2007 Saab 9-3 2.0t Wagon Turbocharged on 2040-cars
Dorset, Vermont, United States
Fastest, sportiest family car you'll find... Rare wagon model with turbocharged 2.0 litre engine is very quick, interior is in great condition. All leather seats with wood trim throughout the vehicle. Cold weather pkg special edition, tiptronic manual/automatic transmission, power sunroof with sliding moon roof. Privacy slider for cargo bay & roof racks. It's hard to come by these wagon's & when you do they are usually over listed at dealerships. Dealershp book value for it is $7,134. Here's a chance to save a lot of money - listing it for private party book value because it's worth every penny. If we don't sell it in a couple weeks we'll keep it ourselves. Steering is tight, rotors and pads good, fully inspected. When we first purchased it, we had the Saab Specialist in central VT go through it and they said there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. They went through it again this year and gave it a fresh oil change a month ago. We bought it last year with 87K on it and put about 48,000 miles on it in a year and a half doing weekly trips from RI to VT, so all highway miles. Now that we live in VT permanently we don't have to worry about good gas mileage so much so we've "upgraded" to a minivan. All windows, doors, seats, locks, radio, speakers, everything is fully functional. (The only observation we've made is every once in awhile when you start it, it will beep at you saying there is a "steering lock malfunction", then it goes away seconds later. We've asked the saab specialist in VT and he said there is nothing to fix - it's a common fault on this model year triggered when the battery isn't full charged. Doesn't impact safety or driveability) We are having the interior detailed this week (shampoo carpets, etc) so it will be ready for you to drive away.

Saab to reintroduce 9-3 SportCombi as Phoenix development continues
Sun, 27 Apr 2014The saga of Saab goes to show that you can't keep a good automaker down. Founded back in 1947 (the same year, incidentally, as Ferrari, TVR and Maserati defector OSCA), Saab split off from its aerospace division, merged with Scania trucks, was subsequently picked up by General Motors, then pawned off onto Spyker before its current Chinese owners brought it back out of bankruptcy. Now under the auspices of National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS), Saab has official restarted production of the 9-3 sedan, but what are its plans for the future?
In correspondence with Autoblog, NEVS communications director Mikael Ostlund gave us an idea of what to expect. First of all, NEVS is living up to its name by launching an electric version of the 9-3. As we reported a couple of weeks ago, the 9-3 EV currently is undergoing a pilot launch in the Chinese city of Qingdao (which owns part of NEVS) before being rolled out in other markets around the world. But that's not all NEVS has planned for Saab.
The reborn Swedish automaker also plans to relaunch the 9-3 SportCombi to supplement the 9-3 sedan. The wagon version was part of the second-gen 9-3's rollout in the early 2000s, offering increased cargo space and versatility - particularly vital since GM had seen it fit to replace the previous hatchback bodystyle favored by the brand faithful with a more traditional trunked form to lure new buyers into the fold. Although Ostlund confirmed that NEVS has "the option of adding the convertible" back into the lineup, nut has yet to decide on if and when it will do so.
NEV deal to buy Saab delayed
Fri, 03 Aug 2012Remember a month and a half ago when we told you that Saab will "soldier on?" Well, we should have written "stand at attention."
According to SaabsUnited, the deal for National Electric Vehicle Sweden to buy the remaining Saab assets didn't close on schedule. In fact, it's been delayed by "a month, perhaps more." NEVS also seems to have indicated that it's not going to be answering any more questions about the deal until it's completed.
NEVS is supposedly planning on building electric cars based on the design that would have been the next-generation 9-3. The company itself is a partnership between a Chinese energy company and a Japanese investment group.
Rare 9-5 SportCombi, 9-4X models being sold off in Saab asset auction
Mon, 03 Dec 2012Saab lovers take notice. Swedish auction house KVD has some ultra rare Saab products on the block, and we're not talking about a 1950s Saab 92. Up for auction are a bunch of low-mileage Saab models being sold off as part of the bankrupted automaker's assets. Included in the lot of cars are models like the 2012 9-5 SportCombi (above), the 2012 9-4X (shown below) and even a 9-5 sedan driven by Victor Muller himself.
Discovered by PistonHeads, this Saab auction has numerous 9-5 SportCombi and 9-4X models, which should prove to be very rare cars. Only a small number of 9-4Xs were ever sold, and Saab closed up shop before the 9-5 SportCombi could even go on sale here. In addition to the rarity, many of the cars have fewer than 10 miles on their odometers and seemingly low reserve prices; a 9-4X 3.0 XWD Premium with just six miles has a current bid of 180,000 Swedish Krona (just over $27,000 USD) that has already met the reserve price. Some of the cars still have the protective factory shipping tape covering up the interior and exterior.
Other than the rare SportCombis and 9-4Xs being auctioned off, there's also a sharp 2012 9-3 Cabriolet with 11 miles on the clock and a V8-powered 2006 Saab 9-7X with just 3,003 miles.
