This is a great car and someone is going to get a lot of car for the money! Please note that I have 100% feedback on eBay for a reason. I describe things accurately and have nothing to hide. Your are bidding on a very nice, clean 2006 Porsche Carrera S. This car was previously involved in a front end collision and professionally repaired. Drives strait, and tracks very true. Im very particular about my vehicles, especially if they have been in any type of collision. The gaps on doors, hood, fenders, etc. are perfect. The paint is beautiful and shines with a deep gloss. You would not know that this car had been in an accident unless you looked at the title. This car runs perfect and has plenty of pulling power. The undercarriage is bone dry with no leaks, drips, or wet spots. The interior of the car shows like new and still has the smell of fresh, new leather. The seat bolsters show no signs of wear. The only noticeable flaw on the interior of the car is the thermostat controls. The rubber coating has started to wear off. This can be easily repaired using Sticky No More products. The wheels on the car are aftermarket and are in perfect shape with absolutely no curb rash or scuffs. The tires are like brand new. My last driver was a 1998 Ferrari 355 GTS and its safe to say that this car has more pulling power and get up and go than my old 355. Bid with confidence as this is a turn key sports car that needs nothing. You will not find more car for the money! Meet the main man behind the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3
Fri, 30 Aug 2013We have yet to catch our breath from our first drive of the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3, but if you're still not sold on the fact that this track-ready 911 is only offered with a PDK transmission, then you should take it up with Andreas Preuninger. Preuninger is the guy who led the team responsible for the latest GT3. Porsche has released a video giving a little backstory of what went into the development of the car, which had as its goal the creation of a pure, rewarding 911 driving experience.
The video captures the sights and sounds of the GT3 perfectly. Perhaps the best part is listening to Preuninger describe one of the defining moments that resulted in replacing the GT3's manual gearbox with the PDK. VW makes $23K on every Porsche sold, more than Bentley or Lamborghini

In Volkswagen Group's financial report for the 2013 fiscal year, it is revealed that that Porsche enjoyed an operating margin of 18 percent. That means the Stuttgart brand made on average about $23,200 per car sold, according to BusinessWeek. Bentley wasn't far behind, and Audi (which was combined with Lamborghini) posted a 10.1 percent margin. This compares to only around 2.9 percent for the Volkswagen brand.
"Luxury brands are on fire," said Dave Sullivan, an industry analyst at AutoPacific. He said that the average profit margin is between six and eight percent. Brands like Porsche and Bentley have the benefit of competing in rarefied markets. Buyers looking at one their vehicles have fewer models to shop against and don't care as much about price. They can also charge more for options, which further boosts income, according to BusinessWeek.
In a way, we should be more impressed by the continued success from Audi. Its models generally have direct competitors in every segment from the other premium automakers. Plus, their buyers aren't the captains of industry who are shopping for a Bentley. Still, the Four Rings is leading rivals in sales so far this year.
World Car of the Year finalists announced
Fri, 07 Mar 2014To say the 2014 Geneva Motor Show was packed full of news is an understatement as big as the show's home at the Palexpo convention center. Despite everything that we were able to cover during this year's show, there's still more coming out of Switzerland, including the announcement of the finalists for the 2014 World Car of the Year Awards.
We reported on the original list of finalists over three weeks ago, and now, that initial list has been pared down to three finalists for each of the five awards. The finalists were announced at a press conference by frequent Autoblog contributor and co-chair of the awards, Matt Davis (above).
The finalists for the overall title of 2014 World Car of the Year are the Audi A3, the BMW 4 Series and the Mazda3. The World Luxury Car of the Year will be either the Bentley Flying Spur, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class or the Land Rover Range Rover Sport, while the Performance Car of the Year will be awarded to the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, the Ferrari 458 Speciale or the Porsche 911 GT3 (which, um, yeah...).
