I purchased this 2012 Ram Crew Cab Laramie 4x4 5.7 Hemi when it was brand new from my Ram dealer after a hail storm. I have replaced the hood with a new take off hood from a new Ram. The fenders have some dents on the top, but the sides are ok. The doors have a few dents. The box sides have dents above the body line. A local body shop gave me an estimate for $1400.00 to perform paintless dent repair on the fenders, doors, and box sides. The roof has dents, which I think could be repaired conventionally at a body shop. The Ram is loaded with the following options: Leather and the front seats are heated. back up camera, adjustable pedals, and a power rear window, Uconnect with bluetooth, navagation, Sirius radio with voice command, power seats, power windows, heated steering wheel, 40GB hard drive, dual climate zones, electric shift transfer case, remote keyless entry, remote start, tire monitor display, factory brake control, receiver hitch, 20 inch rims and heavy duty floor mats. The Ram has a damage disclosure on the title because of the hail damage. (This is not a salvage title vehicle) It still has the remaining factory warranty on the entire truck except for the paint. It has been an excellent truck for me and when I drive 65mph I have gotten between 20-21 mpg. The truck only has 12,157 miles on it. The dents never really bothered me since the truck is white and the dents are alot less noticeable. I reserve the right to end the auction early. Their may be a few more miles on it at the end of the auction because I drive it from time to time. The Ram has only had maintenance done by my Ram dealership. Feel free to call me any time. 605-933-0470. Thanks Russ THIS TRUCK NADA VALUE IS $35,000. |

Chrysler launches new Ram ads and gears up for Super Bowl XLV [w/videos]
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Perhaps no car company has made bigger splashes in the last two years at the Super Bowl than Chrysler, and the automaker's marketing chief, Olivier Francois, said today that he plans to be all over the big game again in February.
Last year, the company made an ad featuring Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood. The spot achieved viral status quickly when pundits charged that Eastwood's lines were politically motivated; meant to appeal to progressive voters/viewers favoring a second term for President Obama. In 2011, agency Wieden & Kennedy burst into the game with a now famous commercial featuring Eminem. Both ads have supported Chrysler's "Imported from Detroit" marketing platform.
Francois briefed reporters Monday at the Detroit Opera House while he also debuted a new series of ads for the Ram brand.
Ram shows its trucks are for work and play
Wed, 06 Nov 2013There are no shortage of pickup trucks at this year's SEMA Show. The popular platform has been ripe for customization for years, so it should come as no shock that Ford, General Motors and Ram are all showing a fair few trucks in Las Vegas. From the Ram camp, we have two offerings - the Ram Sun Chaser and the Ram Dually Case Work Truck.
The Sun Chaser opts for a beach theme, similar to the Fiat 500 Thalassa. Based on the Ram 1500, the Sun Chaser wears Vibrance Orange Blast and Brilliant Black paint, and sports a Mopar roof rack, while the Ram Box system features a water tank and a shower head allowing beach-goers to rinse off before getting back in the truck. A flip-up, seat-back tailgate makes sitting on the back of the truck a bit more comfortable, and it's the kind of cool feature we can see becoming an optional item in the future.
The Sun Chaser mods are rounded out by 17-inch deadlocked wheels, a two-inch lift kit and a Mopar exhaust for the 5.7-liter Hemi V8. The cabin, meanwhile, sports Katzkin leather seats and even more Vibrance Orange Paint.
Ram boosts Heavy Duty truck claims for 2015 [w/video]
Mon, 25 Aug 2014The heavy-duty truck segment boasts some of the tightest competition of any automotive niche in the US. Being able to tout just one best-in-class figure can be a marketing advantage over competitors, and Ram Trucks is adding one more accolade to its tally with a powertrain update for the 2015 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty pickups. Ram now claims best-in-class ratings for torque, towing and payload, depending on configuration.
The major change comes for the 3500 HD with a boost in torque for its Cummins 6.7-liter, inline-six diesel engine. It now produces a meaty 865 pound-feet of twist, a boost of 15 lb-ft, which is the best figure in its segment, according to the company. To eek out the extra power, the mill has more aggressive fuel delivery, and the turbo has been recalibrated. Of course, more grunt would be meaningless if drivers couldn't do anything with it, and the tweaks help allow payload to grow to 7,390 pounds, up from a rating of 7,320 pounds last year. The max towing rating remains unchanged at 30,000 pounds, though.
The rest of the powertrain lineup carries over from last year. The base HD mill is the gasoline-fed 5.7-liter V8 with 383 hp and 400 lb-ft and a six-speed automatic. The next step up is a 6.4-liter V8 with 410 hp and 429 lb-ft. There are also three trims of the 6.7-liter Cummins diesel starting with 350 hp and 660 lb-ft with a six-speed manual gearbox. If buyers opt for a the 68RFE six-speed auto, they get 370 hp and 800 lb-ft. Finally, there's the updated, top-rung version with 385 hp and 865 lb-ft with an Aisin six-speed automatic transmission.
