HERE IS A BEAUTIFUL 2008 PORSCHE CAYENNE. FINISHED WITH A BASALT BLACK METALLIC EXTERIOR AND HAVANNA/SAND BEIGE LEATHER INTERIOR. OPTIONS ON THIS CAYENNE INCLUDE A TIPTRONIC AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, 18 INCH CAYENNE TURBO WHEELS, BI-XENON HEADLIGHTS, FACTORY NAVIGATION SYSTEM, DRIVER SEAT MEMORY, HEATED FRONT SEATS AND STEERING WHEEL, POWER MOONROOF, FRONT AND REAR PARK ASSIST, REAR BACKUP CAMERA AND MUCH MORE.
THIS CAYENNE HAS BEEN SERVICED BY THE PORSCHE DEALERSHIP SINCE NEW AND IT DRIVES EVEN BETTER THAN IT LOOKS. THE 6 CYLINDER ENGINE IS STRONG AND POWERFUL AND THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTS EFFORTLESSLY THROUGH ALL OF THE GEARS. THE STEERING IS TIGHT AND PRECISE AND THE BRAKES FEEL JUST GREAT. ALL OF THE ELECTRICALS WORK PERFECTLY AND THE AIR CONDITIONING IS ICE COLD. THIS REALLY IS A FANTASTIC PORSCHE TO DRIVE.
THE INTERIOR IS STUNNING. THE HAVANNA/SAND BEIGE LEATHER SEATS ARE IN REMARKABLE CONDITION (SEE PICTURES) SHOWING VIRTUALLY NO WEAR AT ALL TO ANY OF THE SEATS. THE DASHBOARD IS LIKE NEW (LOOKS GREAT WITH THE FACTORY NAVIGATION SYSTEM) AND EVEN THE CARPETS DON'T LOOK OR FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE BEEN STEPPED ON THANKS TO THE FACTORY PORSCHE FLOOR MATS THAT HAVE BEEN PROTECTING THEM.
THE EXTERIOR IS WHAT REALLY SETS THIS PARTICULAR CAYENNE APART FROM THE REST. THE BASALT BLACK PAINT IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION (SEE PICTURES) WITH NO MAJOR SCRATCHES OR DINGS ANYWHERE AT ALL. THE PAINT IS STILL BRIGHT AND SHINY JUST LIKE IT WAS IN 2008 WHEN THIS CAYENNE WAS ON THE SHOWROOM FLOOR AT THE PORSCHE DEALERSHIP. ADD THE OPTIONAL 18 INCH CAYENNE TURBO WHEELS MOUNTED ON GREAT TIRES AND THIS CAYENNE REALLY DOES LOOK SPECIAL.
THE 2008 PORSCHE CAYENNE REALLY IS THE ULTIMATE SPORT UTILITY VEHICLE. IT HAS FANTASTIC LOOKS AND PERFORMANCE, ALL WHEEL DRIVE FOR ALL WEATHER AND ROAD CONDITIONS AND ALL OF PORSCHE'S LEGENDARY SAFETY, LUXURY AND RELIABILITY. I HAVE OWNED A LOT OF CAYENNE'S, BUT THIS ONE HAPPENS TO LOOK AND DRIVE AS NICE AS ANY.

2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S
Wed, 04 Sep 2013A Wicked-Fast Street Legal Multi-Tool
Walter Röhrl was carving up the circuit in the Porsche 911 Turbo S like a skilled Jedi Master - and I was sitting next to him, mesmerized by the breathtaking show. I had strapped myself securely into the front passenger bucket of the all-new coupe less than a minute earlier, expecting nothing more than a few quick laps around a track at the hands of another celebrated race driver. Been there, done that. Many times, actually.
Yet this was different. Röhrl was not only calculated and methodical in his approach, but his rally-tuned cerebrum appeared to be actively reading available grip levels while effortlessly tossing the all-wheel-drive Porsche into each corner at gut-wrenching speeds. His hands were moving rapidly, sending tiny steering corrections to the front tires, and he was using every inch of the track to extract more speed. We launched over a curb, dropped a wheel in the dirt and then drifted around a wide off-camber turn. His human precision and focus was astounding, and the performance he was extracting from the machine was just short of breathtaking.
All Porsche 911s to get turbos in 2015?
Sun, 19 Oct 2014Currently, Porsche builds two turbocharged 911s - the Turbo and the Turbo S (and their cabriolet counterparts). The rest of the 911 range, meanwhile, is motivated by either 3.4- or 3.8-liter flat-sixes of varying outputs. This clear separation could be set to change in the very near future, though, as rumors continue to swirl that Porsche's rear-engined range could switch exclusively to turbocharged power.
This time, it's Car projecting that the 911 range will go turbocharged as part of a mid-cycle refresh, with the base Carrera's 3.4-liter dropping to 2.9 liters and adding an iron lung, bumping the entry level 911 up to 400 horsepower. Yes, a 400-horsepower, entry level 911. The Carrera S, meanwhile, will retain its 3.8-liter engine, but will also benefit from turbocharging, increasing output to 530 horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque. So basically, it sounds like the current, 520-hp 911 Turbo will become the next Carrera S.
What does that mean for Porsche's traditional high-performance models? Well, it's a safe bet that the Turbo, Turbo S and eventual GT2 will be producing seriously huge power figures. Based on pure speculation, we wouldn't be shocked to see a 600-hp Turbo, with the S and GT2 increasing output markedly from there.
Porsche 918 Spyder to birth stretched 2+2 version?
Fri, 23 Aug 2013Porsche is known for its ability to spin off a litter of variants from a single model, and according to a report in Automobile the 918 Spyder (pictured here) might not be spared the house trick. Having taken too many brains and too much money for too much time, company chiefs are said to be examining ways to get more for their development euro out of the supercar, and Plan A is apparently otherwise known as Plan 984. That would be a four-seater, rear-wheel drive supercar that uses a stretched mold of the 918's carbon fiber tub, keeping the V8 in the same mid-mounted place and costing around 350,000 euro.
That would be less than half the MSRP of its inspiration, but the details don't sketch out a car that's just half as good. Automobile speculates it would get something like 700 horsepower in order to best the coming 911 GT2, and about 440 pound-feet of torque. The 984 is quite a ways short of being confirmed; even though a full-size study is said to exist, it's like the 918 would need to become a bigger sales hit for the 984 to happen.
The 984's fortunes don't change those of the 960, the supercoupe Porsche is building to challenge Ferrari. Its potential specs haven't changed since the last report in January, power coming from a 5.0-liter, twin-turbo, eight-cylinder boxer engine with something like 650 hp pushing a curb weight of roughly 3,100 pounds. The means a suspected 0-to-60 mile-per-hour time of 2.5 seconds.
