I'm the original owner & have all books/window sticker etc. It's ~13 mos old now & has not had ANY issues while I've owned it.

There are ZERO issues w/ the car. Feel free to do a leakdown & compression test--it's all good. The Turbo setup works perfectly & the tune is spot-on. It feels like an OEM setup & the car goes like hell. I'd say it's abt as quick as an '01 C5 Z06 Vette (I had one).

The Turbo has been on the car roughly 3 mos & only has abt 1200 mi on the Turbo/clutch setup.

-12238 mi on car--no paint/bodywork/damage/garaged/nonsmoker. Very clean
-1200 mi on Turbo/clutch/fueling
-P&L Turbo kit hard parts ceramicoated
-FA20 Flex Fuel setup & tune--perfect driveability
-269/307whp on 93/e85 on spring
-ACT 6-puck sprung clutch
-DW 900cc injectors/265 pump
-Lightweight Pulley
All totaled up abt ~$8k to duplicate--it was done right w/o shortcuts. I'm a very particular guy that's been modding cars almost 30 years--so rest assured, the car is dialed in.

Attached dyno sheet shows 307+whp, which was actually done on an e73 mixture--it will make more the higher the ethanol count, since it has the Flex Fuel system on it--very trick. No need to worry about mixing fuel, since it automatically compensates for the fuel in the tank (see pic of Zeitronix display, so it can be monitored). I am including a boost solenoid that will allow the boost pressure to be raised, but it's not installed. I was planning on upping the boost using the solenoid, but did not get around to it before I decided to sell. This car w/ 400+ whp will be vicious...

I have title in-hand & it has a clean CarFax.

I had aftermarket rims/tires on the entire time I had the car, so the OEMs are new.

This is a way to get a Turbo car & save some $$ & hassles doing it.

$27.5k
I feel that's a fair price for what you get on a fully dialed-in car that has plenty of headroom for power upgrades (it should put down 400whp+ w/ 13-14lbs on e85 & the new clutch will hold it).

I can't say the car is without some very minor imperfections--but it's extra clean. I take good care of my things...

***NO TRADES, unless it's an Audi TT RS (no black or white). NO payment plans & ridiculous offers will be automatically declined***

Thanks in advance.

Incrementally better than ever | 2017 Toyota 86 First Drive

Tue, Oct 4 2016

We'd love to tell you that the incremental upgrades bestowed upon Toyota's rear-wheel-drive coupe as it made its transition from Scion FR-S to Toyota 86 have transformed it into a perfect sportscar. If only a few more horsepower, shorter rear-end gearing, and tiny aero updates were enough to quell all the complaints that enthusiasts have leveled at the machine since the platform first hit the road in 2012, this review would have been so much more satisfying to write. Sadly, that's not the case. Don't get us wrong. The 86 is still extremely fun to toss around a twisty road. The chassis is impressively balanced, the steering is direct, and the shifter is sweet. Sorry to impart upon you this well-worn trope, but the old adage that it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than it is to drive a fast car slow is, in this case, completely accurate. The 2017 Toyota 86 is nothing if not entertaining. But it's not completely new. It hasn't been transformed. It is, in the end, the same as it ever was. It will take about three minutes of your time to watch the videos below, in which we cover pretty much everything that's new for the 2017 Toyota 86. Toyota 86s equipped with manual transmissions get a five-pony boost to 205 horsepower and 156 pound-feet of torque. Automatic models soldier forth with a carryover 2.0-liter four-cylinder that puts out 200 hp and 151 lb-ft. Apparently, more than half of Scion FR-S buyers chose the automatic. That's unfortunate, as it drains a good deal of the fun out of the 86 experience. Choose the manual and you'll be rewarded with an easy clutch and a rewarding short-throw shifter. And, as we said, five more ponies, courtesy of intake and exhaust tweaks and the polishing of some internal engine components. The only upside to the automatic is improved fuel economy of 24 miles per gallon in the city and 32 on the highway. Manual 86s are EPA-rated at 21/28. Along with the small bump in power, the 2017 86 gets a 4.3:1 rear-end gear ratio in lieu of the old 4.1:1 unit. That ought to translate into a small improvement in acceleration that really only matters on paper. In the real world, on actual roads, the difference is negligible. To eke the most out of the 86, you have to constantly work the shifter and keep the engine north of 5,000 rpm. It's still not particularly quick, but it's definitely fun. There's plenty of noise inside the 86, from the wind, the road, and the engine.

2015 Scion FR-S gets suspension, appearance enhancements

Thu, 15 May 2014

A couple of weeks ago, we told you about some suspension and appearance changes for the European-market Toyota GT86 - a car that's better known as the Scion FR-S (and Subaru BRZ) here in the United States. At the time, our US contacts at Scion told us we'd have final confirmation "soon" as to whether or not these upgrades would make their way to our FR-S, and now, we have those official details.
For 2015, the FR-S features a more rigid front suspension setup, and the rear shock absorbers have been retuned, all of which has been done to reduce body roll and improve feedback. Other upgrades include a new shark-fin antenna and larger exhaust pipes that are now flush with the rear bodywork. Inside, buyers will be treated to an updated interior panel with a carbon fiber look, the addition of automatic on/off headlights, and a new key design. All of this comes at very little additional cost, with the manual transmission-equipped 2015 FR-S starting at $24,900 (not including $755 for destination) - an increase of $400.
Elsewhere in the Scion range, the tC coupe has been updated slightly for 2015. The not-as-sporty coupe now features steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters on automatic transmission-equipped models, and a couple of new colors are offered: Cosmic Gray and Blizzard Pearl. The 2015 tC starts at $19,210 - the same as the 2014 model.

Scion rolls out its past concepts, one last time

Thu, Mar 24 2016

In 2002, we first met Scion by way of the silver BBx concept you see above, the iconic toaster that soon became the production xB hatchback. That was the official kick-off of Toyota's youth-oriented brand, and it all started right here at the New York Auto Show. But Scion's being phased out this year, and the very last brand-new car is a special edition tC – interesting, since that's the only model not being carried over with Toyota badges. So to commemorate the life of Scion, just as it comes to an end, a number of the brand's most important concepts are on display in New York. The BBx is arguably the most important concept, though the one that garnered the most attention in recent years was the original FR-S (the "Friggin' Really Sweet" car) from the 2011 New York show. That came to production as Scion's (and Toyota's) best-driving car, using a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive architecture shared with the Subaru BRZ. Thankfully, the Scion FR-S will live on as the Toyota 86. Also of note are the 2004 FiveAxie Speedster xA, 2009 Kogi BBQ Truck XD, original 2009 iQ concept (remember the iQ?), and a 2014 tC designed by Slayer. They're all on display here in New York, and you can see them all, one last time, in the gallery above.
