. Take a look at the related gallery, below, to see the high-exposure image. We'll find out for certain what the Hybrid-R is in a few weeks at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Let us know what you think Toyota's newest concept is in the comments.

2017 Toyota 86 Drivers' Notes | Fun, even with an automatic

Fri, Aug 25 2017

The Toyota 86 is a car that enthusiasts begged Toyota to build for decades. It's small, lightweight and rear-wheel drive. Thanks to a partnership with Subaru that resulted in the BRZ, this stylish coupe hit the streets in 2012. In the U.S., the car was originally known as the Scion FR-S but was rebadged as a Toyota after Scion was axed last year. Along with a new name, the 86 received updated styling both inside and out as well as a revised suspension and a slight bump in power, at least for the manual models. This Hot Lava-colored car doesn't feature Toyota's slick six-speed manual. Instead it rocks a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters. While some enthusiasts may look down at that, automatics make up more than half of 86 sales. Still, the bones are there, and some people don't think the automatic is all that bad. Either way, we can't encourage enough people to buy these cars, as we want Toyota and Subaru to keep building them. Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder: When I first slid behind the wheel of the 86, I was surprised to see the gear selector and paddles. It's one of those cars that you don't think of as having anything but a manual transmission. Also, in an interior where all the controls and displays are underwhelming, a set of paddle shifters stands out as one of the few tactile objects in the cabin. I ended up using the paddles quite a bit, and found that I actually enjoyed using them, so much so that I'd actually consider opting for the automatic transmission were I to buy an 86. Despite shifts that aren't as razor sharp as they could be, the car's high-revving engine means that it still feels great to use. Riding an engine like this up to its redline, filling the cabin with noise, is the sort of thing that'll give you goosebumps. Being able to keep both hands on the wheel while shifting is a good thing for engagement in this car, based on my time with it. Plus, when I got stuck in traffic, I didn't have to wear out my left leg. The other brilliant thing about the Toyota 86 is its sense of balance. I loved the way it communicated its load distribution when cornering, whether on or off the throttle or brake. The fact that the nose of this car snaps right to where you want it when you start dialing in steering angle is satisfying. And its low stance and good view out the windshield make it really easy to place on the road.
