See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Over all condition is excellent. Paint is in great shape with a couple of chips/and light scratches. The chin of the front spoiler has some curb rash typical of a car this low but not visible from standing. The wheels are next to perfect with now visible flaws. The back rear tire has some minor cracking but has at least 50 or more % left as all the tires do. The clutch was just replaced in the beginning of august by a certified porsche mechanic. The seats and interior are in amazing shape but the suede inserts seem a little faded. i was thinking of dying them black if the purchaser wishes at my expense. brakes are solid and runs and handles as well as a modern 911 due to its coil over suspension. the nav disc is missing but i will make sure it is in car at point of sale. The top is remarkably great and looks brand new."

For sale is a 911 Carrera 4 cab that is truly the ultimate car for under 30k. As said in the description, it runs well and looks amazing with a tech art body kit (nose, front lip, side skirts, spoiler and rear) also added are 19'' black 997 turbo wheels with Bridgestone potanza 305 rubber in rear and 225 in front.  Its got H&R coil over suspension that rides well and handles amazing. It has a no accident history and a clean carfax but has had paintwork.  the original MSRP was $110k!! factory nav, short throw shifter, heated seats, cd played and power seats were part of the long list of options. The stock seats/interior was done over in a two tone suede/leather combo that is sharp but a little faded.  It has an aftermarket exhaust that sounds great without being too loud as well as an Evo intake/ software. the intake noise above 5000 rpms is intoxicating. Car has Only 74.8 k miles on the odometer

Lexus leads J.D. Power's Vehicle Dependability Study for 2021

Thu, Feb 18 2021

J.D. Power's latest Vehicle Dependability Study is out, and, not surprisingly, Lexus sits at the top for the ninth time in the last 10 years. Right behind Lexus is Porsche, followed by Kia, which is the highest-ranked mass-market brand in the study. Genesis, last year's top-ranked brand (in its first year included in the results), fell from first to eighth, though the G80 sedan did earn an award in its midsize luxury segment. The Porsche 911 was called out as the Most Dependable Model by J.D. Power for the second time in the last three years. The vehicles being studied are from the 2018 model year, which means owners have had three years to get to know their cars and trucks. It's notable that this year's study shows a marked improvement in overall vehicle dependability as tracked by J.D. Power. The overall level of problems, scored by the number of problems per 100 vehicles (PP100), declined by 10% compared to last year.  "The study results validate what we have known for some time," said Dave Sargent, vice president of global automotive at J.D. Power. "Automakers are making increasingly dependable vehicles — but there are still some problem areas that need to be addressed and some warning signs on the horizon." Tesla makes its inaugural appearance on the Dependability Study, though its score of 176 PP100 isn't official. Tesla is the only automaker that has chosen not to grant J.D. Power permission to survey its owners in all 50 states. As we've pointed out in the past, the Vehicle Dependability Study includes eight major vehicle categories grouped by J.D. Power as follows: audio/communication/entertainment/navigation (ACEN); engine/transmission; exterior; interior; features/controls/displays (FCD); driving experience; heating, ventilation and air conditioning; and seats. All issues reported by owners are all tracked equally, which means a problematic phone pairing procedure dings an automaker's rating the same as a blown engine or transmission. And in fact, the ACEN category has more reported problems than any other, which means the majority of problems reported don't lead to a vehicle that leaves its owner stranded. Xcar considers the Porsche 911 GT3's PDK

Fri, May 29 2015

Porsche ruffled some feathers when it unveiled the latest 911 GT3 a couple of years ago with a dual-clutch transmission instead of an old-school manual. The rationale was (and remains) that the PDK makes the enthusiast's Elfen faster than it would be with a stick. The purists scoffed, but Zuffenhausen held firm – and even did the same with the even more hardcore GT3 RS. In its latest video, the boys at Xcar set out to find out if the GT3 with its fancy automated gearbox is as good as the previous model (or as good as the current model could be) with a manual – and took in some of the track toy's other trickery while they were at it. Check out the video above to find out what conclusion they reached.

Popular Science has named the winners in its Best of What's New awards, the victors coming in the categories of aerospace, automotive, engineering, entertainment, gadgets, green, hardware, health, home, recreation, security and software. The automotive category did not go wanting for lauded advancements:

BMW 328i: it's 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gets called out for being more powerful and frugal than the six-cylinder it replaces.
