Up for sale is a rare, 4 GTS in a special order color.  One of only two in the US in this color, according to the dealer.  The car is extremely clean, never smoked or eaten in and has never been a daily driver (my "garage toy").  Extremely fast car with the Sport-Chrono Plus package, 7-speed PDK paddle shift transmission, 408 HP, high performance exhaust manifolds with sport exhaust system, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Stability Management (PSM) just to name a few performance options.  Comfort features include 12--way power seats, embossed with the Porsche crest, that are heated and ventilated for both the driver and passenger, illuminated (Carrera 4 GTS) stainless steel door entry strips, a Bose 9 speaker, 235 watt surround sound system with a Sirius/XM Satellite Radio Tuner, Extend Navigation Mod-PCM 3.0, Bluetooth and extra carbon fiber and leather appointments throughout the interior. All-wheel drive w/Porsche Traction Management. I had recent service completed on (04/10/2013) at (5,026) miles per Porsche maintenance requirements. No active recalls on car per Porsche Dealer as of (05/21/2013).  I have a $345 Fitted car cover and a $712 wind screen that I will include with the car.

This car has a lien held by Porsche Credit and must be satisfied/cleared before delivery to the buyer.  Please contact me through Ebay message center if you have questions.  Thanks for your interest!

UK Porsche GT3 owners are irked that other countries are getting better deals

Sun, 27 Apr 2014

Porsche 911 GT3 owners in the United Kingdom are up in arms, but it's not for the reason you might think. Okay, well it sort of is. See, it's been fairly well documented that 911 GT3 owners have had their cars grounded over concerns that the engines could catch fire. Porsche is rushing to build and install replacement engines in all 800 or so cars, scattered around the globe.
This isn't really the issue. The problem for these British owners is compensation. While the car's have been grounded, car notes still need to be paid. To deal with this, American GT3 owners are being paid $2,000 per month. German owners get 175 euros ($242 at today's rates) per day while a GT3 owner in Dubai is allegedly receiving $12,000 (it's unclear if this is a lump sum or a monthly payment). Basically, if you aren't able to drive your six-figure super car, you shouldn't have to pay for it. Seems reasonable regardless of the make.
British owners, though, aren't being compensated, and for 30 to 35 owners, that's not acceptable. They've banded together and are led by Sunil Mehra.

2013 Porsche 911 RSR makes official debut

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

Porsche is ready to go racing in 2013, showing off a new 911 RSR today that is scheduled to compete in several endurance events this year. Based on the current 991 911, the new RSR will compete in the 2013 season of the World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It will not, however, make an appearance in a North American racing series this year.
The 2013 version of the racecar has increased in wheelbase by some four inches, features a new wishbone front suspension in place of the last-generation's McPherson strut setup and boasts a new, lightweight six-speed racing gearbox. The engine, meanwhile, is an "optimized" version of last year's car, a 460-horsepower 4.0-liter boxer six-cylinder. Extensive use of carbon fiber and polycarbonate windows help the RSR shed weight, and Porsche has also balanced the weight more evenly with a lower center of gravity.
Porsche has thoughtfully dedicated some space to celebrate the 911's 50th Anniversary, with the number 50 clearly visible in the top-down view of the RSR, as well as along the doors. Scroll down to read the full Porsche press release, below.

Jaguar F-Type squares off against Porsche 911, Aston V8 Vantage with Chris Harris

Fri, 21 Jun 2013

Chris Harris is back on the job, taking on really really difficult car questions like: Which enormously sexy and good-to-drive, high-performance convertible is the top of the heap? As one of the hottest cars in the luxury space right now, the Jaguar F-Type S is, of course, in on the action. Competition comes in the form of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster and the Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet. Sun-loving CEOs who despise test-driving need look no further.
Scroll on below for a fully featured (with a running time of more than 20 minutes) comparison video. Harris does his best to entertain - in a typically nitpicky and made-up-British-words fashion - and the moving pictures are lovely to look at. Kick back, pour a pint and get your weekend started off right.
