For sale this "RUST FREE" Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60. The truck comes stock from factory: brown carpet, door panels and rear bench. The two front seats were replaced for better comfort; we still have the originals in a box if you want them. The front seats are from a M3 BMW with new seat covers and has the Land Cruiser embroidered on them. It does have a JVC radio with iPhone/USB connector with a 5 channel amplifier. All components are JL Audio. The CB radio is Cobra.
The suspension has a 4" lift and 33x12.5" tires. The engine is stock and it was upgraded with an Electronic Fuel Injection kit and it provides the truck with 19 mpg on the highway AS IS. The engine was rebuilt about 50k ago before we owned the vehicle. There are no leaks of any kind under the truck. The axles come equipped with ARB lockers on both ends. The installation was done with no electronics and it features two air valves located at the shifting stick. The truck was painted 3 months ago and doesn’t has "rust". The windows are in perfect condition. The windshield glass has a small reparable chip on the driver's side. Windshield wipers, lights, side markers in working condition. Doesn’t have the rear side panels. Also comes with a new Bajarack and a new Tepui Roof top ten that comes with all the accessories.
Driving this truck is very pleasurable. We load the truck with model airplanes and head down to the field. There is a dirt road just before the field, when we hit the grassy area there is no change, not even shaking inside the truck. The suspension is so supple that makes it feel that you could go faster easily thru this terrain. The engine is very quiet. We often relays on the tachometer to shift gears around 2000 rpm and the shifting is very smooth. There is no gear grinding or popping. This truck is ready to go anywhere if you are up to the challenge of driving it coast to coast.

2013 Toyota Camry Hybrid
Tue, 29 Jan 2013Giving Vanilla A Good Name
"Vanilla." Taken in modern context, that's not a compliment, but it should be. Vanilla actually has exotic origins, and as spices go, only saffron is more costly. Despite the realities, calling something "vanilla" is not whistling in admiration. The Toyota Camry has been called "vanilla" countless times since its debut, but both the car and the bean have something up their sleeves.
Scoff all you want, but vanilla is the most popular ice cream flavor, and there is no mainstream sedan that outsells the Camry. Apparently, vanilla has an underlying tinge of filthy lucre. We didn't feel rich, exactly, wheeling around in the Camry Hybrid, but we came away impressed, nonetheless.
GM outsold VW globaly in first quarter, Toyota reports numbers next week
Thu, 18 Apr 2013General Motors released its first quarter sales figures this week, reporting that it sold 2.36 million cars and trucks worldwide. That figure represents an increase of 3.6 percent when compared to the same period last year. GM's growth was attributed to many factors, including global Cadillac sales that were up 26 percent and Chevrolet posting a one percent increase over last year (this marked Chevy's tenth straight year of record global sales).
Volkswagen came in just behind GM, as the German automaker reported global sales from January through March at 2.27 million vehicles, an increase of five percent when compared to last year. While that number was strong, VW is cautioning that markets outside China and the US, such as those in Europe, are becoming a challenge as economies falter.
Yet to report sales is Toyota, current holder of the global world sales crown (the Japanese company sold 9.75 million cars last year, against 9.29 million sold by GM and 9.1 million vehicles sold by VW). Even though GM and Toyota both say they don't care who sells the most units, it is unquestionably a strong bragging point and sales equate to revenue. That said, Toyota will report its first quarter numbers next week.
Watch this video diary of a 900-hp Toyota Supra build
Sat, 08 Jun 2013If you've ever looked at a car with nearly 1,000 horsepower and wondered why anyone needs that amount of thrust, you may want to take a look at the video below. In it, one gentleman details his descent into Toyota Supra madness, starting with a pristine factory example and stumbling down the rabbit hole of modification. What makes this particular clip interesting is just how honest the owner is as he explains the evolution of his car. He doesn't just prattle off a list of parts like he's reading the menu at an IHOP.
Instead, he painstakingly pulls us through the car's growth, detailing each iteration and what pushed him to the next stage of the build every time. From this point of view, it looks less like someone walked into a shop and lit a massive stack of $100 bills on fire and more like a quasi-logical progression of events. Or at least it does to me. You can check out the build in the video below, complete with plenty of Fast and the Furious references and racing. Win, win, win.
