EXTREMELY RARE OFFERING OF A "10"
3094 MILES

In 2005, I purchased this vehicle new for myself on my 50th birthday from White-Allen Porsche and had it shipped to Seattle. I am the only owner and driver since it was new. White-Allen Porsche originally issued me an Ohio certificate of title which was transferred to a Washington certificate of title. I live just east of Seattle where the vehicle has been hiding from the rain since new and stored in my warm garage. This is a true example of a Porsche that has not been driven in the rain. I have delivered the vehicle annually for an oil change and every 3 years had the brake fluid flushed. The local franchised Porsche Dealer's service department can attest to the mileage as they have serviced the vehicle since I purchased it. I had the original battery replaced close to 2 years ago. I have all the service records, the books, manuals, extra keys, and a trickle charger that are included with the car. The vehicle does have venture shield that was installed at Park Place Motors, which has not faded since it has never been outside overnight or left in the sun. There are absolutely no dings or scratches on this vehicle, nor has it ever had body repairs. It runs, drives and looks as new. I hate to part with it, however, not unlike the past, I don't anticipate having the opportunity to enjoy driving it in the near future. Perhaps for my 65th birthday in a few years, I will be lucky enough to own another Carrera. This is your rare opportunity to purchase basically a new 2004 Carrera Cabriolet at substantial savings over a 2013. I have a clear Washington title. A $5000 deposit by wired funds is due within 3 days of winning the auction and the balance due by wire prior to purchaser taking delivery or by the 7th day. The vehicle is available for inspection locally and I am happy to deliver it to our local Porsche dealer in Bellevue for an inspection at your expense. THE ACTUAL MILES ARE "3094" AS OF JULY 26, 2013. This vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to cancel this auction.

Porsche Panamera gets new diesel in time for Frankfurt

Tue, 03 Sep 2013

Diesel may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Porsche, but in the European market - that vital one which Porsche calls home - diesels are indispensable. Particularly when you're trying to extend beyond niche sports cars and into the mainstream luxury sedan market as Zuffenhausen has with the Panamera. In fact, diesels account for 15 percent of Panamera sales worldwide (even though they're not offered Stateside), so to keep oil-burning customers happy, Porsche has announced a series of upgrades.
Set to be unveiled in the flesh at the fast-approaching Frankfurt Motor Show, the new Panamera Diesel packs 300 horsepower. That's 50 hp (or 20 percent) more than the model it replaces, significantly dropping the 0-62 sprint from 6.8 seconds to 6 flat, and raising top speed from 152 miles per Autobahn-crunching hour to 161. While they were at it, Porsche's engineers also fitted the rear differential with torque vectoring (previously reserved for gasoline-burning models) and retuned the transmission and suspension.
You can delve into the press release below for all the details - including the new model's improved towing capacity! - but the reality, for better or worse, is that the Panamera Diesel isn't offered here. So if you've been celebrating Labor Day (or even Labour Day, for our friends to the north) like we have, don't go looking for it at your local dealer, who will have only a Cayenne Diesel to show you instead.

Force India F1 driver Nico Hulkenberg will drive a Porsche at Le Mans

Mon, Dec 1 2014

Sahara Force India Formula One driver Nico Hulkenberg is officially part of the Porsche factory team for next year's 24 Hours of Le Mans; the last time a current F1 driver got permission from his team to compete in the world's biggest endurance race was in 2009 when Toro Rosso let Sebastien Bourdais pilot for Peugeot. That will make it an even busier May and June for Hulkenberg, who will get to know the 919 Hybrid in race trim by driving the 6 Hours of Spa on May 2. He'll follow that with two F1 races in May, then do the Le Mans practice day on May 31, race for Force India at the Canadian Grand Prix on June 7, be in action for Porsche at Le Mans the next weekend, then back in a Force India the following weekend in Austria. Hulkenberg is the first driver to be named for Porsche's third LMP1 in next year's race, and we already know that former F1 colleague Mark Webber will be in one of the other cars. The other two drivers joining the German haven't been named yet, but speculation is that Porsche GT drivers in the manufacturer team are on the shortlist. Numerous observers also think it could be a suitable job for a certain Englishman who might have competed in his last race for McLaren...
