The previous owner was in the process of full restoring the vehicle and ran into hard times. I purchased the vehicle only a few months ago and immediately began working out some of the bugs. Since I have owned the vehicle, I have replaced the alternator, fan belts, new tires, and changed all of the fluids. The main defects are cosmetic. There are some chrome trim pieces missing around the top of the exterior and there is an exterior door trim piece that I have but it is not on the vehicle. Interior the power window lock switch fell off and only the driver window works now. You can make a contact on the switch and operate the other windows, however it is inconvenient. The front seats were reupholstered on the seat portion. There is a small tear on the back of the back seat carpet. The clear coat on the roof is starting to peel but overall the paint is in excellent shape as it was redone recently."

Overall this vehicle is in excellent condition.  I purchased the vehicle only a few months ago and immediately began working out some of the bugs.  Since I have owned the vehicle, I have replaced the alternator, fan belts, new tires, new tie rod set and alignment and changed all of the fluids.  The main defects are cosmetic.  There are some chrome trim pieces missing around the top of the exterior and there is an exterior door trim piece that I have but it is not on the vehicle.  On the interior the power window lock switch fell off and only the driver window works now.  You can make a contact on the switch and operate the other windows, however it is inconvenient if you are driving.  The front seats were reupholstered on the seat portion.  There is a small tear on the back of the back seat carpet.  The clear coat on the roof is starting to peel but overall the paint is in excellent shape as it was redone recently.  I would say that this vehicle is about 80-85% complete for full restoration.  With the exception of the roof, the paint is in excellent condition.  The interior is in great condition except for the mention above.  The dash is flawless and there are no cracks or sun spots.  I bought four brand new Cooper Discover S/T 31 x 10.5 R15 LT tires when I bought the vehicle and they have less than 1,000 miles on them.  There are fog lights mounted to the front bumper but they need to be wired in to a switch that is mounted inside the car just below the steering wheel.  The vehicle is kept clean inside and out and has been a reliable daily driver for the last few months.  The previous owner was in the process of full restoring the vehicle and ran into hard times.   I am selling due to a new addition to the family and I need a vehicle that is more practical.

BMW i5 could get Toyota-sourced hydrogen power

Tue, 18 Nov 2014

It's starting to feel like the automotive landscape is right on the cusp of a boom in hydrogen-fueled vehicles. After all, the Toyota FCV is nearly ready, Volkswagen is readying a fuel cell concept for this week's Los Angeles Auto Show and Hyundai already sells its Tucson Fuel Cell. The next big name to add to that list might be BMW, as the company's co-development deal with Toyota starts to bear fruit.
According to Autocar, BMW may use a version of the fuel cell system from the Toyota FCV in the future i5. As part of its eco-oriented i sub-brand, the i5 is expected to be a stretched version of the i3 (pictured above) with extra rear legroom and cargo space. It's unclear at the moment whether a battery-powered pure electric powertrain will also be available. If accurate, then the rumor could give the Bavarian brand a counterattack against Mercedes-Benz' planned fuel cell vehicle in 2017.
BMW and Toyota first signed the memorandum of understanding to co-develop fuel cells, lightweight technology and a sports car back in 2012, and they made the arrangement official in late 2013. So far, few details on the progress of the work have been disclosed, but the performance model has been rumored to use a front-engine, all-wheel drive layout with supercapacitors.

2015 Toyota Camry

Mon, 22 Sep 2014

Every car has its definitive year. Whether it be the Chevrolet Corvette, the Ford Mustang, or yes, even the ubiquitous Toyota Camry, 10.2 million of which have been sold since 1983, every car has its year. For the Camry, that year was 1992. With son-of-Lexus styling, a clear sense of purpose and a parent company that had hit its stride as the purveyor of faultlessly reliable family transportation devices, the Camry got its legs in 1992. It's a car that even your mom is likely to remember, even if she never owned one herself.
The Camry you see here represents the closest Toyota has come to emulating the magic formula that made the 1992 model the stuff of legends. Compared to the 2014 model, some 2000 of the car's 6,000 parts are new, most of them involving things you can see or touch (on the outside, for example, only the roof carries over from 2014).
It's not a full redesign, but nevertheless it's a stunning development considering the predecessor upon which it's based only survived two model years. That's a testament to both the hyper-competitive nature of the family sedan segment and the lukewarm critical response that the outgoing car garnered. But that's in the past now - after driving this 2015 model, we suspect the new car's changes will be thorough enough to continue pulling in new customers by the hundreds of thousands each year for the foreseeable future.

Auto execs surveyed say VW, BMW most likely to grow

Thu, 17 Jan 2013

A new survey of top global automotive executives indicates both Volkswagen and BMW are the most likely to grow their market share over the next five years.
Tax advisory firm KPMG LLP has released its 14th annual Global Automotive Executive Survey, which includes responses from over 200 executives. A total of 81 percent of respondents said they expect to see Volkswagen make gains, compared to 70 percent last year. BMW, meanwhile, saw 70 percent of those surveyed say they believe the company will increase its market share. That's a jump of 7 percentage points over last year. This is the first time in the history of the survey that BMW has claimed the second-place spot.
Meanwhile, Hyundai has seen its perceived market share potential slacken for the third year in a row. Around 61 percent of those surveyed predicted gains for Hyundai, down from 63 in 2012. Toyota also has a surprising year, but for just the opposite reason. While the manufacturer had slipped in ranking since 2011, it enjoyed the largest increase of any company in the 2013 survey, jumping to 68 percent from 44 percent last year.
