THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL CAR, NOT BECAUSE ITS MINE, IT IS A BEAUTIFUL CAR ,IN BEATUIFUL CONDITION.
I'M A 72 YEAR OLD CAR ENTHUSIAST. I TRUELY ENJOY THE RESPONSIVENESS, THE POSITIVE ATTITUDE REGARDLESS IF STRAIGHT
OR TWISTS AND TURNS ON THE ROAD. THE CAR TAKES COMMAND OF THE ROAD NEVER BEING A CHALLANGE .
STYLE JUST OVER FLOWS OUT OF ANY 911. I PREFER THE WIDE BODY, THAT EXTRA 1 1/2 INCH ACROSS THE REAR ADDS SO MUCH
MORE TO THE THE STYLE. IT HAS A MUCH GREATER STANCE AND THE LINES GO A LITTLE LONGER TO GIVE THE CAR A BETTER
LOOK. STRICTLY ONE GUYS OPINION.
IF WE TALK QUALITY, ITS CERTAINLY IN THE WORKMANSHIP OF THIS FINE SPORTSCAR, THE SEAMS AND THE FIT SHOW THE
PRECISENESS IN THE BUILDING OF THE CAR. ITS IN THE FIT AND THE SOUND YOU HEAR WHEN YOU CLOSE A DOOR OR SHUT A
HATCH, ITS POSITIVE, IT GIVE A FEELING OF BEING SECURE, YOU NOT ONLY SEE IT, YOU HEAR IT.
I ENJOY DRIVING CARS THAT MAKE ME FEEL GOOD BEHIND THE WHEEL, THIS IS NOT MY FIRST PORSCHE AND DEFINITLY NOT MY
LAST. I ALWAY KEEP THE MILAGE UNDER 20K AND THEN I MOVE ON TO SOMETHING ELSE.
THERE'S A LOT LEFT IN THIS CAR AND YOU'LL ENJOY IT FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.
I HAVE ALL THE RECORDS AND PAPERS FROM NEW WITH THE MOST RECENT DEALER CHECK OVER IN THIS PAST MAY 2017. I HAD THE
DEALER INSTALL NEW TIRES ABOUT 1100 MILES AGO AND THE CARGO LOCK REPLACED.
I DID HAVE A INVISIBLE BRA INSTALLED, ( CLEAR PLASTIC FILM APPLIED TO ALL PAINTED COMPONENTS ON THE EXTERIOR FRONT
END, MIRRORS AND DOOR SILLS. IT'S AN AMASING PRODUCT AND WILL CONTINUE HAVING IT INSTALLED ON ALL MY VECIHLES.
I WILL ANSWER ANY AND ALL QUESTION ABOUT THE CAR ..

Porsche Boxster and Cayman 4-cyl rated from 240 hp to 370 hp

Fri, Jul 31 2015

Car magazine has information on the revised 981.2-series Porsche Boxster and Cayman twins that will inaugurate the all-turbo era for those two ranges. Almost all-turbo, that is - we're told that variants like the Cayman GT4 will continue with the flat-six. The rest, though, will come with a 2.0-liter, horizontally opposed, four-cylinder aided by just one turbocharger, according to Car's sources. Entry-level models will start at 240 horsepower, the S models graduate to 300 hp, the GTS trims get 370 hp. If accurate, the new new outputs will make for a wider power range than at present, and the base and S cars will go down in horsepower. Right now the Boxster gets 265 hp, the Boxster S gets 315 hp, and the Cayman lineup has ten more horsepower than the Boxster across the range but Car doesn't mention that continuing. The only gains come with the GTS models: the Boxster S will go up by 40 hp, the Cayman by 30 hp. To keep turbo lag from being an issue, Porsche could install some sort of e-boost to work while the turbo spools up "as a short-to-mid-term option." It is also possible that the Cayman will be sold as the entry-level vehicle in some markets at a lower price than the Boxster. The swap is planned to help Cayman sales, which have lagged the Boxster since launch. A 2016 unveil is predicted, perhaps at the Detroit Auto Show or Geneva Motor Show. Related Video:

Porsche celebrates Le Mans return with Martini edition 911

Tue, 10 Jun 2014

If we've said it once, we've said it a hundred times - but we'll gladly say it again: there are few racing liveries as iconic as Martini. And while those stripes have adorned countless Lancia and Ford rally cars, grand prix racers (like the latest Williams) and even speedboats, they remain inexorably tied to Porsche. Fortunately that point is not lost on Porsche itself, which has lately put them on its own 918 Spyder, race-spec 911 and all manner of merchandise. And this is the latest.
To celebrate its return to Le Mans this year, Porsche Exclusive is offering this special Martini Racing Edition. It's based on the 911 Carrera S, which means the more potent 3.8-liter flat six with 400 horsepower, but upgrades, as you might have guessed, with a whole mess of Martini Racing stripes and logos, along with the Aerokit Cup front and rear spoilers. The badges and stripes abound inside as well, where you'll also find such optional extras as the Porsche Communication Management system, Bose audio and black leather electric sport seats.
Porsche is offering the 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition in either white or black, but unfortunately not in our market - just in Europe, China and Latin America. Those who miss out will (in certain markets anyway) be able to order the decal set separately though. Feel free to read more in the press release below.

1983 Motorweek showdown pits Porsche 928S vs. Chevy Camaro Z28

Mon, Jan 12 2015

Last month, Motor Trend threw the Camaro Z/28 and Porsche 911 GT3 into the bear pit and let them fight it out. Way back in 1983, MotorWeek had the same idea, comparing the Camaro Z/28 to the Porsche 928S. At the time, the Camaro was America's best selling sports coupe, the 928S was Porsche's top-of-the-line model that also had the highest top speed of any car sold here. And the price differential was even more stark then: $13,600 for the Camaro, $45,000 for the Porsche. That put the Z/28's cast-iron, 5.0-liter V8 with 190 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque against the all-aluminum 4.7-liter V8 with 234 hp and 263 lb-ft in the 928S. Even with that and the Camaro being 14 inches longer than the Porsche, the American was a surprising 40 pounds lighter than the German. The show took them to Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia to see how close a relative performance bargain could hang with a the German GT. Both had five-speed manual transmissions, but the high-speed corners and tight sections of Summit Point would test other handling variables, including the "bone-rattling" Camaro's solid rear axle and disc and drum brake setup vis-a-vis the four-wheel disc brakes and independent suspension on the "firm-but-smooth" Porsche. Paradoxically, the larger disparity 22 years ago resulted in a closer result. Check out the video to see how the Summit was won.
