Early Porsche 911 Coupe 1966, Original Factory Black! Matching Numbers. on 2040-cars
Costa Mesa, California, United States
Rare early 911 Coupe model and production year 1966 in the desirable and rare original factory color Black with black interior. Original California car from new, still registered on its original CA Black license plates! The car is completely matching numbers and unmolested. Kardex from Porsche with original owners service booklet present, both documents showing the same first owner in Los Angeles in 1966. This is a very dry and accident free, matching numbers early 911 with only very very minor rust, a restorers dream with original floors, rockers, doors etc! The car was delivered new in Los Angeles and always stayed in the LA area until this day. Engine, transmission carburetors and
other mechanicals are original to the car, never modified. All tail lights, turn signal lights, Hella 128 fog lights and head lights including lenses are original to the car. The car is running and driving, steers and brakes but needs an overhaul of all mechanicals, it drives around the block but cannot be driven for longer distances due to worn bushings, tie rod ends etc etc. This is an easy restoration project or
could also be turned into a daily driver. The body had a repaint many years
ago, still looks great but is a typical “ten footer” with several
imperfections. My intention was to restore the car here in our shop however we are too busy with current restorations and decided to sell the car as is. The interior is completely original,
still very usable but has lots of patina, see pictures. Spare wheel and jack are present however the tool kit is missing. Trunk carpet was so old that we threw it out. Also the horn button (hockey puck) is missing. This is an excellent unrestored condition vehicle with an awesome solid body with great gaps on panels, doors etc. All chrome and trim is original to the car. For more pictures please email me at henk@carparcusa.com or go to: http://www.carparcusa.com/detail.php?id=197 Don’t miss out on this opportunity, this is a great car in a very rare color combo!!!! I can be reached by phone also, however please note that we are on Pacific Standard time: +1 562 331 0681 The car can be viewed and inspected at our shop address in Costa Mesa, CA by appointment. I reserve the right to end this listing at any time should the vehicle no longer be available for sale. Payment Terms: Payment Methods: Cash (In Person), certified check, bank transfer, or 3rd-party financing. Fees and Taxes: I can assist in shipping worldwide, door to door if desired, however all shipping charges to be paid by the buyer. Vehicle is sold AS-IS, no warranty.

Supercars for the win | Autoblog Podcast #515
Fri, May 19 2017Some days at Autoblog are better than others. And in this episode, we talk about those days. Specifically, the days where we get to drive supercars. Mike Austin, Greg Migliore, and Alex Kierstein join up in this episode to talk about driving the McLaren 720S, Ford GT, and Porsche 911 GT3. We also drove some less-super, but still notable cars that we talk about at the top of the show. And as always, we play the game Spend My Money where we get to tell readers what we'd do if we were them. We had a lot of fun with this one, we hope you enjoy listening to it. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too. Porsche 911 Carrera 4S named Motor Trend Best Driver's Car [w/video]
Thu, 22 Aug 2013Motor Trend has named the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S its best driver's car for 2013. The annual
competition for the title included some of the best performance cars that have gone on sale in the past year. The new C4S follows the 2012 Best Driver's Car award winner, a two-wheel-drive Carrera S.
Determining the winner of the coveted title isn't easy. Each vehicle is pushed through Motor Trend's normal battery of instrumented tests. Editors then spend time with each car over a 500-mile tour of mixed conditions before a final batch of testing at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, with pro racer Randy Pobst at the wheel.
2014 Porsche Panamera arrives with new E-Hybrid, long-wheelbase models
Wed, 03 Apr 2013Porsche will officially unveil the refreshed 2014 Panamera at the Shanghai Motor Show later this month, and there's a whole lot in store for the updated model, far beyond the minimal styling tweaks you see here. Sure, there's a new fascia with more prominent LED lighting (including full LED headlamps) and the rump has been tweaked ever so slightly, but the big news for 2014 concerns what's underneath that rakish skin.
First up, Porsche will now offer a Panamera S E-Hybrid model - a plug-in hybrid that builds on the technology first introduced in the Panamera S Hybrid that we tested in 2011. For this new application, a more powerful electric motor and higher-performance battery have been fitted (official specs have not been released just yet), and Porsche says the battery can be recharged in just two and a half hours when the car is plugged in to a 240-volt outlet, and the charging (as well as other vehicle data) can be monitored via a new Porsche Car Connect app available for Android and iOS devices.
The E-Hybrid will have an all-electric driving range of "greater than 20 miles" and will be able to travel at speeds up to 84 miles per hour solely on electric power.
