This is a 1989 Porsche 930 Turbo with only 27,500 miles.

Paint:  Excellent condition meaning all original paint tested with paint meter 3.7mm - 5.3mm all the way around.  Some very small stone chips that have been professionally touched up on the front.

Mechanical:  When I inspected the engine on a lift its clear the engine had service.  Oil return tubes were replaced, valve cover gaskets were also done.  The undercarriage is also VERY clean.  The cosmoline is still present and in good condition and looks like a very low mileage car underneath; no corrosion or anything that would lead one to believe this Porsche had any more mileage than what is on the odometer. Transmission Shifts smooth on the up shifts and downshifts. Clutch engages and disengages properly. No slipping or chattering.  AC blows surprisingly colder than most 930s Ive come across.  Electric tops functions as it should.

Interior: Excellent: Dash has no cracks or warping, carpets are still very plush and no excessive wear marks even by the pedals, seats are nice, rear seats are excellent and look close to new, all gauges work, noting is missing from the interior, all electrical works, top is excellent condition with no tears or snags and the material is excellent condition.

Tires and wheels.  Lots of meat left on the tires.  Not sure how much, but the tires look pretty close to new.  No curbing on the wheels, black centers are NOT dry or chipped up. Very nice as you would expect a 27,000 miles Porsche to be.

Miscellaneous. All rubber seals, bellows, body gaskets, trim. rear spoiler and anything else made of rubber all the way around the car is EXCELLENT condition. Excellent: looks like new, but isn't new.  Spare tire and battery area is clean and NO corrosion or battery acid burn marks.

Extras. The boot cover has never been out of the bag. It is NEW never used. Porsche Certificate Of Authenticity,  Air pump is there, gloves with rain jacket, tools, jack, fitted Porsche bra for the front, Porsche car cover. I have the owners manuals, maintenance manual, full color original dealer brochure and misc other things that came in the pouch.  Please see photos.

Complete Porsche.  It will exceed your expectations.  If you would like high rez photos or additional photos please email me.

Porsche looks back on very first 911 Turbo

Wed, 11 Jun 2014

Porsche has really hit on a winning formula with its series of videos going inside its vault. So far, we've seen the V8 911 prototype, mid-engine test mule and aerodynamic prototype. The company is sticking with the 911 theme in the latest entry, but this time it's an actual production car - the very first 911 Turbo ever made.
Being the first Turbo would make it important enough, but the car was also a birthday present for Louise Piëch, daughter of Ferdinand Porsche and sister to Ferry Porsche, and she regularly used the car. The family didn't just hand her a random car off the assembly line, either. She got to make it her own with some interesting modifications. She supposedly even painted landscapes from inside the car.
You have to wonder what Piëch thought of her present. The early Turbos had a reputation for being a bit of a handful to drive. The boost tended to bring the power all at once, which wasn't always welcome when cornering. She deserves some honor just for driving the car on the curvy, alpine roads. Scroll down to learn about this important Porsche, and we can't wait to see what car the brand showcases next.

DP Motorsport tries to turn a vintage Porsche 911 into a sleeper

Tue, 20 Aug 2013

Once you get past the fact that it's hard to call a car a sleeper when it has race-product stickers on its quarter panel, and the script across the back panel reads "Porsche 911 3.2 Sleeper," it's fun to imagine what this car can do. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911, Germany's DP Motorsport took a model from 1986, stripped it of everything - including the paint and undercoating - then replaced everything with lightweight and race-ready parts.
In went race cams and ported cylinder heads, a lightweight flywheel, an RSR titanium racing exhaust, 935-style lollipop seats and RSR carpeting, a lightweight battery, perforated and galvanized hinges and brackets, hardened perspex windows. The 3.2-liter engine puts out 270 horsepower - 70 hp above the stock 911 on sale here in 1986 - and 226 pound-feet of torque through a limited slip differential to staggered wheels. The exterior color is metallic rock-green lacquer.
If you want one, $120,00 is where the part starts, but DP Motorsport says it offers the parts individually if you don't need your vintage Porsche to sleep this hard. On a side note, for a chucklesome journey back in time, check out this review of the 1986 911 that gets things going with this line: "First off, the Porsche 911 is very expensive - how does about 40 thou grab you?" Back on topic, there's a press release below that tells the rest of the story of the 3.2 Sleeper.

Another naked Porsche 911 GT3 RS caught in Stuttgart parking garage

Tue, Jan 6 2015

With its reveal not expected until the Geneva Motor Show in April, we have to wonder why there'd be a rode-hard-put-away-wet 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS sitting out in the open, completely uncovered. It's one thing to be caught out on the street or in triplicate at a Swedish gas station, but it's another thing to be on what looks like daily driving duty – there's a child's seat in the passenger's throne. Instagram user Johan9ff snagged it, and in response to a query in German as to how, he answered in German (per Google Translate) that he found it in a parking garage in a fitness center in the Stuttgart suburb of Killesberg. Based on its muddy front lip and bug-spattered paint job, the coupe has been naked out on the street and traveling quickly. Out of its camouflage it looks just like we've been led to expect based on the patent photos and the recent winter spy shots, but this time we get an up-close view of the vents over the front wheels. We have one word to say about them: filthy. And if you're wondering about those turbo-like vents on the rear haunches, no, this isn't a GT2 – Porsche has said there won't be a GT2, the current race-certified GT3 RSR has those vents (occasionally found on the previous version as well), and the GT3 RS has already been leaked in scale-model form. This is it. Based on comments left on Porsche forums, production will be limited by the number of orders – the new engine won't meet European regulations coming into force, so it won't be manufactured after this year. Deliveries are said to start at the beginning of summer; those who bought the 918 Spyder will get first dibs, and you can be certain there won't be enough of these to go around. Speaking of that engine, it's said to be good for somewhere between 510 to 525 horsepower, a PDK transmission getting power to staggered wheels, 20-inchers in front, 21-inchers in the back. Johan9ff has slowly been posting Instagram photos of the beast, we're hoping he got at least one of the interior. Those seats looks mega. Bring on Geneva.
