Up for sale is my wife's 2012 Subaru Impreza 2.0i Limited 5-door with the Moonroof Package. I purchased this car with my wife in March of 2011. I worked for a Subaru dealership at the time and sold it to her. We are the original owners and it has a clean carfax. We also purchased the extended 5yr/100k Subaru Factory Warranty! Additional Factory Installed Accessories: Remote Engine Start Rear Spoiler Aero Splash Guards Body Side Moldings All Weather Floor Mats Rear Cargo Tray Rear Bumper Applique We are selling this vehicle because I recently acquired a company vehicle and my wife is taking my 2013 Legacy 3.6R Limited. The Impreza has been a fantastic car with over 31mpg averaged. All services and recalls are up to date. We are non-smokers and my wife used the car to commute about 60 miles per day. I can count on one hand how many times the back seats were sat in. In addition to the factory warranty, this vehicle also has a Genuine Subaru Extended Warranty, bumper to bumper for 5yr/100k. They usually last between 45-50k so they have about 5-10,000 miles left on them. My plan was to get new tires towards the end of the summer. This vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early. Lastly, we still owe ~14k on the car. When the buyer comes for final payment, we can go to a local Chase branch for final payment and payoff the vehicle. Subaru teases all-new Legacy ahead of Chicago debut
Thu, 30 Jan 2014Following the debut of the Legacy Concept at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, it appears Subaru is now ready to show us the real thing. The Japanese automaker has just confirmed that a production-spec Legacy sedan will officially bow at next week's Chicago Auto Show.
All we have to work with right now is the teaser image you see above, as well as some general overview-type stuff from Subaru in regards to its new model. According to the company's press blast, the next Legacy "is a midsize sports sedan which offers enhanced driveability and functionality while achieving a design required for a flagship model with a quality feel." In other words, it's a brand-new Legacy.
The Legacy Concept was a decidedly attractive thing, combining coupe-like styling elements and a new design that sort of reminds us of a Buick Regal GS. Of course, Subaru has a storied history of creating excellent-looking concept cars, only to later unveil very watered-down production versions, so we fully expect its new midsize sedan to be quite a bit more boring than the show car we saw in LA. Let's hope we're wrong.
Subaru details BRZ tS, stops short of full-on STI
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Fans of the sweet-handling Subaru BRZ awaiting some performance enhancements got their hopes up earlier this month when parent Fuji Heavy Industries dropped some teasers hinting at an apparent STI version, but as was subsequently suspected, the model in question - now revealed in full - stops short of being a full-on STI model.
What we're looking at here is the new Subaru BRZ tS, which incorporates a series of enhancements but leaves the engine alone. Available exclusively in the Japanese Domestic Market, the BRZ tS package includes a thicker driveshaft, a front lip spoiler, Brembo ventilated brake discs packed inside 18-inch wheels and a smattering of STI logos inside and out. STI has also upgraded the suspension components, retuned the stability control and exhaust note and enhanced the interior with some carbon and Alcantara touches. An additional GT package includes further upgrades, most noticeably the giant rear wing (made of carbon fiber) shown above, black-painted alloys and Recaro bucket seats.
Only 500 examples of the BRZ tS will be offered in Japan, with no more than 250 of those outfitted with the supplementary GT package. Here's hoping Subaru gives us a taste on this side of the Pacific as well - or better yet, maybe they'll quit joking around and give us the full-on STI already.
Climb to the Clouds returning thanks to Subaru title sponsorship [w/video]
Wed, 31 Jul 2013The Mt. Washington Hillclimb, otherwise known as the Climb to the Clouds, hasn't been done since 2011. That year, Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins set a new record for the event first held in 1904, running the 7.6-mile vertiginous course in 6:11.54. The race will be return in 2014 with the help of that very carmaker, Subaru of America having stepped in to the title sponsor role for what will be the Subaru Mt. Washington Hillclimb.
Taking place from June 26-29, 75 modern and vintage cars will spend three days racing up the 6,288-foot-high mountain. It's not as long nor as high as Pikes Peak, but it does have something that the Colorado competition doesn't: gravel; about 13 percent of the Mt. Washington Carriage Road still hasn't been paved.
