Up for auction is a 1986 Rolls Royce Silver Spur. I bought it from the estate of a friend that passed away 4 years ago. It has been sitting inside, in a garage, for all of this time. As you can see from the pictures, the car has front end damage as well as some nicks and dings from sitting in the garage. The car was running when it was parked, but Im sure the fuel is bad so we have not tried to start it. It does turn over and has spark. The car is very rebuildable, interior is in decent shape, the wood needs attention but is not too bad, and I have the front bumper, which is straight, the hood is fixable but bent, 2 head lights in the box, one trim ring, one front side marker, and as you can see, I have the grille with mascot on it. The other option is, it would be an excellent parts car, with thousands of $$$ of parts . I will not give this car away but will sell for a reasonable bid. I also will assist with shipping and can get it most places in the US for $600 or less. Please feel free to email with any questions. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to cancel this auction any time if sold.

Even in a down economy, Rolls-Royce is on a roll
Wed, 05 Dec 2012Limited Volume, Big Margins Spell Success
Bigger isn't always better, especially when it comes to selling super luxury. Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös expects the British automaker to again post a record year, despite the economic troubles in Europe and weak growth in both the US and China.
"It is not all doom and gloom out there," Müller-Ötvös explains, noting that the declining sales in Europe and elsewhere have been offset by good performance for the marque in the Middle East, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Russia.
Rolls-Royce teases Wraith debut in Geneva
Fri, 18 Jan 2013Rolls-Royce is headed to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show with a new addition to its lineup: the Wraith. The ultra-luxury automaker says it plans to start deliveries by the fourth quarter of this year, though details are scarce at the moment. The automaker has contented itself with saying the Wraith will the "most dynamic, powerful and beautiful Rolls-Royce in the company's history." We hear it will be the most modest, too.
Rolls-Royce first began using the Wraith nameplate in 1938. The original car used a tweaked version of the 4.3-liter inline six-cylinder found in the company's 25/30, but its real claim to fame came from the fact that it boasted speed-variable hydraulic dampers. Capable of reaching speeds of up to 85 miles per hour, Rolls-Royce only built 492 examples of the vehicle's chassis.
You can look for the new Wraith to bow at the Geneva Motor Show in March. In the interim, check out the shockingly bare press release below and get ready for a spate of teasers to follow.
Latest Rolls-Royce Wraith teaser reveals fastback form
Tue, 26 Feb 2013In its fourth and final teaser before the 2014 Wraith is introduced next week, Rolls-Royce has released another image of the car showing a distinct fastback appearance. We've seen this car teased in its profile before, but that image had a heavy shadow over the rear of the car obscuring what should be the Wraith's defining element.
Rolls-Royce motorcars aren't exactly known for having overtly sporty proportions, but this could all change with the Wraith's styling. Judging by the teased drawing and official words from Rolls-Royce, the coupe's roofline will flow practically in a straight line from the A-pillar back to the rear of the car. With such a design, the Wraith could well become one of the world's most elegant and expensive hatchbacks, though it may also have a conventional hinged trunk opening.
Over the last month, we've also seen a rear shot of the car as well as glimpse of what the interior has in store, but the two images showing the car's profile give us our best idea of what to expect when the car is unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. Until then, you can check out our winter testing spy shots and read a brief quote from Rolls-Royce design director Giles Taylor in the press release posted below.
