We are the second owner of this 2008 Toyota Sienna LE with 86k miles.  You can see from the photos that the exterior shine/clean interior of this van has very little wear. Everything works, and it runs and handles like a tight, new vehicle. This van is really tops on the list when you’re looking for reliability and comfort. The LE model is equipped with most of the comfortable options, and we like the cloth seats better than the leather that comes standard with XLE version. If you’re looking for a family vehicle, we think this rates as one of the best in the 7 passenger van class, and is much more practical than any SUV we looked at.

The main attractions of the vehicle are as follows; a smooth, quiet, and powerful 3.5-liter V-6 (266 horsepower) and matched up with a smooth five-speed automatic transmission; the vehicle handles like a large sedan with a creamy ride quality; seating for seven big people; a contemporary array of passive safety features; an excellent reputation for reliability (other than oil changes, tires, and brake pads, we replaced the left rear wheel bearings a few weeks ago).

As you might expect, you will find lot of personal storage space (two glove boxes, big door pockets, more cup holders than there are seats (10), a sliding storage console between the front seats, and even a place to store your gym bag or purse on the floor. You can haul a lot of cargo with the 60/40 split third-row bench that collapses easily into the floor and only requires one hand to fold or deploy (see photos).

The vehicle options beyond standard are the 6 CD changer, Power Driver’s seat, Power Side Door. I also invested in $250 custom WeatherTech floor mats for the Sienna that have protected the carpets from moisture and mud. The custom ProClip is handy for setting your ipod or phone in handy reach/view.

The vehicle has slightly worn, but really quiet Michelin Tires (I estimate you could get another 10,000 miles on these tires, and recommend the same tires for replacements next year).

We have a few too many vehicles in our possession, so we must sadly part ways with this great vehicle.

Toyota CamRally is vanilla spiced

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

We weren't quite sure it was possible, but NASCAR driver Parker Kligerman and the other folks behind this Toyota Dream Build Challenge vehicle (check out the other cars in the challenge) have made the Camry, a versatile but vanilla family sedan, into a performance car to be reckoned with. And by stripping it (literally) of its versatility and injecting some spice into it, this rally-spec Camry does indeed appeal to the enthusiast crowd.
The appeal starts with the CamRally's vintage Toyota racing colors of red, orange and yellow painted on a widened body. Those wide fender flares and rocker panels, paired with the revised front and rear fascias (and massive rear spoiler), lend the car an aggressive look without being tacky, and enhance the aerodynamics. But peel back the skin and you'll find plenty of performance upgrades to back up the looks.
While Toyota doesn't say how much horsepower it makes, the CamRally's V6 is turbocharged, and we assume the car's brake upgrade is indicative of the engine's increased output. The stripped interior only contains what's needed for rally racing, including bucket seats, a motorsport steering wheel covered in Alcantara, a carbon-fiber dashboard and a roll cage.

Toyota Tundra ditches V6 for 2015

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

The Toyota Tundra debuted in new-ish form for the 2014 model year, but as we head into 2015, the truck boasts a couple of small updates. Most notably, the base V6 engine has been discontinued. On top of that, there's the new TRD Pro model on offer for 2015, which we've told you about before.
Why kill the V6? Simple - it was very low-volume. "The Tundra V6 take rate was significantly less than five percent," a Toyota spokesperson confirmed via email to Autoblog. So for 2015, the two V8 engine options remain - a 4.6-liter unit with 310 horsepower and 327 pound-feet of torque, or the more powerful 5.7-liter powerplant with 381 hp and 401 lb-ft. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive is standard. Four-wheel drive, of course, is available with either engine.
The only other noteworthy changes for 2015 include an optional integrated trailer brake for the 5.7-liter models, a new rear under-seat tray storage system for Double Cab trucks, and a spray-in bed-liner. Scroll down for the official press blast.
