"The Fastest Samurai"

$20000 plus invested

Turbo RX-7 Rotary rebuilt painted polished and fresh
RX-7 5 speed

With 300 high revving horsepower this is the fastest samurai you will likely encounter short of drag dedicated rigs.  Very streetable manners even with rear locker.  This rig will break loose both 35's while rolling.  I tuned this rig for the Sand Dunes of St. Anthony's in Rexburg, ID, but still be a sleeper, street style rig. It drives very nicely on the street and has a stiff 4x4 feel.  The 35's are best off road but if someone wanted a daily driver out of this you could live with the Mudders but obviously the ride is substantially better with AT's or other less aggressive tread styles.  I have used only a couple times in the sand and mostly grocery getting around town so the build is very fresh on every nut bolt and joint.  It has been fun blowing away tuners, Porsches, diesels.  Definitely surprises all who run across it.
Super Nice body
Rust Free
Cleared Metallic Blue with very subtle dark ghost flames
Only minor nicks and superficial scratches
Custom bumpers front and rear
Gears front and rear
locker rear
vinyl seats with tactical covers in good shape
floor covering in good condition
rear seat, folding and good shape
bikini Top (only top included)
Black hood waiting for right air scoop to be mounted
Moly axles
Double Cadron rear drive shaft
OME shocks
Spring over stock leafs (stiff for street)
Front links
Polished Weld Wheels 16's
New Buck Shot mudders Wide
Spacers all around
Magnaflow Muffler
Extreme Clutch (firm pedal feel very strong and smooth)
Boost EGR Oil preasure, Water temp gauge cluster
Small auxiliary Spots Added

Overall condition is excellent and shines at show quality but has blems from time here and there on paint that are minor.  Must see to appreciate, feel, and experience for yourself.  Much, Much faster and better than V6's or V8's
I will try and answer all reasonable questions.  I will answer all questions for serious bidders with feedback history.  $1000 non refundable deposit due at close of auction.  Balance due 7 days or other agreed upon arrangement.  Vehicle is stored securely, indoors when not in use.  If your question goes unanswered please resubmit or rephrase.  This vehicle in its current configuration should be considered an offroad racing vehicle first and a street legal daily driver second. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere exactly as it sits.

Suzuki brings slew of car and bike concepts to Tokyo

Fri, 22 Nov 2013

As an automaker, Suzuki may be long gone from American shores, but it's still a force to be reckoned with in its home country of Japan. At this week's Tokyo Motor Show, the brand known as much for its two-wheeled fare as its four displayed a slew concept vehicles for both drivers and riders.
The first is the Crosshiker concept (above), which Suzuki says is a followup to the Regina concept that debuted two years ago at the Tokyo show. Based on the same platform but elevated to the stance of a crossover, the Crosshiker is motivated by a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine, keeping it eco-chic while appealing to adventurous types with its fun styling.
Next up is the X-Lander Concept (above, left) that Suzuki says was made for use in the city and "sometimes go out to play in the field." Based on the Japanese-market production Jimny, the X-Lander features four-wheel drive and a hybrid powertrain with a 1.3-liter engine.

Toyota, Honda, Nissan and more collaborating to increase fuel efficiency

Sun, 25 May 2014

Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Daihatsu have announced an alliance that will see a push to improve fuel economy from both gas-powered and diesel-powered engines by as much as 30 percent before the end of the decade.
The newly assembled Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines put the roughly $20-million project together, with the Japanese government committing to half the cost while the eight manufacturers will chip in the rest.
According to Automotive News, the automakers will team up and share basic research on internal-combustion engines in a bid to cut costs. Eventually, the results of the research will find its way into a production vehicle, although it's unclear just when we'll see the fruits of this partnership on the road.

Renault appoints Dacia Logan creator to head its Nano-rival program in India

Sat, 29 Dec 2012

After watching the Tata Nano post sales numbers smaller than its engine displacement, Renault gave up on its much publicized intention to build a truly inexpensive car to rival it. Then, a month ago, reports emerged that Renault was resuming work on a couple of low-priced cars for emerging markets, but this time it would work with its in-house partner, Nissan. That plan envisions an offering for €3,000 ($3,888 US) and another for €5,000 ($6,400 US), both of which would be more spendy than the Nano but might avoid the charge of being cheap - and nasty - and instead be considered affordable.
A report in Reuters talks to the man in charge, Gerard Detourbet, who has been in Chennai, India since at least August working on the program. Detourbet led the Dacia Logan project and is considered "Renault's low-cost car specialist" and "the father of entry-car programs." This one is reportedly codenamed A-Entry and will create a "'sub-entry' architecture" that will provide roominess beyond the vehicle's price and class, and use an engine with a displacement of 800 cubic centimeters.
It isn't aimed at the Nano, though - it means to take on the products that make up 45-50 percent of India's car market, like the Maruti Suzuki Alto and Hyundai Eon. According to Reuters, out of the 2.6-million-strong Indian car market the Maruti Suzuki line-up alone nabs one million registrations annually. The Alto 800 begins at 244,000 rupees ($4,440 US), the Eon at 300,000 rupees ($5,559 US), the Chevrolet Spark at about 316,000 ($5,750 US); if Renault can nail its price targets it will just about bracket those three and be right in the game.
