This car also comes with numerous extra parts including a brand new Nardi steering wheel, new windshield and windshield rubber, additional new a/c compressor, additional set of carbs, numerous Crew parts including, fuel filters, oil filters,

Below is the description of the car when I pruchased it:

A very stately and fine condition Silver Shadow finished in Masons black with light tan fine lines to the waist-rails and hub-cap beauty rings. The interior is finished in light tan Connolly hide leather with matching floor rugs.

This is a rare Silver Shadow in that it is a Euro specification car so it has the original design specification chrome bumpers. For the North American market, these were replaced from 1973 onwards with the rather obtrusive chrome and rubber bumpers to meet US newly introduced slow impact regulations. Other features unique to "rest of the world Rolls-Royces" is factory fitted spot lamps, Everflex headlining and the engine is without the plethora of anti-pollution nonsense that other strict US anti-pollution rules dictated. These have since proven to be only power draining and of no environmental advantage for these cars. There are other subtle feature and finish details not seen on non-US cars. These include such options as "left-right selectable" parking lights, left & right-hand door-mounted rear view mirrors, dash indicator for "head lights on", different side-marker lights and rear head-rests with front head rest delete. It also has the optional air-horn feature.

It is indeed an original and crisp example which makes it desirable to collectors and or meticulous classic car buyers. The photos accurately represent its “real-life” condition. This example is a well-ranked 81/2 out of 10 driver example.

As a collector of the Rolls-Royce marque, what is particularly impressive with this Shadow is its very original state. It is not a car that has had a lot of “tidying up” but instead, is a genuine well-looked after example. I understand the Kilometers to be genuine although not verifiable. It has the original owner’s guide, operating manual, jack and tools.

The paint is a high quality repaint of about 8-10 years and is very clean and straight, has a deep luster and very original in presentation. The fine lines have been hand-painted in accordance with Rolls-Royce specifications. There are some minor odd chips, marks and blemishes but these are/were all minor enough to warrant them to be simply professionally brush-touched. There are no signs of any accident damage with the body showing very straight and the paint presents uniform, shiny and very elegantly.

The Connolly hide leather interior is original and has simply been lightly re-Connollised (this is NOT the cheap process of quick fix leather dying but a hand-process of bringing back life and an original look to the leather). The leather presents beautifully with no cracks in the leather – not even the driver’s seat – only the natural creases and it remains supple and true to its Connolly characteristics.

All the Milanese burled walnut wood on the dash-board, forward top-roll, console and door cappings have been redone by the Park-Ward Museum at a cost of some $2,500 and, as you would expect, presents lovely.  The door wood in particular displays a very rich honey-toned grain. Carpets, internal finishes, glass, badging, and bright-work in and out are all in fine condition. The front floor mats shown in the pictures are not hiding any marks or stains and are there only for protection.

Under the hood is extremely tidy and clean. This is very impressive for the age of the car. The trunk is very clean and original with the factory specification black carpets unblemished – a good sign of its well cared-for history.

Mechanically, the car is strong having been work shopped to ensure all is in order. Especially the vital items such as the Citroen licensed hydraulic braking system. Park-Ward has overhauled and or serviced various aspects of it including the brake pumps, accumulators, calipers, lines and hoses. The reservoir has been cleaned and the entire system flushed with new Castrol 363 added, system bled and rear heights set. The suspension has also been serviced with various new bushings fitted. As a result, the car drives smooth and tight and without the signature "thumping" sound typical on older Rolls-Royces when traversing uneven road surfaces. All coming to stop on a dime!

The car sports a good set of Michelin white-wall tyres in their correct size for the model (205/75R15). They have some 80% tread remaining. Exhaust is in good order.

Everything is functional on the car; electric windows, seats, air conditioning, heating and all operational features operating well. Even the clock ticks away noticeably.

There are no outstanding matters requiring attention. To be sure of this, when this car is sold, prior to delivery, it will be put back thru the Park-Ward Museum workshop and re-inspected. If anything is found in need, it will be attended to correctly and the work carried out by professional Rolls-Royce craftsmen. This is completed as part of the purchase price so there is no additional charge**.

Rolls-Royce celebrates Goodwood with Chicane edition Phantom Coupe

Thu, 31 Oct 2013

Of all the automakers out there, perhaps none scream "race track" as quietly as Rolls-Royce. But the British luxury automaker has its home near the Goodwood Motor Circuit, and has honored that proximity with its latest special edition.
Called the Chicane, it's based on the Phantom Coupe and is upgraded with a series of tastefully motorsport-inspired details. It's painted in gunmetal grey with a matte black hood and windshield frame, with matching gunmetal wheels - a modern Rolls-Royce first - and a red interior decked out with carbon-fiber trim and a checkered flag motif that's repeated on the exterior coachline.
The special one-off was commissioned by the dealership in Dubai and was created by the Rolls-Royce Bespoke division. Feel free to read more in the press release below.

Rolls-Royce shows bespoke Pinnacle Travel Phantom in Beijing

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

Rolls-Royce is exclusive. Rolls-Royce's Bespoke Collection, though, takes that exclusivity to the highest levels, representing the very finest work that the craftsmen at the company's Goodwood factory are capable of producing. With the Pinnacle Travel Phantom, set to be shown at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, Rolls-Royce may have finally outdone itself. Apparently, the puzzling name (as well as the reason it's being shown in Beijing) comes from China's second consecutive year as the largest outbound travel market in the world.
The one-off custom job wears a gorgeous two-tone paint scheme, with a section of Silver Sand and a lot of Madeira Red paint. The intricate coachline includes a few small details that just add to the exterior's specialness.
The cabin, though, is where the work has really been done. It has throw pillows, for crying out loud. Ignoring the silvery poofs on the back seats, the cabin is dominated by Morello Red and Seashell leather, the former of which is on the seats, doors and interior partition. The woodwork, is some of the most beautiful we've seen from Rolls-Royce, which is saying something.

Rick Ross crashes Rolls-Royce in drive-by attempt [w/video]

Tue, 29 Jan 2013

Rap star and exotic-car enthusiast, Rick Ross, had a double-close call on Monday morning, escaping harm in what appears to be an attempted drive-by shooting.
According to Fort Lauderdale Police, Ross was driving his 2011 Rolls-Royce Ghost (pictured) with his girlfriend, Shateria Moragne-el, as a passenger at 5:00 AM on Monday. An unnamed gunman in another vehicle opened fire on Ross' car, causing the rapper to turn a corner, lose control of the vehicle and eventually crash into the wall of an apartment complex. Neither Ross nor Moragne-el was injured, despite reports that "dozens" of ammo casings were found at the crime scene.
Ross had been out celebrating his birthday on Sunday night; at nearby restaurant Floridian and a club called LIV in Miami Beach. Reports indicate that the restaurant was also the target of gunfire - some 15 shots that "sounded like they came from a high-powered rifle."
