**Just some fun facts**

1.  To all the other dealers and individuals that "watch" the auction to see what this car will sell for....  I'm just saying "Hello"!

2.  When abusing..... oh, I mean using the offer option, think of the response you'll get before you make the offer.  If you never purchased a vehicle in your lifetime, ever, you'll be quickly educated.  If you have, my response shouldn't be a surprise to you then.  Only after you check all the car pricing guides/tools available online, make an offer.  The offer needs to be somewhere around 5% - 10% less than the listed price.  Those who offer half the listed price will be reported to eBay and you will not be able to bid on vehicles... unless you sign up for a new eBay account (lose all your feedback, etc), but who really wants to do that??

3.  The "Buy It Now" price is designed for that person who knows this is the car they want and they don't want to lose it before someone else buys it.  People who understand the waste of time and money it takes to look at 100 cars over a period of 6 months know that it's worth paying extra to get exactly what they want and when they want it.

4.  I am NOT a dopey car salesperson.  I DO have a sense of concern for good business and quality.  I also have a good sense of humor and love what I do.  I have a passion for cars, I don't just sell them to pay my bills.

5.  This is a complete 100% fact in the car business...  The closer it gets to Memorial Day, the higher the prices are for convertibles.  Don't wait for that first warm day up north when you and 10 others are calling me about a vehicle for sale.

Come and see this beautiful Porsche. It is in the right color combination, especially because the top is black and it doesn't show any wear like the lighter colors do. Runs and Drives perfect. Ice Cold A/C too. The 6-Speed manual transmission and clutch shift perfectly with no noises or clunking.  Take avantage of the All-Wheel-Drive system for amazing handling and cornering.  This Porsche only has 71k miles on it and it has been well kept. The silver paint is very glossy and there is no rust on the body anywhere. Everything works and is clean. The car comes with floor mats, spare tire and jack. There is no damage on the vehicle other than a small spot on the bottom of the left-side rear bumper, which you barely see (This is what is noted in the Carfax report, so don't panic!).  The rest of the body is mint with no dents, dings or scratches.  The leather interior is very clean and basically like new. No rips on the seats and the driver's side seat bolster is not torn up like most others.  This car has the FULL Leather Interior, which is optional.  The Seats, Dash, Doors, and Trim are all Leather.  This car was garage kept and it shows all around.  The passenger seat doesn't even look like someone sat in it.  Please see the pictures.  All the windows open and close smoothly and quietly.  If you know Porsche,  you know that the windows can make cracking noises when they operate.  Not this one.  This car is completely stock.  No modifications at all.  Adult driven, Garage Kept, and clean as a whistle.  Beware of others for sale for a little bit less, but need $5,000 worth of work done to them.  The engine, transmission, and drivetrain are in PERFECT condition.  This car DOES NOT leak any fluids at all.  The interior and dash are in AMAZING condition.  No weird noises, no weird smells, etc.

eBay no longer allows direct links to Carfax reports, so please message me and I will gladly send you the link.

I can pretty much guarantee that if you come to see the car, you will want to buy it.  Yes, I'm that confident!

At Tech Line Auto Sales, we only purchase and re-sell quality, hand picked, vehicles. All of the vehicles are put through a 110-point inspection and are test driven as they were our only cars. Any issues found are fixed before the vehicle is sold. When other cars are listed and they say, "this can be easily fixed", that means it can't be fixed easily or not costly... otherwise, they would have fixed it beforehand.   All used vehicles are sold AS-IS.  We do not have a lot with a thousand cars on it.  We only sell 1-2 at a time.  Your buying experience will be like having a personal concierge.  There are no pushy sales people here.  Just the car you want and the right price.  We GUARANTEE you will be happy with your purchase.

Some people have inquired as to what we have done to the vehicle to have it "ready" for sale.  As we went through our inspection, we replace items that do not pass our quality tests.  Here is a list of what we did to make this vehicle perfect:

  • New Fuel Pump and Filter
  • New Headlight Switch
  • New Battery
  • New Water Pump and Coolant System Flush
  • New Hood and Trunk Shocks
  • Full Mobil-1 Synthetic Oil Service.  No debris in oil.  IMS bearing checked and good.
  • Clutch had been replaced by previous owner and is fairly new.

Please email or call us with any questions or to set up a meeting. 631-848-5550. If you wish to have the vehicle shipped, we will help you with the arrangements. If you would like to have the car inspected, please have the inspection company contact us to arrange the inspection.

Buyers are required to make a $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. Full payment is due 7 days after the purchase is complete. If you are not able to pick up the vehicle for a longer period of time, you will still be required to send in the final payment prior to pick up.  Please have your funds or financing ready prior to purchase.  Winning the auction means you made a commitment to purchase, not to have 7 more days to think about it.  Only bid or make offers when you are ready to complete the transaction.  Thank you.

This vehicle is being sold AS-IS.

Please plan ahead! Do not wait until the last day to consider the vehicle if this is the car you want. The listing is posted nationally so everyone in the US can see it and will inquire about it. A sale is only a deal when you click the Buy it Now or we accept the best offer. If we agree on a price via email and another buyer clicks the buy it now, they will be the purchaser. We are only saying this to avoid confusion and to make it fair for everyone.

Thank you for looking!

This is how the new turbo Porsche 911 Carrera sounds

Sun, Sep 13 2015

We have our first audio sample of the turbocharged flat-six engine in the standard Porsche 911 Carrera. By way of reminder, the boosted 3.0-liter engines will put out 370 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque in entry-level guise, 420 ponies and 368 lb-ft in the S models. To our ears, it sounds good. Yes, it's a commercial, true, we don't know what audio trickery the agency whipped up during post-production. But the sound in the commercial is good. Besides, Porsche knows what it's doing. Every time the brand breaks one of the purist's laws, the 911 accelerates through the wailing and gnashing of teeth to sell better than ever. Heck, the company's own engineers tried to beat the 911 with the introduction of the arguably much better 928, and we see how that turned out. So no matter what we think of the commercial, we have a feeling the sound of the turbocharged standard 911 will remain the same mythical siren to enthusiast ears around the world. On top of that, the new coupe and convertible are quicker, faster, more powerful, and still come with a seven-speed manual transmission if you choose. Porsche might taketh away, but to make up for it they giveth and giveth and giveth. Check out the noises in the video above, and some more of the advanced features on the new 911 in the video below. Porsche Cayman GTS in track battle with 996 GT3

Wed, 09 Jul 2014

Here's your tough question of the day: Would you rather drive a new Porsche Cayman GTS or a slightly older, 996-era Porsche 911 GT3? Certainly, both cars have their plusses. The Cayman is the more modern proposition, sure, but the GT3 is, well, a GT3. So yes, it's a tough decision.
If you're one of the lucky souls that have to make that choice, then this video from Evo should prove pretty helpful. It's a track battle, starring Jethro Bovingdon with a new GTS and an old GT3.
Calling the GTS "fantastically agile" and "fast, but it's also hilariously good fun," Bovingdon bangs home a solid lap time of 1:05.2 before switching to the GT3. It's remarkable to see just how dated the 996-generation 911 looks after viewing the newer Porsche, and from where we sit, it's further proof that the old car's headlights are something that's best forgotten. Styling qualms aside, though, can the GT3 keep up with its racy younger cousin?

Supercars for the win | Autoblog Podcast #515

Fri, May 19 2017

Some days at Autoblog are better than others. And in this episode, we talk about those days. Specifically, the days where we get to drive supercars. Mike Austin, Greg Migliore, and Alex Kierstein join up in this episode to talk about driving the McLaren 720S, Ford GT, and Porsche 911 GT3. We also drove some less-super, but still notable cars that we talk about at the top of the show. And as always, we play the game Spend My Money where we get to tell readers what we'd do if we were them. We had a lot of fun with this one, we hope you enjoy listening to it. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too.
