This is a straight and honest, 2001 996 Turbo that I have purchased in October 2006 for $ 59.800 with 36000mls on it and have no use for it any longer.
A clean an honest car, not one of these units that got all prepped and touched up so that they look good in the pictures. Last time I washed the car was 4 month ago, just now drove it out of the Garage and made these pictures today on April 21st 2013
This is no garage queen, at least not till 2010. For the first 4 years I was all excited about this car and did use it a lot, well as of the last 3 years I am over it and it's sitting in my garage and get's no more use out of it.
Last time I drove it was in January 2013, I just have no need for it any longer. It's just sitting in the Garage under a cover and a trickle charger on it and is taking space away. So now it's for sale before I change my mind and give it to my daughter who keeps on asking me to replace it for her Boxster S.
The seats are Original Porsche GT2 seats and the rear wing is aftermarket larger version, original wing comes with it but I do not have the OEM seats as they did not come with it.
Purchased the car with the Euro Pipe " quiet " full exhaust including headers and Bielstein suspension as well as BCM airfilter.
Rear tires 315/30/18 have less then 100miles on them and the rims got some scratches on them from the last tire change done, front tires are still good. Interior is clean and everything works, middle console has same scuffs on it from the seat belt latch.
Right front fender has a minor scratch and just today I discovered while making the pictures that there is also a light scratch on the front bumper, oh well it's there so there you go.
I have the books for the car as they came when I purchased the car, have changed the oil ever 3000mls at the local oil change place, front and rear brake pads have been replaced apx. 3000mls ago and nothing else was ever needed to be done, no issues and no problems.
Located in Hollywood Florida and can be seen anytime.
The winning bidder will have to pay $ 1500 deposit via paypal and the balance to be paid via cashier check or bank transfer or cash.
International buyers are welcome to bid if you have the intention to actually pay for your purchase, will assist with delivery to nearest port or shipper.
If your cashier check looks funny then be sure that the car won't till I have cashed it in and my neighbor who is a cop will be happy to greet you in person if there is a problem.
If you are one of the typical internet fraudsters who wants to send a money order with the transporter then don't waist your time.
For any other questions, just drop me a message.

Porsche Fire and Ice is chilling art born of flames
Wed, 01 Jan 2014Porsche held a contest inviting ten filmmakers to riff on the tagline for the Panamera, "Thrilling Contradictions," in a 60-second film. The winner was an entry called Fire and Ice by director Ross Cohen, a concept that uses just those two elements in a premise as simple as it is rewarding. For his efforts, Cohen will receive a trip to the Chicago International Film Festival, and you might see the short in the pre-movie advertisements in a theater served by Spotlight Cinema Networks.
Porsche did this kind of thing just two years ago, when it asked filmmakers to illustrate the idea of "Everyday Magic". The winner of that contest, Michael Korbel's It's a Magical Life, followed the journey of a young man to husband and father from the perspective of the trunk of a 911. You'll find that video as well as Fire and Ice below.
Porsche offers detuned Boxster and Cayman 211 in Europe
Mon, 15 Sep 2014Looking at a new Porsche Boxster? First of all, we commend you on your choice, because in its latest iteration, the Boxster has sped out from under the shadow of the 911 and into its own. But now to choose: do you get the base model with 265 horsepower, the Boxster S with 315 hp, or the top-of-the-line Boxster GTS with 330 hp? It's a daunting question, considering the $10k+ price gap between each model that you could put into the gas-and-rubber jar. Same goes for the Cayman, albeit with ten more horses across the board. But as if that's not confusing enough, there appears to be another player on the field. (That is, at least, in certain European markets.)
Appearing on the company's Belgian and Norwegian sites are the Boxster 211 and Cayman 211. As you might have guessed, they pack a less substantial 211 horsepower, undercutting what we know as the base models. Instead of using a smaller engine, though, the Boxster and Cayman 211 get the same 2.7-liter boxer six, just with less power.
As a result, they're a bit slower off the line: the Boxster 211 takes between 6.1 and 6.4 seconds to get to 62, depending on exact specifications, compared to the 5.5- to 5.8-second range for the 265-hp Boxster, while the Cayman 211 is quoted at 6.2 seconds versus the 275-hp Cayman's 5.4 to 5.7 seconds. Fuel consumption and emissions, on the other hand (and as you'd expect), are better in the 211. But while Porsche Norway charges around $10k less for the 211 models, Porsche Belgium charges the same for the 211 models as it does for the next most powerful versions (from which they appear to be visually indistinguishable).
Porsche finally moving ahead with flat four engine
Sun, 23 Mar 2014When Porsche released the first Boxster in 1996 and the first Cayman in 2005, the idea was to create an entry-level model for the German automaker's sports car range. The latest iterations of both closely related models, however, have begun to encroach dangerously on the 911's territory, particularly in their newest GTS specifications. That could be about to change, however, with the introduction of a four-cylinder engine for the compact mid-engined coupe and roadster.
According to Automotive News, Porsche is finally preparing to launch a new boxer four engine in the Boxster and Cayman, following years of speculation. The engine would be based on the same architecture as the company's famous flat six, but with two fewer cylinders to cut weight. Don't expect it to cut much in the way of performance, however: Porsche chief Matthias Muller indicates that the new engine could produce as much as 395 horsepower - significantly more than even the 340hp flat six in the Cayman GTS, suggesting that the engine could even find its way into the 911 as well.
It's no more clear which markets would get the four-cylinder engine, either. But wherever it is offered and in whichever form, it wouldn't be the first time we'd see a Porsche with a four-pot engine. Not by a long shot. Both the classic 912 and 356 were powered by boxer fours, as was the 914 - not to mention the 718 pictured above and the iconic 550 Spyder. The front-engined 924, 944 and 968 packed inline-four engines, but the last of those were discontinued in the 1990s. The prospect of a four-cylinder Boxster/Cayman has been rumored for many years now, most recently joined by the possibility of a four-pot Macan as well.
