I'm super picky, so I did my best to disclose every little thing. Keep in mind this is not a race car or a show car. It's a daily driver.

I'm super picky, so I did my best to disclose every little thing. Keep in mind this is not a race car or a show car. It's a daily driver. I'm not too flexible on price as I have grown really attached to the car. If the car I'm trying to buy (2009 Titanium GTR) sells before I sell my car, I will end this auction.

This has been my daily driver for over 5 1/2 years - I purchased the car with 105k miles.
HKS Timing belt, HKS cam gears, new tensioner, new water pump, new Koyo radiator installed less than 1k miles ago.

Less than 5k miles on all new parts for Single turbo kit & Fuel setup.

Newly 8k worth of work with Black re-paint, Euro hood scoop, new underhood insulation and Seats recovered leather -w- Suede insert
(April 2013  by Elite Custom Body & Paint)

Everything works including cruise,No smoke or oil burning issues.
AC blows cold. Recently replaced front tires + 4 wheel alignment.

I have a large collection of receipts of parts I have replaced since owning the car Including: coil packs & connectors, shifter knob, clutch, brakes, fuel pump, fuel filters, upper/lower rad hoses, fan clutch, both o2 sensors, gauges clear plastic and loads of misc parts.

FYI/NOTE: Stock U.S. 2jzgte replaced by previous owner (cracked block), not positive on current miles on engine, but would guess over 100k since I have put 60k myself.
No known issues and runs strong. I have not done a comp check because its not given me problems. I do not plan to do one, but your welcome to before buying the car, but honestly its not going to make me flex much on my price since I have EASILY put $14k plus in just the past 6 months in the car.
I have tried to disclose car history so you are not mislead.

Points of interest issues:

1) oil pan upper/lower pan needs reseal and rear main seal leaks
2) Climate Control must use "auto" for high fan speed - (hi/lo knob only turns fan down)
3) Coilovers are creaky
4) Alpine radio is ancient and doesnt open/close flip screen without help (I leave it open)
5) Hot restarts in after car is sitting for 15-20 minutes car runs lean for about 1-2min seconds then goes back to normal 14.7 idle. This didn't happen until after VPC. I replaced the VPC temp sensor with brand new sensor and no change.

Toyota produces millionth truck in Texas

Thu, 19 Sep 2013

After going online in 2006, Toyota's San Antonio, Texas truck plant has just built its one-millionth vehicle, the 2014 Tundra 1794 Edition you see above. The plant originally focused on just the Tundra pickup, but the smaller Tacoma started rolling off the line there in 2010, as well.
Fittingly, the 1794 Edition (a new premium trim level for 2014) pays homage to the property on which the Toyota plant now resides - a ranch that was founded in 1794. Scroll down for the official press release for the plant's milestone, and be sure to check out the full gallery of Tundra 1794 Edition images as well.

Junkyard Gem: 2010 Pontiac Vibe

Wed, Apr 17 2024

Just over a month before filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June 2009, General Motors announced that the 83-year-old Pontiac Division would be "phased out" by the end of 2010. Only three Pontiac vehicles were sold as 2010 models in the United States: the Solstice, Vibe and G6 (new G3s were sold here during 2010 but they were all 2009 models, while the G5 was available as a 2010 model only in Canada and Mexico). Today's bit of junkyard automotive history is one of the very last Vibes ever built, found in a yard near Denver, Colorado. This car is significant not just as one of the final vehicles to bear Pontiac badges but also as one of the last cars built by the New United Motor Manufacturing Incorporated GM-Toyota joint venture in California, better known as NUMMI. The NUMMI factory began life as GM's Fremont Assembly, which built its first vehicle (a C-Series pickup) in 1963 and closed in 1982 after building its final vehicle (an Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera). Rebooted as NUMMI, the first 1985 Chevrolet Nova (an Americanized AE82 Toyota Corolla Sprinter) rolled off the line in December of 1984. A quarter-century and better than eight million vehicles hence, NUMMI shut down production after its last Corolla was finished on April 1, 2010. While there was some noise about the Oakland Athletics building a new stadium on the site at the time, Tesla ended up buying most of the site soon after that. Tesla now builds more vehicles per year there than NUMMI ever did. The Vibe was co-developed with Toyota and based on the same platform as the ninth-generation Corolla. The Toyota Matrix was mechanically identical and was built in Canada, while the Japanese-market version (known as the Toyota Voltz) was built on the same NUMMI line as the Vibe and shipped across the Pacific. The Vibe/Matrix/Voltz got a redesign for the 2009 model year, but few noticed due to all the turmoil in the GM world at the time. The final Vibe was built in August 2009. This car was built in July of 2009, just before the end. It was living in West Texas just prior to coming to Colorado. El Paso is about a ten-hour drive from this car's current location. Once in the Centennial State, it got parked somewhere it shouldn't have been and ended up being auctioned to Pick Your Part. An occupant of this Vibe had time to sample some of the local agricultural products before that happened.

Evo pits Toyota GT86 vs. Mazda MX-5 Miata

Tue, Sep 8 2015

The latest Deadly Rivals episode from Evo gets the Mazda MX-5 Miata and Toyota GT86 (our Scion FR-S) on track for a shakedown and a whole lot of drifting with Dan Prosser behind the wheel. The UK-spec coupes have slightly different power ratings than ours, but it's all close enough to be comparable. Their Miata has 158 horsepower (ours has 155), 148 pound-feet of torque, takes 7.3 seconds to run from naught to 60 62, and costs 22,695 pounds. The GT86, on the other hand, lists a 7.6-second dash to 60 62, and a base price of 25,000 pounds. The GT86 also weighs 400 pounds more than the Mazda. That's true in the States, too – curb weight for our MX-5 is 2,332 pounds, whereas the Scion FR-S comes in at 2,758 pounds. Both cars lauded for excellent shifting, but one of them has a better front end, a sweeter engine note, more controllable cornering behavior, and is faster by a tenth of a second around the test track. And Prosser doesn't mention it, but one has a lot more body roll. But it takes more than all that to make a winner, so check out the video above to see which is which.
