extremely rare 1998 Porsche 993 C4S This is the last year and model for air cooled Porsches and only 299 C4Ss were made. I am a collector of vintage Porsches and the current owner is a friend of mine, I am helping him out by selling it for him. He is the second owner and is a doctor living in NYC. He purchased to car as a daily driver and thoroughly enjoyed it. Many of the imperfections are common for cars driven and parked in Manhattan on a daily basis. From a mechanical standpoint, this example was maintained at a very high level and all work performed was done by Rennwerke and Paul Miller Porsche in NJ which are a noted and highly respected Porsche shops. That being said, this example is not in pristine condition. I would consider this to be a great driver. I am going to list every imperfection from the interior to the exterior. As all my personal cars are in #1 condition, I would like to share what would be needed to make this example perfect. To start, the entire exterior would need to be painted as there is some type of imperfection on every panel. I am talking about dings, scratches, crazing of paint, and chips. Left front headlight and parking light out (New replacements included) Broken driver side door check. cracked rear center light reflector. On the interior, passenger seat hinge guard broken and I would replace the carpet and have both front seats reupholstered. Please note that these suggestions are for the perfectionist who is purchasing this example for its rarity and to restore. The car is perfectly serviceable as is and can be driven anywhere. Original tools and jack, AC blows strong and cold. All glass is in great condition. Tires and rims are in great condition. (Few minor chips) Door panels, dash, and rear seats in great condition. Car runs great. New brakes at 59K, New alternator at 53K .

2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed statue unveiled

Each year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, a single marque is celebrated with a large and ornate "Central Feature" sculpture, with recent automakers including Audi in 2009, Alfa Romeo in 2010, Jaguar in 2011 and Lotus last year. This year, Porsche gets the honor, and it is using the opportunity to commemorate 50 years of the 911.
The sculpture features three generations of the 911 towering over the Goodwood House. The most recent 991 911 has the lowest position, with an original 1963 car second highest and a 1973 2.7 RS at the top of the pile. Be sure to check out the sculpture for yourself in the gallery of images above.

Ruf RGT 4.2 offers 518 hp of naturally aspirated power

Ruf has a reputation for building some fast interpretations of the Porsche 911, and the company's latest RGT 4.2 at the Geneva Motor Show provides an interesting point of comparison compared to the new GT3 RS that's debuting there. In terms of pure power, the Ruf wins out. The company crafts a flat six with 4.2-liters of displacement making 518 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque with a top speed of 200 miles per hour. In contrast, the latest GT3 RS gets 500 ponies and 338 lb-ft of twist from its direct-injected 4.0-liter mill. Depending on your desires, the RGT 4.2 might have the preferred gearbox too with its six-speed manual versus the Porsche's PDK. Styling is also going to come down to personal tastes between these two. The RGT 4.2 has an almost old-school racing look with its bolted-on fender flares, five-spoke wheels, thick carbon fiber rear wing and lower front air dam. Inside, there's also an integrated roll cage. The RS, on the contrary, appears thoroughly modern with its big fender intakes at the back, slashes just behind the front wheels, CFRP hood and magnesium roof. Check out Ruf's naturally aspirated monster on the Geneva show floor in the gallery, above. The RGT 4.2 maintains a long tradition of Ruf supercars with its outrageous driving performance. Unveiled in 2000, the first RGT was characterised by its powerful, torquey normally-aspirated flat-six engine. With a significantly reduced all-up weight and sports-oriented suspension system, the RGT was an extremely impressive driving machine.Now, in 2015, the RGT remains true its original concept, though its external appearance is clearly more athletic. The wheel arches are more bulbous and the front facade presents huge round air intakes for more effective cooling. The chassis is reinforced by RUF's hallmark Integrated Roll Cage (IRC). Propulsion is provided by its virile 4.2-litre six-cylinder, normally-aspirated engine, developing 525bhp and 500Nm of torque, featuring dry sump lubrication with external oil tank. European auto writers, especially the British, have a bit of a reputation for favoring their own domestic cars over foreign rivals in comparison tests. Just think about how many times you've heard Jeremy Clarkson deify the latest product of UK loins while denigrating an American rival as a hopeless "Yank Tank." However, we have to tip our hats to the folks at Autocar because in its latest video comparing the 2014 Corvette Stingray to the Porsche 911, Jaguar F-Type V8 S and Audi R8, it's actually given the Vette a fair shake.
Autocar has put the Stingray through a battery of tests against what it considers to be the three best sports cars on sale in Europe today. And while the tests that it has chosen are somewhat random and subjective, it has concluded that the C7 can stand up against its rivals, even irrespective of its price. It's one thing to hear about how great the Stingray is from American writers, but it's great to know that not all Brits think we've gone crazy for calling the new Chevrolet "exquisite."
