If you are in the market for a nice, well cared for Toyota Prius and don't mind extra miles if it has been well cared for and it is set at a great price then you are going to LOVE my 2004 model with 193k miles! This car looks and drives great with no issues and it has the $5245 package #9 option which includes navigation, side curtain air bags, HID headlights, smart entry and start with alarm, JBL stereo with CD and cassette and nine speaker system, stability control and front fog lights! It all really adds to the car and there are new tires as well! It runs and drives nice and tight with no problems and it is amazing what quality cars these Prius' are. At 193k miles everything is still solid with no shakes or rattles and all the options work great as well. It has a clean Autocheck report showing no accidents or problems and it received a great score of 91 points out of an average rating of between 82-89 points for these cars so you know it has a great history as well. I bought it from the Toyota dealership at auction and they wrote in 199k miles but it has 193k miles. The exterior looks amazing for the miles, much like a car with half the miles or less. The Toyota paint has a nice deep shine with no dents, scrapes, fade or rust. The wheels have a bit of light corrosion but not too bad and again the tires are new and help give this Prius a smooth and quiet ride. The interior is just as nice with no stains, rips or odors and this is a non-smoker's car as well. Again, it is amazing how nice and clean the interior is for the miles, a good person owned this car. All the power options work great including the air conditioning, navigation and upgraded JBL stereo system. The battery is fully charged with no issues as well and the Hybrid engine runs perfect with no problems and will deliver 50mpg! The transmission is smooth and the suspension is rattle free. I have seen these car with over 300k miles on them! Look it over good and I promise you is looks and drives every bit as nice as the pictures and description say and once around the block you are sure to fall in love and everytime you pass up the gas station and repair shop you are sure to love it more! I have great feedback so you can be sure that this vehicle will be just as nice as I am stating. GT Academy returns, and why Gran Turismo 6 demands a pedal/wheel setup

The path to become a racing driver is a difficult one. It requires starting early, with karts, and then building up through the years and if you're really, really good (and really, really lucky), a team will notice you and sign you up. Or, you know, you could just become really good at Gran Turismo, and beat out other like-minded fanatics for a seat in the GT Academy.
The racing school, which culls its students from the ranks of Gran Turismo players has already pumped out successful racers, most notably, Lucas Ordoñez, who has a second and third-place finish under his belt at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With the 2014 GT Academy kicking off April 21 and running through June 16, you could have a chance to be the next Ordoñez.
That won't be easy, though. We recently had a playthrough on GT6 the proper way - with a racing seat, pedals and a steering wheel, complete with column-mounted paddles. (Our setup looked just like the one you see above, though that image is from E3.) In other words, it was as close to driving an actual car as most console games can get.

Toyota nudges US sales projections up to 2.25M

Toyota has raised its expectations for 2013's US sales for the third time since the end of 2012. The new target rests at 2.25 million units, when sales of Toyota, Lexus and Scion are taken as one. Subtracting Lexus, Toyota is still expecting to move over two million vehicles in the US by the end of 2013.
According to a report from Automotive News, the sales expectations came from Bob Carter, senior VP of automotive operations for Toyota USA, during a dealers during a meeting in Atlanta. The heightened expectations go along with Toyota's predictions for the US market as a whole, which it expects to grow to 15.5 million units by the end of 2013.
Besides an overall, national uptick in new vehicle sales, Toyota is also expecting a big push as it puts the next-generation Corolla to market during the second half of this year, along with the Tundra pickup truck. Meanwhile, dealers were shown images of a refreshed Camry, set to arrive in 2015, and reported that it's "more than a nip and a tuck," according to the AN report.

Toyota is the top-selling automaker in the world. Again. Still. With total reported sales, including those from subsidiaries, of 9.98 million in 2013, Toyota's performance was enough to outpace rival General Motors by around 270,000 vehicles. That's a 2.4-percent gain over 2012, and it makes Toyota the top-seller two years in a row. Still, the gap between the top three is shrinking - Toyota held a 460,000-unit lead in 2012.
GM sold 9.71 million vehicles last year, a four-percent increase, coming in second place ahead of Volkswagen, which sold around 9.5 million. According to Bloomberg, Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda said his company managed to win the sales race while also remaining more profitable than GM or VW.
It's going to be another interesting year in 2014 as the three behemoth automakers vie for the title of World's Largest. Toyota has predicted that it will increase sales in 2014 to 10.32 million - which would make Toyota the first automaker ever to surpass 10 million global sales - though General Motors and VW are expected to again fight for the lead in the massive Chinese market. Stay tuned.
