The motor is stock with fuel injection but needs rebuilding. It has had some minor rust problems, mainly in the battery box, but was treated with naval jelly and a rust inhibitor paint. The pictures do not show the right side of the car due to the proximity to the garage wall, but is in good condition except for a two inch scratch on the right door caused by a garage door roller that fell between the car and the wall. The interior is in good condition for it's age, except for a separation of the seam on the drivers seat and a small tear on the console (can be seen in the pictures)."

I am the second owner of this car, having bought it in 1976.  It was my primary transportation for about 5 years and then was garaged and used on weekends and as an ongoing project car.  I've made several improvements to the car, including new front and rear rubber bumpers and bumper guards, new front spoiler, fuel pump relocation (to stop vapor locking), muffler, short shifter, and various small parts (like a broken door handle).  Also included with this car are these "new" parts (parts that I bought over the years but never put on the car):  K&N oil filter; Bosch air filter; Conti Tech alternator belt; starter relay; 2 Mintex brake pads; 2 Turbo Tie Rods with 2 washers; 2 Lemforder ball joints; 2 steering box boots; 2 packs of 4 emblem fasteners.  Also, a well used Haynes manual and a 914 Tech Tips 700 book.

I've owned this car for 37 years.  She's not perfect, but she was well maintained and, except for the first 5 years that I drove it, has always been in a garage.  Due to my work, the car has been idle for a few years now, so I've decided it was time to let someone else get her back on the road again.

Porsche Cayenne, Panamera production halted by flooding

Thu, 06 Jun 2013

If you recently ordered a Porsche Cayenne or a Panamera, delivery may take a little longer than originally expected. Automotive News reports that production of both models has been temporarily halted at the Porsche assembly plant in Leipzig, Germany as the result of supply shortages caused by flooding in the nearby Czech Republic. The reason for the stoppage is that the body of the Cayenne - currently Porsche's best-selling model - is produced at a Volkswagen plant in the Czech city of Bratislava and shipped by train to Leipzig.
The report does not indicate why Panamera production has been stopped - that the five-door's body is made at a separate location in Hanover, Germany. However pre-assembly will continue on these models. At full capacity, the Leipzig plant can produce about 450 vehicles per day, and it isn't clear how long this weather-related stoppage will last.

Magnus Walker shows us how driving in LA is done

Tue, May 12 2015

Southern Calfiornia has some great driving roads if you can get out of the city, from the Angeles Crest Highway to Mulholland Drive. Driving in LA itself, on the other hand, is usually more of an ordeal than a pleasure. But Magnus Walker is here to show us we're wrong. In this latest, artfully produced video for eGarage, everyone's favorite outlaw Zuffenhausen enthusiast takes to the streets of Los Angeles in his highly modified 1971 Porsche 911T street racer, carving his favorite route through the city. The drive takes him through plenty of tunnels (so you'll want to turn up your speakers to hear the exhaust note reverberate), around corners aplenty, past the Petersen and even down some freeways – it is LA, after all. But the key here is that he's driving late at night, when the streets are empty and Magnus can do his best homage to C'etait un rendez-vous.
