2001 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo W/$25,000 In Upgrades!!!! on 2040-cars
Hollywood, Florida, United States
2001 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo W/ $25,000 in upgrades done by Motor Werk Racing. It has the best of everything. I Bought this car from a friend last year in October, where it had been garage kept for all these years. I myself have barely driven this car within the 6 months I've had it. This car is flawless only taken out occasionally, i think AT most Ive put 1000 miles since I've owned it and i am the 3rd owner. Pro Golfer Mark O’Meara was the 1st. Although it has some mods, it drives like a normal car, lite clutch, short shift, etc. the boost is set at a very conservative 1.1 bar. Other features are as follows: 18" Porsche Champion Wheels, Custom Car Cover, Factory Navigation, AM/FM/CD, A/C, Automatic Wing Controller, Power Windows, Power Locks, Original Paint, NOT A Blemish on this car, high performance suspension kit, Revo Roll Cage and the list goes on and on. The GT2 from Porsche is set at 1.2 from the factory and is very conservative. All I can tell you is that it’s a beautiful car, and has never given me a minutes problem. It is set up for track for fun, Never for professional use. All upgrades that have been done will be visible in the photo gallery. You will never lose money on this car in the future, this market has flattened out, and with the ultra low mileage, it’s a good investment. I’m asking $60,000 OBO. I will listen to offers. Please Serious Inquiries Only!!! If you have any questions you may message me through Ebay or Call me at 3059156741. For All Porsche enthusiast this car is the one you've been looking for! |

Porsche Cayenne, Panamera production halted by flooding
Thu, 06 Jun 2013If you recently ordered a Porsche Cayenne or a Panamera, delivery may take a little longer than originally expected. Automotive News reports that production of both models has been temporarily halted at the Porsche assembly plant in Leipzig, Germany as the result of supply shortages caused by flooding in the nearby Czech Republic. The reason for the stoppage is that the body of the Cayenne - currently Porsche's best-selling model - is produced at a Volkswagen plant in the Czech city of Bratislava and shipped by train to Leipzig.
The report does not indicate why Panamera production has been stopped - that the five-door's body is made at a separate location in Hanover, Germany. However pre-assembly will continue on these models. At full capacity, the Leipzig plant can produce about 450 vehicles per day, and it isn't clear how long this weather-related stoppage will last.
Porsche Museum highlights history of the 911 RSR
Sat, 12 Jan 2013Porsche has amassed quite an impressive trophy case in just about every racing series it has ever entered, and one of its most dominant machines has to be the 911 RSR from the 1970s. Taking part in various GT-class competitions, the 911 RSR managed to take home three international and seven German victories in 1973, its very first year of competition.
Not one to downplay its racing successes, Porsche has released an informative video detailing the 911 RSR's impressive heritage. The 1973 RSR model owned by the Porsche Museum is detailed beautifully on video, and we have to say it looks absolutely stunning in its vintage Martini Racing livery.
Have a look at the video below for some historic racing action, along with static shots of one of our favorite Porsche models ever created.
NHTSA closes probe into 2011 Porsche 911 coolant leaks
Thu, 13 Mar 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that it will end its investigation into rapid coolant loss in 24,635 Porsche 911s built between 2001 and 2011. The models affected included the standard 911, GT2, GT3 and Turbo, as well as their variants (GT2 RS, GT3 RS and Turbo S).
NHTSA was investigating for "rapid coolant loss caused by coolant pipe-fitting failure, allegedly resulting in vehicle disablement and/or loss of vehicle control due to reduced traction for the affected vehicle or following traffic," according to the regulators website. "Most of the leak complaints did not appear to involve complete separation of the fittings and many were detected when the vehicle was parked," said NHTSA's statement.
There were 63 complaints and 336 warranty claims, although the investigation was initiated after ten complaints from customers. There have been no reports of crashes or injuries attributed to rapid coolant loss.
