I purchased this truck last year after months of searching for near perfect maintenance history on a 06'-07'. The PO was beyond anal about getting this truck in for scheduled maintenance. The current mileage is 113,3xx, I do usually drive it daily, so that mileage will go up slightly. There have been no accidents that I'm aware of, it's a non-smoker car, etc. I can send the service records as a PDF to any perspective buyers, below they are copy and pasted from the Toyota Owners website, any small gaps (oil changes for instance) I assume were done at a local service station:

11/13/2013: New air filter, and serpentine belt

09/26/2013: 112,342 - OIL & FILTER CHANGE, ROTATE TIRES, EXTRA OIL CHARGE.

I bought it stock with plans to take out the AHC and add an EMU lift, but AHC has always performed perfectly and I do like the flexibility of it, so AHC remains, and I think a fantastic system. As for modifications:

-I added 275/70/18 Duratrac's about 8000 miles ago, they were just rotated less than 1000 miles ago.

-BIOR bumpers and sliders. Mike was great as I went back and forth numerous times about the custom front bumper. I deleted the hoop, and had him add the fog/driving light 'pockets.' I also had his powder coater spray it to color match (as close as possible) the galatic gray exterior. The fogs are Rigid Dually's, the spots are Trekpod Quad XT's, both lights work off the OEM fog light switch. The winch installed in the bumper is an Engo E10000 with synthetic line. The sliders are his basic model. I had him make the rear bumper with no accessories accept a hitch, as 99.9% of the time (for my use) it would be inconvenient to have a swing out.

-EMS cat-back with the hidden exhaust tip (I replaced the O2 sensors too).

-I have an aftermarket warranty on the truck, it's transferable and good through 12/2015 or about 16,000 more miles.

-I also added Sirius to the to the stock head unit and weathertech liners.

If there was something wrong on this truck I would list it, but there are no issues that I'm aware of. There are a couple minor door dings and scuffs. The seats and leather have no rips or major wear, there are some minor stains on the carpet, nothing out of the ordinary.

Toyota gives up more information on Frankfurt-bound Yaris Hybrid-R concept

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

Toyota has undeniably carved out a niche for itself as the industry's leader in hybrid propulsion. What started out with the original Prius in 1997 has, over the past sixteen years, ballooned to what Toyota reports as a global hybrid portfolio of 23 models. But few (if any of them) are particularly exciting.
That's where the Yaris Hybrid-R concept comes in. Set to be showcased along with the rest of Toyota's hybrid and fuel-cell lineup at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show next month, the concept starts with one of the Japanese auto giant's least exciting models and upgrades it to more enticing territory. Toyota Motorsport GmbH - the same Cologne, Germany-based division that operated the company's F1 team, currently runs its Le Mans program and gave us that bonkers 650-horsepower Lexus LS - has slotted in a version of Toyota's new 1.6-liter Global Race Engine and paired it with a couple of electric motors for hybrid propulsion and through-the-road all-wheel drive.
Like the TS030 Hybrid LMP1, the Yaris Hybrid-R concept uses a super capacitor (instead of a conventional battery) to store the regenerated brake energy and give it upwards of 400 horsepower. That's about all Toyota is revealing at this point, but this is the first time it has confirmed the project is based on a Yaris, of all things, and the confirmation comes with the solitary teaser rendering you see above. Check out the press release after the jump and watch this space for more as Frankfurt fast approaches.

2020 Ford Escape plug-in vs. Toyota RAV4 Prime, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV: How they compare on paper

Tue, Jun 9 2020

This year is when the entry-level plug-in crossover market really starts to heat up. Both Ford and Toyota have new models in the 2020 Ford Escape and the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime. They join the segment veteran Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, which has been available in the U.S. since the 2018 model year. And of course that means it's time to look at how the numbers add up while we wait for our chance to drive the new competitors. You can find a chart with all the details immediately below, followed by more detailed analysis. Powertrain One of the key factors for any hybrid, particularly plug-in models, is how little fuel they use. Overall, the Ford Escape is the winner with 100 mpg-e, the fuel economy equivalency for the vehicle when assessing it with a full battery. The Toyota is close behind with 94 mpg-e. We're expecting the Escape to also be a bit more efficient when running only on gas, as it reportedly gets 41 mpg. The RAV4 will likely get 40 mpg, or possibly slightly less, since the non-plug-in RAV4 Hybrid achieves 40 mpg combined. Running solely on electric power, though, the RAV4 edges out the Escape with 42 miles of range versus 37. Behind both of them is the Mitsubishi with just 22 miles of range, 25 mpg on gasoline only, and 74 mpg-e with a full battery. One unique feature the Mitsubishi claims is DC fast charging capability, meaning 80% of its electric range can be restored in just 25 minutes, possibly allowing for more electric use depending on where you're driving it. While fuel economy is a priority for hybrids, customers won't want to compromise on other features. The Toyota is easily the least compromising, as it returns impressive range and efficiency while also providing a whopping 302 horsepower and all-wheel drive. The Mitsubishi also has all-wheel drive, but a comparatively paltry 190 horsepower. The Ford produces slightly more power at 200, but is front-wheel-drive only. While low in comparison to the RAV4 Prime, the Mitsubishi and Ford have very competitive output to many comparably-sized conventional crossovers with base engines, such as the Honda CR-V, Chevy Equinox and others. Size and space Naturally one of the reasons for buying a crossover is for its practical shape for comfortable hauling of people and stuff. In this regard, all three crossovers are very close. The Escape wins out with legroom, the Toyota with shoulder room. Headroom is split between the Toyota and Mitsubishi.

2015 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro

Thu, 23 Oct 2014

Despite the earnest efforts of Japanese automakers like Toyota and Nissan, the American pickup truck scene remains wholly dominated by the likes of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler. This is not news. Part of the reason is because of the sheer number of variants offered by US automakers - everything from work-spec base trucks to house-leveling heavy duty models can be had, with a seemingly endless combination of engines, cab sizes, bed lengths and trim levels. It's a hugely profitable business, and though the Japanese automakers still offer competitive fullsize trucks, in terms of sheer volume, they simply don't compete.
But American pickups aren't just about work; there's a huge play aspect involved, too. Look at the desert-storming Ford F-150 SVT Raptor or the Ram Power Wagon - these butch trucks are built with superb off-road prowess in mind, and Detroit's Japanese rivals have once again largely been silent in this segment. Until now.
Introduced at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, Toyota now offers the TRD Pro series of models that, in addition to the crazy-orange Tundra seen here, includes the smaller Tacoma pickup and 4Runner SUV. And this isn't just some pretty appearance package, either - there's honest-to-goodness capability baked into all of the TRD Pro models. Intriguing, for sure, so I recently spent a weekend with the big boy Tundra to see what's what.
