2008 Scion Xb -- Low Miles -- Warranty on 2040-cars
Peoria, Arizona, United States
Offered for sale is a nice 2008 Scion XB that is absolutely loaded and has been meticulously maintained by the Scion dealer. The car has only 88,000 miles on it. It is covered under a bumper to bumper warranty up to 100,000 miles. The vehicles was purchased used as a one owner trade-in so I believe we are the second owners. The vehicle also had a maintenance contract and all oil changes, tire rotations, etc. have always been done by the dealer. The car is loaded with a power moon-roof, tilt, cruise, power windows, locks, remote keyless entry, alarm system, Pioneer factory AM-FM CD w/ premium sound. The brakes are fairly new and three days ago we just had 4 new tires and custom rims installed. The only mishap we had was someone vandalized the LF fender and it has been replaced with a new factory one. This car has the 2.3L Toyota Camry engine in it with the sport shift automatic transmission. It zips! My wife and I are both retired so the car has never been abused. It also has a trailer hitch and wiring harness we towed our Harley with. It tows beautifully (although we have only towed the bike once from Tempe home). Now, there are a few dings and scratches here and there but we decided to offer it the way it is so no one thinks we are hiding anything. This car needs nothing and is ready to go wherever you wish. I have a friend that has offered to touch it up at a decent price but I'll leave that up to you. After I put the nice wheels and tires on my wife decided she wants a 4 dr. pick-up truck so away goes our Scion. Clean title, warranty, and I think there are still some free oil changes left. Also, the tires and wheels have had all of the extra warranties purchased with them. Take a look at the other XB's being offered and then give us a call. She is silver metallic with a charcoal interior. The trailer is also available and the stock rims and hubcaps come with the car. Sorry it took so long to describe but it really is that nice! Now, as I mentioned, there are some flaws such as scuffs, scratches, and a gouge in the front bumper cover, a small dent in the RH fender, scuffs on the rear bumper cover, and a few dings. Overall, it's still a nice solid car with a history and maintenance records available. I do have a friend that can touch up the items for an additional charge but I think you should see it like it is so you know it's for real. Please, if you have ANY questions, contact us BEFORE bidding. Wherever you're at, you can drive this car home with no issues!

Scion xB Release Series 10.0 headed for New York debut
Fri, 11 Apr 2014Toyota promises that upgraded products for Scion are on the way, with the possibility of a redesigned xB coming soon. In the meantime, fans of the boxy hatchback have to make due with the new Release Series 10.0 special edition that is debuting at the 2014 New York Auto Show. The latest limited model puts an emphasis on technology with a wireless charging mat, backup camera, projected logos and a few interior changes.
All the Series 10.0 editions come in Electric Quartz, a pearlescent white color with green highlights, and their steel wheels are covered in Tungsten Gray caps. The exterior's jade color scheme flows inside with the accent stitching on the seats and door panels. This xB is equipped with three projectors - one in the rear bumper displays the company's logo on the ground, and two inside put "xB RS 10.0" on the driver's side and the car's build number on the passenger side. (That's kind of cool, honestly.) Smaller upgrades include piano black trim around the console, illuminated door sills and lit cup holders.
The Release 10.0 edition doesn't see any mechanical changes and uses the same 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 158 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque as all other xBs, mated solely to a four-speed automatic transmission. Scion plans to build 1,500 Series 10.0 models with pricing starting at $20,420, plus a $755 destination charge. Sales begin this summer. Scroll down for the full details in the release.
Scion FR-S Convertible (in Toyota GT86 form) spied in South Africa
Fri, 15 Feb 2013Though the eventual existence of a convertible version of the Toyota GT86 (and its Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ versions for America) is a no-brainer, we've yet to get a glimpse of the real-deal car until now.
Spotted in Cape Town, South Africa, of all places, this completely undisguised GT86 convertible seems to be in a remarkably advanced state of development. The image seen here was obviously sniped from quite a distance and without the aid of a powerful lens, but we can still make out a production-ready looking piece of rear bodywork for the convertible top to hide away in, as well as a functioning trunk lid. It's hard to make out with any certainty, based on this evidence, but there does seem to be space retained behind the front seats for two, small rear chairs.
With the first car spotted, we'd expect to seem some more and better images of it flow through in the near future, and if not, Toyota has already confirmed a concept version for next month's Geneva Motor Show, dubbed FT-86 Open, so stay tuned. For now, click through to the FT86Club.com forum to have a slightly closer look at the images.
2016 Scion iA arrives with price tag 'in the $16,000 range'
Wed, Apr 1 2015The adorkable iA, Scion's first sedan, is likely to appeal to a number of customers who value efficiency, affordability and equipment. And because the iA is essentially a rebadged Mazda2 there should be some pep in this little guy's step. If you're wondering why Mazda would build a car for Toyota, volume is a big reason. 1,003 Toyota dealers have a Scion store, more than one-and-a-half times as many franchises as Mazda, and that translates into higher production numbers. Ignoring the rather tragic grille, the rest of the iA is actually a handsome little four-door, which makes sense, considering the amount of Mazda blood coursing through its veins. One need only compare the shots of the Scion, shown above, and the leaked images of the Thai-market 2 sedan to see the similarity. The headlights and taillights are identical in shape and similar in overall design, while both cars share Mazda's expressive Kodo character lines in the profile. While the 2 is cute and brawny, the iA looks a little sullen, with its catfish-mouth grille drooping low in front of the sloping hood. It's a similar story in the cabin, where Mazda's work is plain to see. The dash is crowned by an ample, standard seven-inch display, which is in turn controlled by either touch or the excellent dial-and-buttons input also found in the Mazda3 and Mazda6. Toyota's Entune system is conspicuous by its absence. A trio of knobs control the HVAC system, while a section of faux leather, complete with stitching, separates the tactile controls from the main display. The instrument cluster is home to a single binnacle, housing the speedometer. A pair of secondary displays feature a tachometer and other ancillary information. Considering that the interior and exterior are almost unchanged from the Mazda2, it's no surprise that the 1.5-liter four-cylinder is also common to both cars. In the iA the lump under the hood makes 106 horsepower, while the Euro-market 2 comes in three flavors – 75 horsepower, 95 hp and 115 hp (with the i-ELOOP system). The 1.5 is paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. Following the theme, the iA's chassis is largely identical to the new 2's. The front suspension is of the MacPherson strut variety, while a torsion-beam axle sits out back with rear drum brakes. The steering assist is electric, which contributes at least partially to the 33-mile-per-gallon city rating and 42-mpg highway.
