2007 Porsche Cayman Base 2-Door Coupe -- All Highway Mileage

  • Excellent Condition
  • Meticulously Maintained

This vehicle was used primarily for my drive from Orlando to Pittsburgh. I have vehicles I drove in each respective city and used this Cayman only for the drive up and down the coast. The car is economical (Averages 29 MPG driving highway), comfortable and fit that usage perfectly. Car was impeccably maintained, most of the time ahead of schedule, using only Authentic Porsche parts or Porsche recommended fluids. Completely smoke free vehicle. Interior is excellent. Wheels are fantastic (no curb marks).

New (Porsche Authentic) Clutch & Fly-wheel was installed 3,200 miles ago

New (Porsche Authentic) Brakes, Rotors and Brake Sensors installed 3,200 miles ago

New (Porsche Authentic) Shifter Linkage installed (just being proactive) 3,200 miles ago

Brand New (Porsche Authentic) Coils and Spark plugs installed 12,000 miles ago

Brand New (Porsche Authentic) Timing Chain installed at 100,000 Miles

The only existing issue(s) - Left rear tire pressure sensor battery has died in the unit. Right rear quarter panel has banana sap on it that will need buffed out (VERY minor issue). With all the maintenance and proactive up-keep this is a car that has been flawlessly dependable and I feel very good about the condition in which I am selling it. Buyer would not have anything existing to take care of on the vehicle. Even though the mileage is high the car drives flawless and was driven very sensibly (NEVER driven hard or 'dogged'). I am very honest with my listings and encourage you to email me with any questions. Car can be seen by appointment and specific pictures can be emailed upon request.

Hyundai, Porsche top J.D. Power APEAL study

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

Just as they did in the Initial Quality Study, Porsche and Hyundai have taken the premium and non-premium crown, respectively, for the 2014 J.D. Power APEAL study. This is the tenth consecutive year for that Porsche has been rated the best premium make in the APEAL study, which attempts to figure out how pleased owners are with their purchases. For 2014, it asked 86,000 owners of MY2014 cars to rate their vehicles in 77 different categories 90 days after their initial purchase. The resulting figures were plugged in deliver the APEAL score, which is rated on a 1,000-point scale.
The industry average sits at 794 points for 2014, although that's a one-percent decline over last year's rating. In this year's study, premium brands averaged 840 out of 1,000, while non-premium makes average 785. For their part, Porsche netted an impressive 882 points, while Hyundai earned an 804. Interestingly, only four non-premium brands (Hyundai, Ram, Volkswagen and Mini) finished above the industry average for 2014.
It's also interesting to see the clear delineation between premium and non-premium brands, with an eight-point gap between the non-premium champ, Hyundai, and the lowest-rated premium brand, Volvo.

Drive-up bank robbery perpetrated with Cayenne and WRX

Sat, 14 Sep 2013

Thieves carried out what appears to be a movie-script-perfect robbery of a bank in Sydney, Australia early on Friday morning, using two stolen high-performance vehicles in the process.
At around 11:15 AM local time, in near mid-day light, reports say that two men in masks smashed into the side of a Westpac bank in a confirmed-stolen black Porsche Cayenne. The perpetrators were armed with sledgehammers according to witness reports, and took only about five minutes to take what they were after inside of the bank.
The rapid getaway was executed in a Subaru WRX, also confirmed as a stolen vehicle, while witnesses snapped camera phone images of the illicit goings on. One Twitter user posted a few of the images to his social media feed; you can take a look at them in our small gallery below. Follow on down for the full video report, from The Sydney Morning Herald.

Jaguar F-Type pitted against Porsche 911 Cabriolet by Tiff Needell

Wed, 24 Apr 2013

You knew it wouldn't take long and it looks like EVO is first onto YouTube with a battle between the 2014 Jaguar F-Type and the 2013 Porsche 911. Tiff Needell spends a few laps warming up the tires (read: drifting like mad) in each droptop before getting in a timed run to see who's champion and who's second best.
Before the bell rings, its the Porsche that's got everything to lose, the 50-year-old era-defining sportscar getting on with a 3.4-liter flat-six, 350 horsepower, a seven-speed manual and a 3,197-pound curb weight. Other sportscars, like the F-Type, continue to eye the 911 like a flag atop Everest that they plan to first touch, and then rip from its socket. The mid-trim Jaguar rolls into the contest with a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 with 380 hp, an eight-speed automatic with paddle shifters and a curb weight of 3,521 pounds.
The video below shows you what happens when you let all those numbers fight it out on the same stretch of curvy track. Check it out.
